1. Do you need support for Assetto Corsa Competizione? Please use the proper forum below and ALWAYS zip and attach the WHOLE "Logs" folder in your c:\users\*youruser*\AppData\Local\AC2\Saved. The "AppData" folder is hidden by default, check "Hidden items" in your Windows view properties. If you report a crash, ALWAYS zip and attach the WHOLE "Crashes" folder in the same directory. Do not post "I have the same issue" in an existing thread with a game crash, always open your own thread. Do not PM developers and staff members for personal troubleshooting and support.
  2. As part of our continuous maintenance and improvements to Assetto Corsa Competizione we will be releasing small updates on a regular basis during the esports season which might not go through the usual announcement process detailing the changes until a later version update where these changes will be listed retrospectively.
  3. If ACC doesn't start with an error or the executable is missing, please add your entire Steam directory to the exceptions in your antivirus software, run a Steam integrity check or reinstall the game altogether. Make sure you add the User/Documents/Assetto Corsa Competizione folder to your antivirus/Defender exceptions and exclude it from any file sharing app (GDrive, OneDrive or Dropbox)! The Corsair iCue software is also known to conflict with Input Device initialization, if the game does not start up and you have such devices, please try disabling the iCue software and try again. [file:unknown] [line: 95] secure crt: invalid error is a sign of antivirus interference, while [Pak chunk signing mismatch on chunk] indicates a corrupted installation that requires game file verification.
  4. When reporting an issue with saved games, please always zip and attach your entire User/Documents/Assetto Corsa Competizione/Savegame folder, along with the logs and the crash folder (when reporting related to a crash).

Why is my ACC looking so ugly on my 49" monitor?

Why is my ACC looking so ugly on my 49" monitor?

When I look at some ACC screenshots, ACC looks ok, not good but ok.
ACC drives great, but for me it looks terrible. Alle my other Racing games look really good.

I maxed out nearly every gfx option, but still ugly as hell. Mybe AA isn´t best in ACC, but such a bad render? My hardware is quite good, RTX2080ti @5120x1440. I tried to use supersampling, but I cannot get much higher than 115% without loosing to much fps.

Can anybody tell me what to set in order to get a nicer landscape? Cars interieur looks good I think.

    Here are some screens..

PS: The last pic you have to save and look check it by 100% zooming

And that is what some people say, its the best or one of the best good looking graphics.

It's so hard to see stuff. u can't really understand what u are seeing. and don't even need to zoom in.

And removing the photorealistic sh*t looks, its kinda of impossible.

Try use the temporal AA, and i have my sharpeness to 10%.

My graphic options are different from yours, but u can always change back to yours if u don't like those changes.

for me ACC looks amazing in 4K, but reducing resolution to 1440 or 1080 makes a huge difference in the appearance...I changed from a 28' 4K monitor to UWS 1440, the wider screen is great but I miss the 4K sharpness

I cannot understand - a lot of people are saying it looks amazing. Do they have a different ACC on PC? I got one of the best 4k monitors with HDR, all setting maxed out and it looks like a game from the year 1980... what the hell is wrong with my game?

Pixel, reflections, AA, textures.. this ist really not amazing.. am I missing 4k texture pack?!

I have a similar issue and it does not render smooth. When dialing back the video settings to the low preset it will render smooth but obviously low graphics quality. When increasing the preset from low-med-high-epic, the graphics quality gets slightly better and then gets to the same point where you describe but then it also renders somewhat choppy. PC specs below:
    CPU: AMD ryzen 7 2700x
    Graphics Card: RX 5700 XT
Monitor: Samsung 49" ultrawide; LC49HG90 144hz using display port ver 1.2
AC and rF2 run and look amazing with the setup, I'm at a loss figuring out how to get ACC graphics looking and running as good as I read about.

No expert on this, just curious, can your system maintain 144 hz ?

And would that have any effect anyway, if it couldn't ?

It could be looking weird because of the wide angle (what FOV is that btw?), but have you made any custom entries in your engine.ini?

Why do I recall something something in Nvidia docs or driver - HDR an AA dosnt play nice.
Also SOME Nvidia setting are not DirectX12 compatible. Others conflict with the äpp".

I'm sorry, I did not read every answer - but PLEASE confirm you have turned OFF GeForce Experience, and its "optimal" setting?
In 2 places in the GE app! Turn it all off. I only have a 2060 6GB, however if you looking at low FPS:
Ensure the Nvidia drive and card ae running the show, and not if and when windos says it can:
Remove any program specific setting in th edriver and set it all GLOBAL.
    Preferred graphics processor = GTX
Power Management Mode = Prefer Max Performance [Way down in th settings list]
NB: Texture filtering: Ranges from High Quality to High Preformance, and inbetween. TO ME THISS MAX A HUGE DIFF TO FPS, with negligbile quality difference. (Yes, runnig n1920x1080 I know).

The other one I am aware of is whether FXAA is on or off, from much tinkering with all this on Lutris, Linux, Vulcan etc - In the driver (way more comprehensive than win) FXAA on would OVERIDE Any other AA nad cock it up. One or the other.

Lastly -was turning OFF all the "gaming" enhancements on this Samsung MONITOR. It too easily over sharpens and enhances /exaggerats and aliasing. The driv3er, the game, the monitor all "helping" and over doing it.

OH - last lastly -in the Nv driver, link to WINDOWS settings for which GPU, and its performnace mode!! VERY NB! Check it is set to the GTX, and is set to high performance.

Another last last lastly: You got windows running in ULTRA Performace mode? its a hidden power mode option enabled on Workstation Pro, some CPU/chipsets wont go "100%", this is big help, To me.

PLEASE BE AWARE ITS BAD FOR LAPTOP BATTERIES.
Howeer, I cant game if not plugged in, so meh. FPS First!

    1. Search for Command Prompt in the Start menu.
    2. Right-click the Command Prompt result.
    3. Choose “Run As Administrator.”
    4. In Command Prompt window, type the following command:
    5. powercfg -duplicatescheme e9a42b02-d5df-448d-aa00-03f14749eb61
    6. Press Enter.
    7. Reboot the system.
    8. Open Settings and navigate to System > Power & sleep > Additional Power Settings.
    9. Under ‘Choose or customize a power plan’, select ‘Ultimate Performance’.
Once enabled, you’ll see a new power scheme in Control Panel > Hardware and Sound > Options.

AND - MSi Afterburner is such a CHAMP.
Worst you can do is over lock too far, and it hangs/windows crashes.
You cant damage your GPU. GPU has a built in thermal cut out.
The built on OC Tool will even to the rampup testing for you.
My "Boost"of 1560Mhz happily hums at 2085Mhz, and mem clock way up.

Alot of randoms in here. I hope SOMETHING helps you, or anyone else..

Now if @kro could give us a clue to his colour settings, huh... please... cummon....

I Agree! What secret sauce you got there? its all just the right colours and shades. looks fantastic.... or did you tweak in post???

This isn't accurate. ALL CPUs can run at their maximum designed speed without having to change the plan to "ultimate".

@LJCooper, if you're after a better picture from your suggestions above I'm going to guess you're running the GPU in performance mode, changing it to high quality will give you a slightly better picture.

No extra stuff just ACC's menu …. I do down sample & then use sharpening to 150
    settings 1.jpg settings 2a.jpg settings 3.jpg
Down sampling in 4k gets my FPS up to 60+ on the stock 1080 ..

The car interiors and modelling is superb but when racing the landscape is very blurry with TAA on ultra, this is even on a 3840 X 1600 monitor with all settings cranked up to full. If you turn TAA off then the graphics are very crisp but the jaggies are horrendous. With TAA on I find you really need to up the supersampling in game to get it clear but then it kills the frame rate.
It's a shame there is not an alternative AA method such as MSAA.
I like AMS2 graphics the most at present.

I tested several hours and only when I set supersampling at about 150-200.. the game looks ok. It makes a huge different.
But to playing it with nativ resolution 5120x1440 and high details @ 150-200 supersampling rate is impossible with a RTX3090

which supersampling are you referring to?
Ingame the Pixel Density or nvidia control center?

Do you mean sharpness? I don't have a supersampling in my game or Pixel Density slider o_O ..?
Also it looks to me like your not even in 4k at all ? It should tell you in your display settings
For my 4k TV I see the selections like posted above & I will put it here again :
    Desktop Screenshot 2021.01.24 - 14.34.07.18.jpg
    5120X1440 is 2k .. ?

My trick is to use the 4k shown then drop the in game resolution scale down to 75 (gives the fps boost) & then crank the sharpening to 150 ..
