1. Do you need support for Assetto Corsa Competizione? Please use the proper forum below and ALWAYS zip and attach the WHOLE "Logs" folder in your c:\users\*youruser*\AppData\Local\AC2\Saved. The "AppData" folder is hidden by default, check "Hidden items" in your Windows view properties. If you report a crash, ALWAYS zip and attach the WHOLE "Crashes" folder in the same directory. Do not post "I have the same issue" in an existing thread with a game crash, always open your own thread. Do not PM developers and staff members for personal troubleshooting and support.
  2. As part of our continuous maintenance and improvements to Assetto Corsa Competizione we will be releasing small updates on a regular basis during the esports season which might not go through the usual announcement process detailing the changes until a later version update where these changes will be listed retrospectively.
  3. If ACC doesn't start with an error or the executable is missing, please add your entire Steam directory to the exceptions in your antivirus software, run a Steam integrity check or reinstall the game altogether. Make sure you add the User/Documents/Assetto Corsa Competizione folder to your antivirus/Defender exceptions and exclude it from any file sharing app (GDrive, OneDrive or Dropbox)! The Corsair iCue software is also known to conflict with Input Device initialization, if the game does not start up and you have such devices, please try disabling the iCue software and try again. [file:unknown] [line: 95] secure crt: invalid error is a sign of antivirus interference, while [Pak chunk signing mismatch on chunk] indicates a corrupted installation that requires game file verification.
  4. When reporting an issue with saved games, please always zip and attach your entire User/Documents/Assetto Corsa Competizione/Savegame folder, along with the logs and the crash folder (when reporting related to a crash).

    Hi!
It would be great to get some more information about the BoP adjustments. There are some races with custom BoP on certain cars and the question is if these are still balanced in the end.

    Thanks,
    Gernot

    It's pretty straightforward really.
Cars that have been faster like Porsche, or Mercedes at Monza, Suzuka, Bathurst and so on, are now slower. That doesn't mean they are not very strong anymore, but their laptimes are much closer or identical to the other cars.
Some cars that were slower, like Jaguar at Spa, we've found the typo and are now competitive again.
Similar to GT4 cars. BMW gained some, Porsche Cayman lost some. KTM at Monza lost some
and so on, and so on... making the grid as compact as possible.

So can we please get a full list around that? I think this is very important especially for the competitive racers and teams out there investing a lot of time :)

Can you provide an overview of which adjustments happened?
    e.g. a table:
car | track | what changed

Any chance BMW GT3 at Barcelona has been adjusted? That car was an awful lot off pace around that track, way more than in real life.

Absolutely welcomed changes. A bit late IMO Because at least the GT3 stuff mentioned by Aris was quite obvious for a long time already, but hey, glad they are here!

Can't wait to see a tighter, and specially more diversified pack at least for a while, until people realize the new flavour of the month and flock into the 'new Porsche' or new 'AMG at Monza'.

No they don't. That document is a year old and only covers 3 tracks in the asia series. European track BoP for 2020 is not available. If you download one their "BoP bulletin" documents, it just tells you the information is in the teams section of their website, which you have to have a login to access.

and? It might not be public for everyone, but all teams within the championship have access to it and know how BoP looks. And that is what counts. Spectators don't need to know it, but participants do.

You said they publish the BoP for each track, they don't, and yes they should publish it for the viewers, because we like to see what they decide upon each car, before a race. Look to IMSA, they publish every change in the BoP to the average Joe in between race weekends, so saying they shouldn't publish it is rubbish.

  18. Just out of interest and with all due respect, why not? You and your team have done the research, testing and performed the changes, so you will have documented everything you have done and so you should be able to share those changes very easily. I appreciate you may not want to go into detail, but I think I speak for all competitive drivers when I say we do not expect you to do that and a basic information list like "Porsche GT3: Slower, BMW GT3: Faster..." would be more than enough for us. Other competitive games across many genres make sure to list any changes they make that effect the balance of their game in detail in their patch notes, and imo it would be good if the same was done for ACC.

TBH, although from a personnal perspective i would like to know the BoP, from a community perspective i think it's beneficial to not know the details.

This way, at least for a certain period, people will be trying different options and we will see a more mixed and interesting field, until, inevitibly they will find a new cookie cutter 'strongest' car.

If the BoP details were shared, people would have some of their homework done for them :).

NDA's prevent sharing of data. And keeping it secret will make races diversified in the beginning as said above by drukqs.

I think sharing the BoP would be great for transparency reasons, but totally understands why it is kept behind closed doors.
