1. Do you need support for Assetto Corsa Competizione? Please use the proper forum below and ALWAYS zip and attach the WHOLE "Logs" folder in your c:\users\*youruser*\AppData\Local\AC2\Saved. The "AppData" folder is hidden by default, check "Hidden items" in your Windows view properties. If you report a crash, ALWAYS zip and attach the WHOLE "Crashes" folder in the same directory. Do not post "I have the same issue" in an existing thread with a game crash, always open your own thread. Do not PM developers and staff members for personal troubleshooting and support.
  2. As part of our continuous maintenance and improvements to Assetto Corsa Competizione we will be releasing small updates on a regular basis during the esports season which might not go through the usual announcement process detailing the changes until a later version update where these changes will be listed retrospectively.
  3. If ACC doesn't start with an error or the executable is missing, please add your entire Steam directory to the exceptions in your antivirus software, run a Steam integrity check or reinstall the game altogether. Make sure you add the User/Documents/Assetto Corsa Competizione folder to your antivirus/Defender exceptions and exclude it from any file sharing app (GDrive, OneDrive or Dropbox)! The Corsair iCue software is also known to conflict with Input Device initialization, if the game does not start up and you have such devices, please try disabling the iCue software and try again. [file:unknown] [line: 95] secure crt: invalid error is a sign of antivirus interference, while [Pak chunk signing mismatch on chunk] indicates a corrupted installation that requires game file verification.
  4. When reporting an issue with saved games, please always zip and attach your entire User/Documents/Assetto Corsa Competizione/Savegame folder, along with the logs and the crash folder (when reporting related to a crash).

    The thought of punting an Aventador around the Nordschleife for a lap time made me laugh aloud! Bull riding! Not so for Lamborghini….
    Shockingly, they’ve done it several times and the Aventador SVJ actually held the production car lap record.
    Bull riding has been called "the most dangerous eight seconds in sports." You know where I’m going with this! Bull Riding is not easy.

    Not only is the Lambo very difficult to get round safely, some don’t get on with the Nordschleife either.
    So for an alternative, we’ve got an Aventador update on Graveltrap’s excellently themed WHC 33 “Cannonball,” with a run around Black Cat County Long.

    The Aventador had a new 6.5 litre V12 developed for it. Have a listen, and a laugh at this:

    (This film is just brilliant on so many levels. I could write a book. Good laugh! Complete nutters! Please jump to 12:36 if nothing else! And if you have a supercar, obviously, expect mad people to suddenly jump out in front of it!)
    0-100mph in 6.4 secs and 0-200mph in 33.5 secs.
    Magnificent and surely, very sadly, this beast is one of the last of its kind.

    For those choosing the hard path, we are going to follow Marco Mapelli, the Lambo factory driver, who, in 2015, took a deep breath and hustled an Aventador SuperVeloce round the ring in an amazing 6 mins 59.7 secs.
    On Pirelli P Zero Corsas. ie: Hypercar Road tyres everyone.
    Similar to being on the back of an angry bull, this is a very tricky challenge indeed and there will be tears. Around the Nordschleife you can get into trouble very quickly.
    The heavy Lambo displays unusual handling traits, due to its mid-engine, Haldex AllWheelDrive powertrain combination and the speed at which it accelerates.
    If you lift off and turn in, it rotates very quickly indeed….

    And if you apply the power too quickly having turned in, it keeps on turning.
    Both “mistakes,” if you survive, require you to wind off steering lock and feel clumsy. However, if and once you’ve worked out this “balance” you can use it extremely effectively, I imagine!
    Stay on all the way around, and you get the satisfaction of clicking into 7th gear for 200 mph + up the Döttinger Höhe.
    At Black Cat, you’ve got lots more room.

    But trail braking into the high speed corners upsets the bull and risks a very rapid off. (See Example A)
    For those choosing the easier path, here is a refresher, just to get you in the mood. Notice the lack of proper corners and for 155 mph, you’ll read read 185 mph.

    This is the first time out in WHC for the old fashioned, pre- kinematic upgrades, GT3 Huracan.
    Interestingly, the Huracan GT3 won its first race, first time out at Monza. The #19 Grasser Team car (pictured) took the lead during the first hour and never looked back. Unluckily (ahem,) the Huracan was later disqualified for a fuel-rig infringement.

    Monza is usually dry. Is the Bull is happy in the wet?
    Are you going to drop the aero and grip for the sake of speed on the straights and stay on, rodeo-style, for ten minutes?
    Out of the slower corners the 5.2 litre, 90 degree V10 will have the traction control working hard. In the faster sweepers you can only guess what will happen.

    After the old Godzilla, this car is the race car that I have driven the least so far (about 150km). And now I realize how much fun it is to drive it through the rain.

    A good forty minutes of Sbinalla im Westfälisches Blindhuhn before I decided to just try to get round, very carefully. :)

    Well over half a minute slower than Marco Mapelli's real life lap.
    Just in case you were wondering too, here is what a real man looks like!

    Great video, TW, full of emotion. I did a first warm up at the AC hard challenge, my lap time was near 8 minutes, didn't even bother to submit...

    @Rod100 - I used the Trofeo tyres and will continue to use them until I'm well under 7 mins.:D

    I will try the road tyres, but it is difficult enough on the Trofeos!

    We did just over an hour. My best was 3m53; began at around 4m15. TW well into the 40s.

    Nice combo. No Bull.

    I'm not afraid.. I'll go for the hard one. In my previous life I was always finding an excuse not do the challenge. From what I remember, my brain was able to kind of know the first third of the track and after that it's open bar. I'll be happy just to know it at the end of the week.
