1. Do you need support for Assetto Corsa Competizione? Please use the proper forum below and ALWAYS zip and attach the WHOLE "Logs" folder in your c:\users\*youruser*\AppData\Local\AC2\Saved. The "AppData" folder is hidden by default, check "Hidden items" in your Windows view properties. If you report a crash, ALWAYS zip and attach the WHOLE "Crashes" folder in the same directory. Do not post "I have the same issue" in an existing thread with a game crash, always open your own thread. Do not PM developers and staff members for personal troubleshooting and support.
  2. As part of our continuous maintenance and improvements to Assetto Corsa Competizione we will be releasing small updates on a regular basis during the esports season which might not go through the usual announcement process detailing the changes until a later version update where these changes will be listed retrospectively.
  3. If ACC doesn't start with an error or the executable is missing, please add your entire Steam directory to the exceptions in your antivirus software, run a Steam integrity check or reinstall the game altogether. Make sure you add the User/Documents/Assetto Corsa Competizione folder to your antivirus/Defender exceptions and exclude it from any file sharing app (GDrive, OneDrive or Dropbox)! The Corsair iCue software is also known to conflict with Input Device initialization, if the game does not start up and you have such devices, please try disabling the iCue software and try again. [file:unknown] [line: 95] secure crt: invalid error is a sign of antivirus interference, while [Pak chunk signing mismatch on chunk] indicates a corrupted installation that requires game file verification.
  4. When reporting an issue with saved games, please always zip and attach your entire User/Documents/Assetto Corsa Competizione/Savegame folder, along with the logs and the crash folder (when reporting related to a crash).

Myself & TW did a bit of an online session earlier. I did 51 laps and was happy with an 18.2.

That can't count here though so I had a quick go in hotlap. I'm a bit weary now though so 18.5 will suffice.

I started off the evening in 22s. Never changed the set up, just managed to chip away at the time.

Thanks to @moodyryder for the practise session! It's paid off for me. Into the 2.18s, with plenty of room for improvement.
The car feels quite different online... although track temp was 63 degrees!

Is track temperature important in AC?

Forvive my ignorance, I just don't know.

I did my best lap in the online session towards the end when it must have been at it's hottest. My offline time was at 37 degrees and it didn't feel much different; I just put it down to me being tired.

That took a lot of laps for me to get under 2.20s. I hit my limit, this is probably the best I can do!!!:)

And so we are 12. Thank you to everybody for taking the time to play.

Pretend Racer & LeiF still hold the front row despite GT3 not being their favourite.

The F14 still has to fly though. We'll see what the US Air Force can do.

I'll enjoy 3rd place whilst I can. I'll be going backwards like an Italian tank.

I shouldn't really say that on here. Nobody from Kunos comes to the console lounge though, so it should be ok. :)

  9. Surely it affects tyre temp and grip. I found last night that the softs were getting much hotter than usual, earlier. It also felt like I had nowhere near the grip.

    An experiment anyone?:)

Brilliant lap time @moodyryder , well grafted!

after watching the beginning of aris video stream yesterday bout dampers tried to use some of the thing i heard (understood? o_O)
now car is better to control for me, little more snappy but fits my driving style more.
more camber, less height, stiffer dampers - emmm - more bump, here starts my way of not understanding everything correctly ..... - (car is acting more than a rabbit *jump*jump* but more precise) and less arb on the front.
slowly i begin to understand the setup.;)

The Canadian Air Force could lend you an F18. If you ask nicely they may lend you both! At least they don't fly backwards.

I have been very short on time this week and haven't been able to dedicate the required time to submit a half decent showing. But I have been keeping track from work, great fun it seems. Very disappointed I'm not able to participate as fully as required to get a half decent time. Hope next week will be different, boss dependent.:( Anyway, Rock on WHC!

Just as I promised, a gain of one second.
This one really had me frustrated and forced me to changed my driving style a few times to compensate.

F1415182235 and 365gt posting some good numbers.

It wouldn't have been right if I'd got on the podiun. I'd have had to retire here and now.! I guess I'll just have to keep on keeping on. :)

Sissydriver, Alexis_RS_MkII and Laughing Gravy improving too. Everybody under 2:21. That's not bad going. Alien AI on ps4 are usually in 2:21s in a race.

Winding down now. The Yellowbird is waiting on #162 but there's still time for a late outbraking manoeuvre here if you want.

    Grr, stupid bloody McLarens :D

Took me 2 laps to become acclimatised to the car, then a restart, then 3 laps to get this. Even with the Yellowbird beckoning, I thought I'd better have a go this afternoon after missing out on a second go at the BMW last week and also knowing I only did so few laps that there must be more time in there even for such a twitchy little thing as this.

  19. I've rolled it in glitter....
    Sparkles, but no shiny joy!:)

There's five tenths or so, scattered around, so maybe more.

I've done loads of laps and thoroughly enjoyed this great combi @moodyryder , thanks!

Another 30mins of grip and traction, then the ice skates comes out.
