1. Do you need support for Assetto Corsa Competizione? Please use the proper forum below and ALWAYS zip and attach the WHOLE "Logs" folder in your c:\users\*youruser*\AppData\Local\AC2\Saved. The "AppData" folder is hidden by default, check "Hidden items" in your Windows view properties. If you report a crash, ALWAYS zip and attach the WHOLE "Crashes" folder in the same directory. Do not post "I have the same issue" in an existing thread with a game crash, always open your own thread. Do not PM developers and staff members for personal troubleshooting and support.
  2. As part of our continuous maintenance and improvements to Assetto Corsa Competizione we will be releasing small updates on a regular basis during the esports season which might not go through the usual announcement process detailing the changes until a later version update where these changes will be listed retrospectively.
  3. If ACC doesn't start with an error or the executable is missing, please add your entire Steam directory to the exceptions in your antivirus software, run a Steam integrity check or reinstall the game altogether. Make sure you add the User/Documents/Assetto Corsa Competizione folder to your antivirus/Defender exceptions and exclude it from any file sharing app (GDrive, OneDrive or Dropbox)! The Corsair iCue software is also known to conflict with Input Device initialization, if the game does not start up and you have such devices, please try disabling the iCue software and try again. [file:unknown] [line: 95] secure crt: invalid error is a sign of antivirus interference, while [Pak chunk signing mismatch on chunk] indicates a corrupted installation that requires game file verification.
  4. When reporting an issue with saved games, please always zip and attach your entire User/Documents/Assetto Corsa Competizione/Savegame folder, along with the logs and the crash folder (when reporting related to a crash).

    Who is the troll?
No improvements at the server browser side, as always for the last 2 years.
It is not trolling to tell people that they cannot expect any improvements at this messy weighting system, or even expect real filters or sorting functions, it is just what has been delivered from Kunos for the last 2 years.

It rounds, you probably only have 59.8 or something and it rounded up to 60. Get a little bit more SA to tip it over 60 and you'll be able to get in.

  4. While the update 1.6.x is more than welcome with its improvements I've to agree here to the fullest:
    and here as well:
I never got the fact @Minolin sticks with this reinvention of the wheel even the outcome is square. Really hard to tell it otherwise then pure ignorance.
For me the whole multiplayer part is one of the weakest point of the game and is still in its early access state. With development going backwards in some areas.

While we're at the SA rating:
I never changed my use of the game (99,9 % public multiplayer) and also I didn't change my behaviour online.
While driving with the SA rating widget enabled I've noticed something strange.
While my normaly rating is about SA 99 700-800 Trust / BWP 20-30 I was not able to gain Trust anymore the last days. While the BWP's went slowly down the Trust goes down far more quickly to 540. So I ended up at 540 Trust / 7.5 BWP. At this point my SA rating went down to 98.
It's not about the number 98. It's about the strange way Trust is generated atm.

Another fact thats annoys me is the randomness how the BWP's are given. You can get for the same kind of accident 0 - 4 points. Without any noticeable pattern.

For example: The guy in front of crashed in the pit wall at the last turn of the Nürburgring, bounced back at the track. I slammed the brakes and there was just a slightly touch. No damage at my car. No notification about penalty SA rating wise. Result 3 BWP's.

I appreciate all the work Kunos do, but multiplayer part is indeed very bad - there are no global standings, nothing what we can pursuit outside CP which has its issues as well and honestly whole CP system is stuck in initial state.

And the community becoming very toxic and unhealthy thanks to the fact that there are no permanent ban options for servers or other way to report player.

Outside leagues, the multiplayer part really slowly losing its meaning if we can not pursuit something (eg. I would enjoy just racing, but since 1.6 there is less strong competition online and it is a bit boring to finish 1st with gap to second between 10 - 73 seconds). And it is also boring to see chat full of verbal attacks to others, revenges of others etc. etc.

I know that in programming things which might look at outside very simple are often most difficult things to code, but I would be very very grateful for some major multiplayer improvements if we want to maintain some playability also into future years.

OT: look at the nice intro video they put together for the GT World Challenge America Esports Championship live broadcast. I see more and more great broadcast quality all around.

All we need are a little more CP racing, 30 minutes GT4 and maybe even a Porsche Cup!
Maybe a ranking list where you can look up where who is? these are little things in my opinion!
And what would certainly take more time would be CP races with driver change where you can register as a team for a CP race!

    Is just my thought

Now that I've been *****ing about statistics and I'm obviously not alone with my opinion, I'd like to share some thoughts on the topic of statistics/multiplayer/CP etc:

ACC was "dead" not too long ago. Discussions have been held it makes no sense to publish the Intercontinental DLC. Nobody plays ACC. The end.
    Hmmm...
A lot has changed since then.
Corona has suddenly made SimRacing much more important. As far as I can see, 24-hour races with 50 starters and driver changes are now working really well.
There were more problems a few months ago.
It seems as if there have been massive improvements in this area and obviously a lot of work has been invested.

As we have learned by now, this whole server "thing" is a very complex thing. You can't even hire a specialist to help and conjure up a quick solution.

We still know - Kunos is a small team.

The fact that Kunos only announces what is certain to come is a decision that you may or may not like, but that is the way it is.

Could it be that all these unpredictable developments have simply led to the fact that we do not yet have features (statistics, CP server etc) that should have been there long ago but now have to wait?

These are my thoughts, no idea how right they are.
If I misjudge something - please correct me.

    TL;DR
Should we not continue to trust and be patient in Kunos? In the long run they have never actually disappointed us so far.

I never listend to all these things, to me ACC was never 'dead', i play it since the Beta 1 release regularly, at least every other day 1-2 online races.
Also i never stopped trusting in Kunos since i had my hands on Netkar Pro, then came AC, now we have ACC. These guys always delivered and therefore i have no reason to not trust in their work and in the fact that they will support a sim as long as its possible. Simracing development is a marathon, its not a sprint. They dont neeed to hurry up so they can release 2 years later the next game.

A fair few have written posts similar to this over the last 12 months or so.. Yeah we are all guessing as we really don't know d!ck..

I can't help but think that maybe it's time to just come out and tell us all how it is.. Set the record straight. I don't think absolute silence is helping anyone here. What is the big deal..?

The one and only problem is - lack of commnication. If Kunos will tell us "yes guys, we know that game need basic stuff like filtering, or movable HUD's elements and we are going to do it" then nobody will complain imo.
But they are totally silent, and beacuse of that - we feel that they ignore us, don't we?

This is clear that main aim for Kunos was physics, aero, car's feeling etc. Not GUI. This is clear, ok. And we love this game just beacuse this is the best sim ever. That's obvious.
But - as they have made best sim ever, delivered some new tracks and cars... now it's time to go back to basics... until they will give us another tracks and cars ^^

If you need info, follow pankykapus, Aris, in the forum. You will see they are not so silent.
That don't mean they will release what you think it's important, but what they think they should do. And they won't speak about what they are doing until it's done (like they always do).
    It is what it is.

A lot of people here were asking about a lot of things. Barely of them have found any answers. We were waiting few months for info about special events for instance. That kind of silence I meant.

Not only me dude, not only me.
Anyway even if you are 100% right - this is also something that devs could say - we will do what we want to do, so stop asking and talking about GUI / Multiplayer improvements etc. Is it that much?

Game has no setup explanations inside - forum member did it in his own, for us.
Multiplayer has no filtering by pings, participans + matchmaking options don't work.
There is no fuel calculator in game, users did it in their own.
Even CP calendar is not implementet inside the game, even no on offical ACC site - guys from Mythiq did it in their own, for us.
A lot of stuff which could be placed in-game we have here on board, written by Aris. If you just bought a game, and never visited board - you will never know what ECU Maps means or brake pads for instance.

This list can be much wider and longer. A lot of people indicate that game needs A LOT of basic work, while driving physic is very very good, way ahead of any other game.
    And what answer we got?

I wonder if someone of Devs or other members are likely with game named Path of Exile. Lets check how perfect connection between devs and users could be - they are sharing with users with everything, asking about opinions etc.

Ok, guys so first of all, this post is Full of good Vives and I don't want anyone to misunderstand me. I came here with the will to know and learn. I love ACC +600 hours into the sim, day 1 early access buyer and it's actually the only sim I'm racing in for 11 months now.
So I love the last update additions, I love that the sim pushes further into realism in their mechanical and physics part, we all love the new content. BUT, it would be great that, if you are going to do some major changes to the physics you could be giving more detailed information about it before the release and what to really expect in terms of car behaviour, driving style and how the changes influence the mechanical and setup part.
Let me explain. I'm racing in a league in a community. I chose the BMW for the autumn round. I consider myself an average racer, I am not on the top of the grid, usually on the middle or a bit higher not an alien, not a noob. I have learned a bit of physics and setup and do far more than a hundred laps for every race (we race once every week or two weeks in the league plus some endurance events). So since the last update, BMW is like another completely different car. We are still racing with 2019 season rules because the league was already on the go and considered that it would have no sense to change it to 2019 right now. The car is just unpredictable all over the place, the inherent struggle of this car chassis with hard changes of direction (like chicanes) is now just crazy, the gas out of the corners wants to kill you every time, graining is permanent in all the four tires. Which leads me to the next topic.
How the hell do you manage tires now? I genuinely don't understand how can I put them in temperature on the first two laps and how do you keep that.
On the other hand. I have a CSL elite F1 set and since the last update, I have lost LOTS of information and feeling on the FFB. I have raised the gain just a bit and I had to put road effects to 10% (before was 0 and was good that way) to mitigate a bit the effect but the information I get through the wheel is nothing compare with the one I got before the 1.6.
So please, can someone help me truly understand the new changes and how they translate to the physics, driving, and setup part? Because it is so frustrating to go training to discover that the pace is not there anymore and no matter how hard you try, how many changes you do with the setup taking into account the things that you already knew...It is so weird, the pace is not there, the feeling is not there, I can no longer understand the car, and apparently, everything I knew about setup (not much but something) is just worthless. I and my teammate have gone from being in the upper half of the grid to be in the lower bottom and we are not able to understand how to understand all the problems that have suddenly appeared since those changes of the 1.6.
    Thanks in advance to anyone.

Cool list. But how about all the other stuff they have added, changed or fixed? In a world where those exact things had been updated, you'd be making a different list about some other things you want fixed.

Sorry guys, the things that are being regularly talked about here are Minolin's domain. He used to be very active on this forum and now there is virtually nothing.. That's ok no problem we don't need ongoing running commentary however look at how many long term bugs/issues have been raised and there is with absolutely no indication a year later that they maybe will be fixed at some point. We were told by Aris to be patient through the console port which is understandable. I get he is swamped and under a lot of pressure. I do feel for the bloke however that's life and that is the profession he chose. Like I said, a little statement would go a long way here.. It would be nice to hear about what he has in mind or what he thinks is achievable etc..
