1. Do you need support for Assetto Corsa Competizione? Please use the proper forum below and ALWAYS zip and attach the WHOLE "Logs" folder in your c:\users\*youruser*\AppData\Local\AC2\Saved. The "AppData" folder is hidden by default, check "Hidden items" in your Windows view properties. If you report a crash, ALWAYS zip and attach the WHOLE "Crashes" folder in the same directory. Do not post "I have the same issue" in an existing thread with a game crash, always open your own thread. Do not PM developers and staff members for personal troubleshooting and support.
  2. As part of our continuous maintenance and improvements to Assetto Corsa Competizione we will be releasing small updates on a regular basis during the esports season which might not go through the usual announcement process detailing the changes until a later version update where these changes will be listed retrospectively.
  3. If ACC doesn't start with an error or the executable is missing, please add your entire Steam directory to the exceptions in your antivirus software, run a Steam integrity check or reinstall the game altogether. Make sure you add the User/Documents/Assetto Corsa Competizione folder to your antivirus/Defender exceptions and exclude it from any file sharing app (GDrive, OneDrive or Dropbox)! The Corsair iCue software is also known to conflict with Input Device initialization, if the game does not start up and you have such devices, please try disabling the iCue software and try again. [file:unknown] [line: 95] secure crt: invalid error is a sign of antivirus interference, while [Pak chunk signing mismatch on chunk] indicates a corrupted installation that requires game file verification.
  4. When reporting an issue with saved games, please always zip and attach your entire User/Documents/Assetto Corsa Competizione/Savegame folder, along with the logs and the crash folder (when reporting related to a crash).

My apologies for the late posting!

After last weeks spin fest I think we all would enjoy some aero grip! This is the last of the gt3 cars so enjoy. Well be hot lapping at Nurburgring GP circuit. It's one of my fav's and I think its a little under rated.
Lots of setup options so should be fun.

The current WR on RSR is 1.55.683. There's about 350 people who have turned laps on this combo.

Ideal tire pressures are 26 psi for all tire types.

****WHC #175 is still running until tomorrow, 4/19/2020 until 18:00 GMT (I believe?)****

    How to take part:
To enter, select Hotlap, choose Lamborghini Huracan GT3
Please setup the session as shown below:
    Mode: Hotlap
    Ambient Temp: 26 Degrees
Setup: Time of day: Free / Controller: Free / Assists: Free / Stability: Free
To qualify you must have the ambient temp set to 26 DegC.

Deadline: Sunday 2nd of May 2020
Chequered Flag will drop shortly before 6pm.

You can run as many laps as you like and update your times as often as you like. It is all about taking part, pushing yourself and enjoying Assetto Corsa. All Platforms are welcome. To submit a time, pause the game and select 'session' from the menu and screenshot this page or take a photo of your screen and post it in this thread - Note all the information from the screen is required including temperature, mode heading and of course the car being used!

Please use the following format to post your times:
Improvement (Required if you have already posted a time)

Ok, I will make the start. First of all, some of you might know through my channel etc. that I never drive GT3 cars. Somehow it is just not my thing. I like to play with the cars, throw them into the corners. That is why I prefer street cars or slower racing cars. So, I think the last time I have driven a GT3 car in AC was 1 or 2 years ago and I probably spent max 10h with GT3 cars in total.
But I thought, hey, let's try this one. Record holder was Ricardo Macieski, one of the fast guys with GT3 cars. I drove the first lap, 1:59 something. Wow I am slow. Not exactly sure where to start with setup, I just took one random setup for the Lambo I found on the net. Yeah, that is better... Adjust a bit here and there. I was down to 1:58 and 1:57 quickly. Just like with the Maserati 250F I had to learn to control the car, see where I could push it and what the car is capable of. So I went down to 1:56 something. Mh...Could I really beat the current RSR record? Ah let's try and get over my reluctance with GT3 cars. Each lap I felt more confident. After 45 minutes I was 1 tenth shy of the RSR record time. I was not able to get a clean lap to get it done, but I know it was possible. Another 15 minutes spent - 1:55:637. New RSR record. Hey, I have actually done it. It was a steep learning curve and something really new for me - as said before, I never drive GT3. This was surely a challenge for me - but I feel relieved.
Back to this challenge, I set the temperatures and went back out again. The soft tyres do have more grip with the warmer weather, but the last sector is really tricky as you will fight tyre wear and overheating rear tyres. After the first two sectors I was 1-2 tenths shy of my time set on 10°. The last sector was not perfect, but I managed a 1:56:295. A 1:56:1xx should be possible, but I stopped here.

Stock settings including tyre pressures, but with a shorter transmission.
These cars are all about set-up. Stock turns in like a boat, then gets quite edgy and likes to take you for a spin.

Congrats to @GoodGame.eXistenZ - that lap time is mighty!

First time at this track, first time in this car. I'm not much of a GT3 kinda guy, and it's really showing!!! I really didn't like how this was handling, so did a solid 10 laps of tuning, and only got a 2:05! I'm still learning the lines through a couple corners, so we'll see how far I can progress. Need to quit turning in early, a problem with my real driving too lol, and need to find some markers for when I can start getting back on the throttle through the long corners.

From stock setup - managed to get it better all round - but still a long way off the top !

    - especially for the GT cars which are normally easier for me to drive. A 1:58:xxx is the aim - and still most of the week to get it :)

Setup at the end of the vid which should be up in a few hours.

I started off with steve smiths tune downloaded from the setup market, but it was designed for a race and had mediums on it. I tried putting softs on but I couldn't handle it.
Then I tried 71423967462 tune from the setup market and it felt much better. I think I only things I tweaked were the tire psi and I shortened 6th gear. After quite a few laps I was able to get my time down to a top 5 on the rsr boards which is a hell of an achievement for me! I might be able to squeak out a tenth or three but finding another 2 seconds would be next to impossible I think for me. Well done Goodgame that's a cracking time!

@Totall Wrytoff Yes, setup is everything. You can put your soul into one lap and you know this is a good lap - yeah, turns out you are still missing 2 seconds, because the setup is bollocks.

@Pretend racer Thx. I see you are taking the last chicane very carefully. You can "cut it" and drive through it in almost a straight line. This will surerly give you 3 tenths! See my video to know what I mean. Otherwise nice lap with potential ;)

@F1415182235 Yeah, I went full soft on the springs and very moderate on the ARB (I think 3 front and 1 back), this makes it a lot less snappy. In combination I went for ride height 30 front/back, so you can simply drive over kerbs without bottoming out.

Big improvement thanks to @Pretend racer 's set-up which transforms the car. Probably faster by about 2 secs a lap over stock.
A quieter lunch today and a bit more of my soul... gained another 5/10s!:)

I just wish the GT3 cars could run unrestricted engines. It is meant to be a racing car.
How about tuned engines even...? Just add weight.

Something OT: In the meantime, I tried Raceroom for the first time in my life because they are currently running qualifier for the DTM Classic Event on the Nurburgring Sprint track with classis DTM class. First of all I do not like Raceroom. It feels so arcadish compared to AC! But after 47 min of racing I already reached P73 of 2750 drivers. Still 1.3 secs behind P1, but out of top 100 5 random racers will be picked and are allowed to participate in the offcial Esport event. I am pretty happy with it so far, as all the other guys spent days driving this sim. So fingers crossed :D
Still, the FFB and all just feels so off, graphics are outdated and I can barely tell where I am pushing too hard. AC all the way baby :)

@GoodGame.eXistenZ steps out of his comfort zone by jumping into a GT3 car and yet comfortably manages to claim the WR.
@F1415182235 posted a stellar time with minimal setup changes.
@Totall Wrytoff with a huge improvement by finding a setup that tames the bull enough to wrestle it around the track without as much drama.
@moodyryder if a pic is worth a 1000 words, a movie of a pic must be worth... a top 5 in the whc!
@William Nortje a strong showing with the stock setup.
