1. Do you need support for Assetto Corsa Competizione? Please use the proper forum below and ALWAYS zip and attach the WHOLE "Logs" folder in your c:\users\*youruser*\AppData\Local\AC2\Saved. The "AppData" folder is hidden by default, check "Hidden items" in your Windows view properties. If you report a crash, ALWAYS zip and attach the WHOLE "Crashes" folder in the same directory. Do not post "I have the same issue" in an existing thread with a game crash, always open your own thread. Do not PM developers and staff members for personal troubleshooting and support.
  2. As part of our continuous maintenance and improvements to Assetto Corsa Competizione we will be releasing small updates on a regular basis during the esports season which might not go through the usual announcement process detailing the changes until a later version update where these changes will be listed retrospectively.
  3. If ACC doesn't start with an error or the executable is missing, please add your entire Steam directory to the exceptions in your antivirus software, run a Steam integrity check or reinstall the game altogether. Make sure you add the User/Documents/Assetto Corsa Competizione folder to your antivirus/Defender exceptions and exclude it from any file sharing app (GDrive, OneDrive or Dropbox)! The Corsair iCue software is also known to conflict with Input Device initialization, if the game does not start up and you have such devices, please try disabling the iCue software and try again. [file:unknown] [line: 95] secure crt: invalid error is a sign of antivirus interference, while [Pak chunk signing mismatch on chunk] indicates a corrupted installation that requires game file verification.
  4. When reporting an issue with saved games, please always zip and attach your entire User/Documents/Assetto Corsa Competizione/Savegame folder, along with the logs and the crash folder (when reporting related to a crash).

Screenshot at the end of the clip as always!

Starting tyre pressure too high, need to lower it....

I am struggling with this game in general, but this car is a difficult beast, really struggling to understand when the rear tyres have enough traction to plant the throttle, if it lets go I seem to have little to no chance of catching it :(

For ACC, it is needed to settle on a time of day and a preset weather condition me thinks.

My feelings, just to bung them out there, having played both games and this challenge in particular:
AC is more realistic - the in car feel, tyre feel, response and the graphics. (By graphics I mean they way it looks/works as you play)
ACC, as @Graveltrap says doesn't have the feel, especially when you are on the limit. By the time you've got the signals, the car has got away from from you. IMO, the tyres feel as if they are under-inflated on the track, although I'm at 27.5. You can take liberties in the car in ACC that I'm sure physics doesn't really allow...but ACC is good fun.
    What does everyone else think?:)

  3. Duly noted @Graveltrap
    Hot stints too.

I am going to drop a note to Kunos to request the following be included on the Timings screen page (Timetables), please chip in with any thoughts:
    ----------
    1. Show the ASSIST level selected for that session. eg: PRO/ CUSTOM / ROOKIE etc etc
    2. Show the REALISM level selected for that session. eg: PRO/ CUSTOM / ROOKIE etc etc
    3. Show the Time of Day/ time of the start of the session.
    4. The white out of green font (the numbers) in the panel showing the fastest lap is very difficult to see, (just me?:)) could we have a black font or darker panel for more contrast please?
    ---------

    Keen to hear your thoughts.:)

This is one of the most difficult cars to use, it doesn’t generate much, if any downforce and does not have TCS. It feels like I am always slightly out of control.

In AC though the cup is was one of my favourite cars, An enjoyable beastie to drive, in ACC not so much!

I think I might have to turn to the dark side and buy a PC  I really want to know how ACC feels at higher fps!

Pretty much the opposite! It may be to do with the fact that the PS4 is at 30FPS so maybe the FFB is not quite in synch with the visual queues and inputs(?). The FFB is definitely more subtle in ACC though, they have been clear all along in their approach to FFB not to add any "enhancements" but once you get used to it, all the information is there to tell when you are right on the limit, at least for me on PC with a DD anyway.

Yes agree with this....even if we have to take it on trust!

I am starting to think that is the case, the car has gone before any information arrives to tell me it’s going. My TV isn’t great for lag either but it hasn’t been a huge problem with other games.

@Graveltrap @Totall Wrytoff Are Auto Clutch and Auto Blip considered assists in ACC? In AC they're not (I think) and I don't have a clutch pedal.

The clutch is considered an assist by the game, but in reality it is only used to get the car off the line. I wouldn’t worry about it.

All the cars have auto blip as paddle shifters sequential racing transmissions, probably see it happening in my clip!

Just incase any console peeps didn’t know the in game DOR of each car.
It should get you 1:1 steering with these.

    Question for the PC users.
Does the PC version of ACC automatically do this for you?

Thanks Mike. Fingers crossed we get that in the future then.

  13. Haha! This has been discussed earlier.
PRO level Assist is meant to create an even playing field.

The cars don't have three pedals and you don't need a foot clutch for the game.
(Have you bought it already @F1415182235 ?:D)

If so, I posted the instructions for Manual start earlier in the thread.

But if people want to use automatic start, it doesn't affect lap time, so it is OK for now.:)

Of course, we've only had the game a few days!

I expect we'll think differently in a few months.

ps - did quick test with cooler track temps (once I found the menu for that) and significant gains - I dropped 6 tenths right away. Agree that standard weather should be set - easily done in game and is displayed on screenshot for validation.

  16. Compare the screenshot difference between @Biner on PC and mine several posts above.

The lovely crispness of image on PC, vs the very fuzzy console.

Which I thought would be obvious!:D
    Sorry.
Mental note to be less fuzzy and more clear.

Ahh. I was actually marvelling at the insane track surface detail on the console pic. If that's present on my PC version, then I guess I don't notice it. (Tbh, I have a lot of settings turned down fairly low, to keep the frame rate acceptable, lol.)

I have to say....hustling this 911 (or the RSR3.0) around Zandy is awesome fun! Still on medium tires...I can't make the softs work, no how! Go hard 1st lap...nada....warm them up one lap then give 'er....nada. Put the meds on...perfect grip. So easy to over brake on this track...must 'tap' brake to set front end and to slow down a bit, then let downshift do the rest as you carry on through the corners on the edge! Carry on! ;)
