A little assistance to help please

Good morning ,

This is a plea for help lol. I am currently on holiday so haven’t yet had a chance to use/test the newest build/update. I absolutely love this game and have been a member of early access from day 1.

I am however computer illiterate and do not understand when people go on about .json files etc. I believe my pc is kind of mid range with an i5 processor, nvidia GTX 1060 card, 8 gig ram but I do not think I am getting the most from it. I can get consistent 60fps on tracks like Monza, Silverstone, Barcelona, Nurburgring but tracks like Hungaroring and Zolder it becomes very stuttery. I do have to limit cars on track to around 12 to achieve 60fps at Monza. Where I get confused is when people say they get buttery smooth gameplay with 30 cars on track as most of my settings are set to mid/high with no mirrors and this just doesn’t work for me

I live in the central belt of Scotland and would be more than happy if there are local experts to me who could maybe assist in getting my game to the next level whether that be through fine tuning files or component upgrades. I don’t mind paying for there assistance either because I want to experience this game for what it truly is

Any assistance is greatly appreciated. I think my spec is in my signature but not sure as posting from phone while on holiday

That CPU wont cut it for full grid of AI. I'm on i5 6500 and i have FPS drops at the beginning of AI races with more than 15 cars. Online is good though unless you go for 64 people race on Spa (haven't tried it yet, just what i think) Also no idea about how game runs on 8 GB of ram.

 

Thanks, I’m definitely going to add another 8gb ram and probably upgrade from i5 to an i7 or i9 (dependant on price).

 

i9 will be a massive overkill in combination with your gtx 1060.

Depending on what motherboard you have, it may be possible to do a good bargain on a used i7 model, which is compatible and slots directly into your motherboard. What i5 cpu do you have currently?

best option is to turn down graphics and don't run anymore than 15 A.I

 

Hi Ochilbaz as you can see in my signature I have a mid-low pc hardware. I have no problem with 8 gb of ram because in game i'm even between 4500 and 6000 (6500 at max). I can drive with vsync on at 60 fps but with some drop to 52/54 and so I prefer block the fps at 50 with ultra texture and ultra AA.. other thing on mid (shadow, post pr, effect...). At 50 fps is very good gor me (the human eyes notes the difference under 30..). In Sp I drive with 14/16 AI because I don't need 30 cars. In MP never had problem also with 28 pp.
