1. Do you need support for Assetto Corsa Competizione? Please use the proper forum below and ALWAYS zip and attach the WHOLE "Logs" folder in your c:\users\*youruser*\AppData\Local\AC2\Saved. The "AppData" folder is hidden by default, check "Hidden items" in your Windows view properties. If you report a crash, ALWAYS zip and attach the WHOLE "Crashes" folder in the same directory. Do not post "I have the same issue" in an existing thread with a game crash, always open your own thread. Do not PM developers and staff members for personal troubleshooting and support.
  2. As part of our continuous maintenance and improvements to Assetto Corsa Competizione we will be releasing small updates on a regular basis during the esports season which might not go through the usual announcement process detailing the changes until a later version update where these changes will be listed retrospectively.
  3. If ACC doesn't start with an error or the executable is missing, please add your entire Steam directory to the exceptions in your antivirus software, run a Steam integrity check or reinstall the game altogether. Make sure you add the User/Documents/Assetto Corsa Competizione folder to your antivirus/Defender exceptions and exclude it from any file sharing app (GDrive, OneDrive or Dropbox)! The Corsair iCue software is also known to conflict with Input Device initialization, if the game does not start up and you have such devices, please try disabling the iCue software and try again. [file:unknown] [line: 95] secure crt: invalid error is a sign of antivirus interference, while [Pak chunk signing mismatch on chunk] indicates a corrupted installation that requires game file verification.
  4. When reporting an issue with saved games, please always zip and attach your entire User/Documents/Assetto Corsa Competizione/Savegame folder, along with the logs and the crash folder (when reporting related to a crash).

ACC on GeForce NOW!

Hello there, due to some logistical issues, I don't have access to my triple screen rig most of the time.
So yesterday I started playing ACC on GeForce NOW at my current place, and I must say, the experience is pretty good!
I am playing on a single 17" screen on a 9 year old laptop (GT 550M) at 1600x900, and so far the input lag is bearly noticeable. The overall experience is really enjoyable, maybe not all is bad with the Unreal Engine 4 (opened a can of worms I know!), compared to other games, even allegedly less demanding ones, the frame rate is really smooth it seems, although I can't get to show what the actual frame rate is unfortunately. It definitely is near 60, but can't be sure.
If anybody else has tried, what was your experience like?

I'll believe you are playing a PC game on a Mac when i see it!

    It’s not a Mac it’s a Dell XPS l702x from 2011

There are many ways to see your fps. Most simple one would be to enable it in steam settings.

In GeForce NOW I don’t have access to the steam settings. But in AC I was getting 500 FPS. I think they run the game with a top of the range card, and at the ‘balanced’ quality level I’m playing at I’m vsync’ed to 60 FPS anyway and the game is running super smooth at epic settings.

Sounds interesting, the fact that you can run ACC on such an old laptop. I’m tempted to request beta access just to try it out.

GeForce Now is cloud gaming service - GeForce Now runs on the laptop, not the ACC. ACC runs on Nvidia servers.

Yes I understand that, I didn’t think ACC suddenly just run on an old laptop :).

That’s correct. I’ll post my connection/ping times for reference later

when I first started the game it started a new profile for me so I had no TR lol!
I’m building up that profile slowly. It remembers it between sessions luckily.

It’s an old laptop but has an i7 on it so I would imagine the GEForce Now app can handle compression and lag quite well.

That’s not so good, shame it can’t pickup your existing profile somehow. It’ll be interesting to see how these cloud services progress, I’d be quite happy not to have to invest in a beefy PC but lag etc. is the general issue.

Yeah. And I haven’t tried multiplayer yet for obvious reasons. Will get my SA up to a point I can join a couple of races oblige

  14. it's impossible! I have a dell gaming laptop from 2016 and I go near 60 fps with all settings to the minimum.
you play in single player alone?

Would be nice to see slow motion video to see how much input lag there is.

As soon as I have a chance to I will.
Reason I have to use it is that I’m not always at the place I have my simrig so I am now sourcing a cheap wheel to take with me. I’ll probably be able to connect my current rig to my laptop tonight but can’t promise that.

It’s Cloud software, so everything is hosted/installed (i.e. ACC) on NVIDIA servers, your laptop basically becomes a dumb terminal. This is why lag/latency is an issue because each of your inputs needs to go through an extra step between your PC and the NVIDIA servers. If you have very high speed broadband/internet you’ll have a much better experience than someone on slow broadband.
