1. Do you need support for Assetto Corsa Competizione? Please use the proper forum below and ALWAYS zip and attach the WHOLE "Logs" folder in your c:\users\*youruser*\AppData\Local\AC2\Saved. The "AppData" folder is hidden by default, check "Hidden items" in your Windows view properties. If you report a crash, ALWAYS zip and attach the WHOLE "Crashes" folder in the same directory. Do not post "I have the same issue" in an existing thread with a game crash, always open your own thread. Do not PM developers and staff members for personal troubleshooting and support.
  2. As part of our continuous maintenance and improvements to Assetto Corsa Competizione we will be releasing small updates on a regular basis during the esports season which might not go through the usual announcement process detailing the changes until a later version update where these changes will be listed retrospectively.
  3. If ACC doesn't start with an error or the executable is missing, please add your entire Steam directory to the exceptions in your antivirus software, run a Steam integrity check or reinstall the game altogether. Make sure you add the User/Documents/Assetto Corsa Competizione folder to your antivirus/Defender exceptions and exclude it from any file sharing app (GDrive, OneDrive or Dropbox)! The Corsair iCue software is also known to conflict with Input Device initialization, if the game does not start up and you have such devices, please try disabling the iCue software and try again. [file:unknown] [line: 95] secure crt: invalid error is a sign of antivirus interference, while [Pak chunk signing mismatch on chunk] indicates a corrupted installation that requires game file verification.
  4. When reporting an issue with saved games, please always zip and attach your entire User/Documents/Assetto Corsa Competizione/Savegame folder, along with the logs and the crash folder (when reporting related to a crash).

Spa *BigGrid* race event / stress test

Every Wednesday *AND NOW SUNDAY* evenings i'll be hosting a BigGrid race event! Open to everyone with SA80 (Server #1)/SA60 (Server #2), 3 track medals...and please, spread the word about it. :)

Wednesday BigGrid - Server is live @ 8pm GMT! FP 30 mins / Quali 15 mins / Race 60 mins and dry conditions for tracks capable of over 60 cars/ dynamic weather for all others with a compulsory 10 minute pitstop window (MUST change tires/no refuelling allowed).

    *NEW*

Sunday BigGrid - Server is live @ 7:30pm GMT! FP 30 mins / Quali 15 mins / Race 90 mins and dry conditions for tracks capable of over 60 cars/ dynamic weather for all others with a 80 minute driver stint time (TBC)

PW to all events = biggrid

....Oh, there's probably going to be a few people getting lapped in these events so i asked Mike Nobel to throw a few words together on how *if* your being lapped you should behave...

"'If you are a backmarker and you are about to get lapped, please keep on following the regular racing line. The faster car behind you will find a place to overtake. When he starts the overtake do not block him, or do not drive defensively. Another thing you can do (increases safe driving ) when the car behind you is very close, is lifting the throttle BEFORE braking zones. You do not lose a lot of time, and the car behind you can safely attempt the overtake.
Another situation if you are in a battle for position and your about to be lapped by the leaders, you are NOT required to slow down / give position to the faster guy behind you. Only when the guy lapping you attempts a overtake manoeuvre you NEED to give space and let him through.

Also, not braking on random / dangerous / corner exits just to let the guy behind you through. Slow down on straights instead by lifting the throttle slightly.

    Be predictable, not unpredictable."

    *NOTE*

PLEASE make sure your PC is running at it's best as some of the larger grids can tax even the best system!

I love the idea of that! Sadly it's not the perfect time for me, so I can't participate (my PC looks to be pretty happy now as I say this). But the idea of weekly events is awesome (maybe a bit earlier and not on wednesday?)

    Naff off slipper. :)

Anyways, race went off pretty well driving standards wise, few people had/need to be wrapped over the knuckles but generally everyone gets the thumbs up!

Here's the results file from the race. :)

Running with a i5-2500k @ 4,4 Ghz it was possible to play (visible cars set @ 20). Normally I have my framerate cap @75 fps, but with that value I got steadily CPU warnings and it was stuttering like hell. After reducing to 50 fps and reducing some AA, Texture and Foliage it was a really good experience. During start I had some longer stutters, but I could hold the car on track.

Nice race! Even with the "big grid" I drove on my own for a lot of it, needs bigger grid :). 60 people seems around the max, the race was nearly 100% smooth 60fps+ for me on triples with 7700K, 1080ti, 16GB. I only turned down opponent visibility down to 30 the rest remained on high/epic I normally use.

FP and Q had these strange occasional 1 sec stuttering periods. That seems a game issue....

I wasnt part of this stress test, but I'd love to see weekly events like this. Often I find 20 mins not enough to compensate for my lack of outright space.

I'm imagining (or wishful thinking) that longer races will offer more possibilities to make up for the lack of sheer pace...

If someone could share a full replay file here it may be a way to see how peoples systems cope with that amount of cars. ;)
