Ordinarily I’d agree with you but not at the moment.

 

I would like to put in a request to separate the engine lights and the fuel widget from the gear/speed widget. Currently if you turn off the gear/speed widget you also turn off the fuel and the engine light widget even though they're separate things.
(Yes, I know you can see how much fuel you have left in the tank in the MFD menu.)

But still allows the TC/ABS/Throttle/Brake and engine mapping visable..

 

Better still make all widgets individually adjustable. Be great to place them exactly where you want.

 

Anyone else thinks TC, map and ABS are too small?

True. Electronics, Tyres, Engine, Speedo & Inputs to be in 5 separate widgets would be ace..

True. It's been brought up many times to the developers. They must have their reasons why they don't want to go down this path. I wonder what it is.. Development aside; could it be they don't want ugly HUD configurations on all these live stream..? I've come to live with it however there are some issues with the chat box especially if you move the margins + the virtual mirror size is too big + it would be nice to have a additional HUD page to scroll to which is blank with the MFD only or have have a option to enable the MFD on the current blank HUD page.. Yeah you can turn off all the other widgets prior to race start however that is not a good option..

 

As far as I can remember it wasn't possible/too difficult with the UE engine.

It's probably something they want to implement sooner or later but it's not top priority at the moment (which is understandable).

 

We are all guessing.. my hunch is, it is not the way they want the HUD to work..

Once you get used to not having any widgets it's actually quite nice, you only really need the leader board and CrewCheif everything else is available in the motor , (in VR anyway)

Edit: The servers seems to be back again.

 

This actually saved me, I was working then I decided to procrastinate by launching ACC. After I saw it was down, I got back to work, thanks servers. And now I'm writing here to lengthen my break.

 

It was one of the nicest features in AC1, of which the ACC lack of adjustability is a step backwards - I'm sure there must be a bigger reason than just not wanting to do it.
