1. Do you need support for Assetto Corsa Competizione? Please use the proper forum below and ALWAYS zip and attach the WHOLE "Logs" folder in your c:\users\*youruser*\AppData\Local\AC2\Saved. The "AppData" folder is hidden by default, check "Hidden items" in your Windows view properties. If you report a crash, ALWAYS zip and attach the WHOLE "Crashes" folder in the same directory. Do not post "I have the same issue" in an existing thread with a game crash, always open your own thread. Do not PM developers and staff members for personal troubleshooting and support.
  2. As part of our continuous maintenance and improvements to Assetto Corsa Competizione we will be releasing small updates on a regular basis during the esports season which might not go through the usual announcement process detailing the changes until a later version update where these changes will be listed retrospectively.
  3. If ACC doesn't start with an error or the executable is missing, please add your entire Steam directory to the exceptions in your antivirus software, run a Steam integrity check or reinstall the game altogether. Make sure you add the User/Documents/Assetto Corsa Competizione folder to your antivirus/Defender exceptions and exclude it from any file sharing app (GDrive, OneDrive or Dropbox)! The Corsair iCue software is also known to conflict with Input Device initialization, if the game does not start up and you have such devices, please try disabling the iCue software and try again. [file:unknown] [line: 95] secure crt: invalid error is a sign of antivirus interference, while [Pak chunk signing mismatch on chunk] indicates a corrupted installation that requires game file verification.
  4. When reporting an issue with saved games, please always zip and attach your entire User/Documents/Assetto Corsa Competizione/Savegame folder, along with the logs and the crash folder (when reporting related to a crash).

Welcome to W.H.C. 161: The Orange Box

"So here I stand once more, in the playground of the broken hearts"

I must admit I didn't think I'd ever be doing this again. Some say never look back, always move on. Others may argue to never say never again.

Enough about the ladies though, on with the Weekly.

    Hotlap Challenge :
McLaren 650S GT3 at Spa Francorchamps

At the end of November GTSport surprised me with a gift car. Unable to make my mind up for which car to choose for this challenge I decided to go with it.

Most folks tend to enjoy Spa. This car is easy to get around here but as ever the talented will always be faster. I like to do a long run with it; an hour or so against the AI. They leave me for dead at the start but as I get into a rhythm I can reel them in lap by lap and get back into the mix. The total opposite of hotlapping I know but that is the only way I ever improve.

RSR leaderboard times start at 2m14.

I doubt the new game will ever come to ps4 or xb1 so this is as close to Console Competizione that we're likely to get.

Please remember that #160 with the BMW at Mugello is still open until 6pm UK Sunday evening. (Dec 12) I'm a bit early posting this but I'm off out for a bit.

    ---------------------------------------------------
How to take part - Hot lap
To enter, select Hotlap, choose the McLaren 650s GT3 and the Spa-Francorchamps circuit.
Please setup the session as shown below:

    Mode: Hotlap
    Ambient Temp: 26 Degrees
Setup: Time of day: Free / Controller: Free / Assists: Factory / Stability: Free
To qualify you must have the ambient temp set to 26 DegC.

    Deadline: Sunday 19th January 2020 - by 18:00 GMT.
Chequered Flag will drop shortly before 6pm.

You can run as many laps as you like and update your times as often as you like. It is all about taking part, pushing yourself and enjoying Assetto Corsa. All Platforms are welcome.
To submit a time, pause the game and select 'session' from the menu and screenshot this page or take a photo of your screen and post it in this thread - Note all the information from the screen is required including temperature, mode heading and of course the car being used!

Please use the following format to post your times:
Improvement (Only required if you have already posted a time)
Your name (as you would like it to appear on the leaderboard)
Your time - shown as x.xx.xxx.
    Your platform (PC Xb1 PS4)
The screen shot showing your time.
(Optional but in the spirit) Your thoughts and comment
Please post video clips and share information in here as well, but without the correct format or session screen your time will not be included (placing the session screen in a video clip is acceptable).

First few laps, on soft tyres, 26psi all round.
Great fun combi! Relief in fact... my left knee has a bit of RSI from the clutch pedal action, so right foot only is perfect.

Had another one-legged go at this enjoyable combi.
Can anyone with the PC app see, or even better, publish the torque and power curve for the McLaren 650SGT3, please?
Sometimes the (ridiculous regulation) engine restrictors mean shorter shifting is better. Feels like a flat one to me.

Am I the only playing in the playground of broken hearts?
Not for the first time then, welcome to the story of my life!:D:p:cool:

If you meant torque, you'd be right, but the power curve (if the graph is correct!) is very much a "drag it right to the limiter" kind of curve I reckon ;)

I did mean to have another go at the BMW on Sunday but in the end there was racing to be done :)

Well as you know GT3 is not my favourite, and McLarens are near the bottom of the list for me too. But SPA.. now we are talking!
Took the setup advice as prescribed by Dr Zeuss, nice setup, felt good and fast too, great find!
2 laps in, 2.18.8, restarted and corrected PSI then hit this one first go. Screenshotted and another restart and was about 0.2 up but lost it entering the final chicane so ALT F4 was deployed. McLarens...****.... :D
