1. Do you need support for Assetto Corsa Competizione? Please use the proper forum below and ALWAYS zip and attach the WHOLE "Logs" folder in your c:\users\*youruser*\AppData\Local\AC2\Saved. The "AppData" folder is hidden by default, check "Hidden items" in your Windows view properties. If you report a crash, ALWAYS zip and attach the WHOLE "Crashes" folder in the same directory. Do not post "I have the same issue" in an existing thread with a game crash, always open your own thread. Do not PM developers and staff members for personal troubleshooting and support.
  2. As part of our continuous maintenance and improvements to Assetto Corsa Competizione we will be releasing small updates on a regular basis during the esports season which might not go through the usual announcement process detailing the changes until a later version update where these changes will be listed retrospectively.
  3. If ACC doesn't start with an error or the executable is missing, please add your entire Steam directory to the exceptions in your antivirus software, run a Steam integrity check or reinstall the game altogether. Make sure you add the User/Documents/Assetto Corsa Competizione folder to your antivirus/Defender exceptions and exclude it from any file sharing app (GDrive, OneDrive or Dropbox)! The Corsair iCue software is also known to conflict with Input Device initialization, if the game does not start up and you have such devices, please try disabling the iCue software and try again. [file:unknown] [line: 95] secure crt: invalid error is a sign of antivirus interference, while [Pak chunk signing mismatch on chunk] indicates a corrupted installation that requires game file verification.
  4. When reporting an issue with saved games, please always zip and attach your entire User/Documents/Assetto Corsa Competizione/Savegame folder, along with the logs and the crash folder (when reporting related to a crash).

This looks promising in latest update.

-Significantly improved CPU load with opponent count with certain (most) types of CPU. This is not necessarily affecting FPS, but dramatically increases the number of cars we can run before the 99% CPU occupancy warning.

Yep, you'll definitely notice improvements in that regard.

Tomorrow, the 2 servers will be enabled for 82 drivers and I want to hit those limits so please let everyone know its going to be a good one!

Just a quick heads up for everyone, tonight's race won't have compulsory pit stops enabled, so make sure you have your fuel for the 60 minutes at the start!

    Hi,
Just to let you know, that I receive server full message for server#1 while server list only shows 56 of the 82 drivers...

Once we finally got a clean start that was good fun :)

Had only qualified 51 for the first start with a mid 2:20 lap so to bring it home P20 was a testament to how far consistency can get you. I saw a lot of drive throughs flashing up for people who had exceeded track limits, I'm guessing au rouge/radilon as I saw a lot of people going outside the kerbs there. The early laps I took it easy and just let people who were looking impatient past and backed out of any three wides etc. Once I had some clear track I started lapping consistently in the 2:22's where I stayed for most of last 40 minutes or so. Started with 118 litres in the 911.1 and finished with 4 litres so had enough should the race have gone one more than the 26 we completed.

Congrats to all those who survived and thanks to MrGit for hosting. I saved the reply but not watched it yet - it should look epic.

Technical note: Ran in VR and didn't experience any issues. At my mix of mostly high settings, 120 super sampling, 32 cars visible I was holding a steady 45FPS which is OK thanks to the wizzadary of the Oculus reprojection methods. No issues with cars warping either, everyone I saw out there was smooth which made it possible to race cleanly side by side. I picked up 6 points on my safety rating.

Was good racing. Only for information-->Could manage to receive approx. 44-50 fps during the race with my old 2500k. It was driveable but all night long I wouldn't do that ;). See my system spec in the sig. Playing at 1080p.

    I just love that event
This week jumped in with 5 minutes left I just managed to fit into the gap when sb left,
Done one flying lap for 3rd row
    And still I have started 78th hahahahah:D
Unfortunately punted in the rear mid pack after some amazing racing and had to retire the car
But then it was just a pleasure to watch Jarko gunning for the P1,
Maybe next week I ll actually finish the thing Xd,
awesome job everyone, those big grid races teach everyone respect for others, the atmosphere is just so different than in other races, battles on the track everywhere and all clean, we will just have to learn how to do formation laps :p
Acc shines with 82 car grid, imagine now longer races with driver swaps, that is gonna be awesome

The race definitely was something and the starting grid was an amazing sight.
From the technical point of view, I run ACC in 1440p with mainly medium settings. FPS were at 40-55, yet mainly in the mid-40s.

Turned visible opponents to 20, Shadows low/low, Foliage low, and then high for most settings with some peppered in at med
    70 FPS @ 1440p dipping to 55-60

I'd like to have more refinement, for me shadows although really taxing, it fuks me up when I cant see shadows under the car and with low/low they appear as you pull up beside an opponent.

But like whatever man, 82 fuking grid slots, are you kidding me.....

Ok, survey time! Usual BigGrid day is Xmas next week so i,m going to bring the event day forward, please select your favoured option and also your preferred race length.
Plus, in the future i'm going to have the 2 servers split by SA so can you also select that as it'll show be the SA levels i'll need to have.

Do you think that with my hardware i can run it?

  18. Jack Bancroft

    Maybe.

We have the same cpu and similar gpu.

My i5 4690k was indeed hopeless when I tried a previous big grid race.

Minolin states an improvment, I think using 60 cars, on the i5 3470 which to my understanding is a lesser cpu then ours.

Sounds promising for us but I'm still not expecting to run 82 cars.

somebody said something about "i5 2500" in between - while 82 cars were on the track. That CPU is 8 years old, and your i5 4690k should be significantly better, even though it's only a quadcore.
so with the corresponding video settings (970 is not exactly the rocket), I'd expect you to do 82.

I could make it work for ~55 cars before the update on my 4690. But needed to reduce some settings, especially rendered cars to 10 helped and also lower fps cap can help to avoid the cpu warning.
