1. Do you need support for Assetto Corsa Competizione? Please use the proper forum below and ALWAYS zip and attach the WHOLE "Logs" folder in your c:\users\*youruser*\AppData\Local\AC2\Saved. The "AppData" folder is hidden by default, check "Hidden items" in your Windows view properties. If you report a crash, ALWAYS zip and attach the WHOLE "Crashes" folder in the same directory. Do not post "I have the same issue" in an existing thread with a game crash, always open your own thread. Do not PM developers and staff members for personal troubleshooting and support.
  2. As part of our continuous maintenance and improvements to Assetto Corsa Competizione we will be releasing small updates on a regular basis during the esports season which might not go through the usual announcement process detailing the changes until a later version update where these changes will be listed retrospectively.
  3. If ACC doesn't start with an error or the executable is missing, please add your entire Steam directory to the exceptions in your antivirus software, run a Steam integrity check or reinstall the game altogether. Make sure you add the User/Documents/Assetto Corsa Competizione folder to your antivirus/Defender exceptions and exclude it from any file sharing app (GDrive, OneDrive or Dropbox)! The Corsair iCue software is also known to conflict with Input Device initialization, if the game does not start up and you have such devices, please try disabling the iCue software and try again. [file:unknown] [line: 95] secure crt: invalid error is a sign of antivirus interference, while [Pak chunk signing mismatch on chunk] indicates a corrupted installation that requires game file verification.
  4. When reporting an issue with saved games, please always zip and attach your entire User/Documents/Assetto Corsa Competizione/Savegame folder, along with the logs and the crash folder (when reporting related to a crash).

  1. Hotlapping on SPA, BMW, default aggressive setup

Constantly trying to improve without using custom setup. That is personal my best so far.

  5. Thanks :)
Couple of years ago I have raced in some amateur local championships with fwd track day car.
But these RWD GT3 cars are from another planet. It is so much different and difficult than what I have used to.

I cannot even break 2.20-2.21 with this car. It just feels so slow. Are you using the stock setup on it?

  7. I use the "aggressive" setup.

overall good driving. I love to see quick beemers, because of how rare they are. Just a couple things i noticed that would push you into the 17's:

use more trailbrake (especially in bruxelles)

roll on smoother on the throttle (especially in bruxelles)

shift a tad sooner. There's not much power/torque left after the gear widget starts blinking and you'll greatly increase your fuel economy at no cost. Same as overboost on ferrari.

A recent lap on racefuel/towards the end of a race with a (very) custom setup:

  9. Thanks for the advises.

For trailbraking I completely agree - I am trying to do it, but I am not good enough at this. Actually I have better sectors (especially s2 with 0.3 better) but cannot repeat them together in single lap.

Smoother throttle - also agreed and it's easier to achieve :)

I have experimented with shifting sooner, but every time I do it especially on the straights the delta starts to raise. I noticed on some turns 9,11,14 that you shift to 3rd gear like too soon, but may be it gives you a smoother exit, will try your technique.

I like your lap, the car seems so stable and watching your video I believe that you drive much smoother (also on the wheel and pedals) than me.

I will continue practicing, but will not go into custom setups endless movie :)

    Thanks again man.

  10. I’m keen to give the BMW a good go but so far found it feeling yuk. Can you give me a few pointers with setup beyond the base agro? No need for all your secrets, but maybe some of the things that helped the poor girl come to life a bit....

My base aggro setup does not produce a lap like this.
I also know spa pretty well, I don't see how the base setup in this car can get this laptime.

Dang that's great for the BMW! I just can't get even the stock aggressive setup to work THAT well for me (note: never driven it before) ... I've hit low 2:21's and that's it however I need more seat time, I'm going to give it another go tonight. As someone else mentioned it seems to be a rarity to see a quick BMW in an ACC lobby. I keep losing the rear in Eau Rouge/Raidillon when I try to push it. Even lifting (not fully to keep it balanced) I struggle and it seems my exit speed is too low compared to lets say the Ferrari which I'm used to. Anyways, more seat time needed as I said hah.

  16. I haven’t driven the BMW at Spa in a little bit but got to the 18’s and with the new tyre model would assume I could get close to or in to the 17’s and I’m no alien that’s for sure.
I’ll drop my setup in here when I get home.
FYI the Beemer is by far the fastest car I have exiting Eau Rouge, so it’s in the setup and line choice... I’m yet to reach the 275kph I have seen a few get to at the end of the straight tho :0

  17. Here you go @Big Pokey, Tyre pressures will need looking at due to 1.6.x physics update

  18. Two months ago at spa I went down to 2:17.16 with a custom setup and could not go any lower. Since then I started to drive monza.
Have only tried spa only once week ago in online racing and I was much much slower than before.
