I find it hard to believe (definitely doesnt look like SP is a priority), apparently they wouldnt notice majority of people play ACC for MP. And if the highest priority is a pace car or yellow flag rules or whatever, I dont think they are in the right business
New to multiplayer? So if I start manufacturing cars and Im new, it suddenly means I will start from scratch, make wooden wheels and not learn from the other companies already doing the same? And of course will be excused from all the issues going on.

Ah ok..this is the crucial information I was missing, this is what I call a helpful answer. MP is not a prio..hmm, too bad, but at least now I know. I also did not know they're new, I thought it is the same company that did AC, which I think does not lack in MP part.

Well Kunos trust rating has gone slightly up since NkP days. I think Minolin is the guy who looks after the MP and rating system, and he has been quite busy with moving houses, Covid and eSports events going throught the roof.
I think last time he joined KRT was for Suzuka 12H races, several weeks ago.

 

@Vi42per - MP is new for them. Compared to other companies they are newbies in MP.
@Unknownuser - I am not defending anybody, this is some information from the streams and i hoped that it was helpful.

 

I think, Aris mentioned, that he is also working on the console port. Thats a massive workload

Taking me as an example of the new whiner on the block here, I don't feel I am asking that much. For what I have paid, I received a decent value and if Kunos decides tomorrow not to do any extension of the game anymore, I don't actually feel ripped off at all. What I would nevertheless find fair is that at least the marketed features (see Steam description as a reference) are working as they should (and with some hiccups also did until recently). I, for one am not asking for SC, PC, FCY or Nordschleife (well, not until 1.5, that is, right), but just for being able to enjoy the current content in a reliable way. Call me an old school, but I bought this game in version 1.3.x or something, as I am not into early access and all that stuff where things are not polished yet, therefore I as a customer expect maybe not 100% finished, but functional product.

If by "phase" you mean all that buzz around ACC nowadays, caused partially by Corona, partially by SRO and so on that attracted new crowds into the game and as they realize, that the marketed promises are not delivered and eventually leave back to the existing "competizione" and only the hardcore fans remain, well, I find this grim but inevitable outcome sad, because the potential was there. What good or best one can take out of it I honestly dunno.

As Vi42er said if the sim doesn't meet their expectations or shows signs of moving to that then yeah they move on to others that will, this is already locked to one series with no mods allowed so it is not that appealing to start with as having mods is huge for the average person but what this sim does have is a great atmosphere in the car and good racing on the tracks and I have enjoyed my time slowly learning them. Right now I want to be able to run the Daytona Rolex 24H so I am looking at other sims for it so I can race LMP1 and 2 plus the GT cars, This is something they should be looking into as well, even if it was the endurance tracks.

 

I think youre really over dramatazing the current issues. Yeah it sometimes hard to get the server list but it usually only takes a few tries to get the server list. The servers are running and you can still play the game at 99% of the day. Ratings are still working, sometimes you just cant see the details in the stats list. The Game is not broken or not working. If they had a instant fix for the issue they would hotfix it. They're still a small team and dont have the manpower to fix issues in 24hours.
We're a small community of specialist players and not a mainstream community like Apex Legends.
Apex had server issues for weeks/months and they have 100xtimes more players, a lot more budget and manpower.
Its a complete illussion that other online Games have no issues and work 100% of the time.

 

And this is what you you have right now. There might be some occasional issues with servers and whatnot but the sim is perfectly functional and enjoyable. What piece of software doesn't have some occasional issues?

And that's what the game was advertised as and what people get. Official GT Challenge (formerly Blancpain) game, no mods. We're even getting GT4's soon, isnt' that great?
I for example would love to see Blancpain America tracks so I can only hope but anything beyond the SRO umbrella simply won't happen for this title, maybe the next one.

I guess this is what sissydriver meant. We've been hearing this stuff for over a year now. Why people don't realize this is a SRO game is beyond me.

 

I disagree. In the last week I (and lots of other people on Discords or ACC reddit) had server issues more than every other day. Yesterday evening I could not get connected for roughly 3 hours. In the last week I had like 10 sessions not recorded at all by the game due to servers.
And then there are bugs, such as:
1) broken CN chart - in the game since the start of the rating system, no fix yet
2) ratings/stats don't always load, even the game tells you to just try again until it magically loads - what the hell?
3) my best laguna seca lap was recorded as best suzuka lap, now my suzuka best lap time says 1:26 in stats screen
4) DLC tracks best laps don't get recorded in the best lap stat on track selection, always show --:--,--- instead of real lap time even after multiple sessions and several days
5) game loses FFB after alt tabbing often, requires restart
6) so many UI alignment errors, especially in Setup screen
7) saving a setup sometimes saves different settings than the ones selected currently
etc

I complain not because I hate the game but because I love it. The handling is fantastic and I am 100% happy with the tracks and cars in the game. I don't need any new features or content, maybe apart from a Session history screen as its absurd you need to use an external third party program for that. All I want is that the game functions properly as it is.
Bugs happen. I write software too. But bugs get fixed. There are numerous bugs which have quite long history and haven't been fixed yet. That's the stuff I complain about. That, and bad servers, which might also be excusable with the gradual increase of player count, but again, there is zero communication from Kunos on any of this.
I am glad I bought this game in a -40% discount because it really feels like a beta version to be fair. Feature complete but very rough around the edges. There is a diamond within to be chiseled though. I just hope the devs do that and don't spend their effort only on liveries and driver customization when there are bugs to fix, servers to stabilize etc.

Yes looking forward to the GT4's, please don't get the idea that I am in anyway knocking the sim, literally I smile when I get into the cockpit and start doing laps around Kyalami or Barcelona and slowly getting more comfortable with Laguna Seca.

I am very slow as I am on a controller due to stuff but that will be solved after we come out of the mess of a world I live in.

This is weird. They basically get a license for everything cars and tracks but SC is separate? Maybe SRO should thank Kunos/the simracers for all the good publicity latly by throwing in a license

 

I doubt that's how it works. They have the deal with SRO to use Blancpain/GT World branding but they still have to license every car and track seperately (which explains no cutom skins for Lexus or Marcos Hapiness about getting Suzuka into the game).
