1. Do you need support for Assetto Corsa Competizione? Please use the proper forum below and ALWAYS zip and attach the WHOLE "Logs" folder in your c:\users\*youruser*\AppData\Local\AC2\Saved. The "AppData" folder is hidden by default, check "Hidden items" in your Windows view properties. If you report a crash, ALWAYS zip and attach the WHOLE "Crashes" folder in the same directory. Do not post "I have the same issue" in an existing thread with a game crash, always open your own thread. Do not PM developers and staff members for personal troubleshooting and support.
  2. As part of our continuous maintenance and improvements to Assetto Corsa Competizione we will be releasing small updates on a regular basis during the esports season which might not go through the usual announcement process detailing the changes until a later version update where these changes will be listed retrospectively.
  3. If ACC doesn't start with an error or the executable is missing, please add your entire Steam directory to the exceptions in your antivirus software, run a Steam integrity check or reinstall the game altogether. Make sure you add the User/Documents/Assetto Corsa Competizione folder to your antivirus/Defender exceptions and exclude it from any file sharing app (GDrive, OneDrive or Dropbox)! The Corsair iCue software is also known to conflict with Input Device initialization, if the game does not start up and you have such devices, please try disabling the iCue software and try again. [file:unknown] [line: 95] secure crt: invalid error is a sign of antivirus interference, while [Pak chunk signing mismatch on chunk] indicates a corrupted installation that requires game file verification.
  4. When reporting an issue with saved games, please always zip and attach your entire User/Documents/Assetto Corsa Competizione/Savegame folder, along with the logs and the crash folder (when reporting related to a crash).

No, the pdf in 1st post is not printer friendly. It has black background and red text... exactly what @cconti mentioned.

Hope you will like the new version :)

Now, only idea i have to continue developing this one is basic, simple steps of how to tune your car, generally, and as some people advised, to add info about tracks, which i need to gather. We will see about that.

  9. Friends, a doubt that came to me. In stabilizer bars (or anti-roll bars) when I increase the number it "hardens" and when I lower the number it "softens"

in my example, if i have an anti-roll bar 5 and increase the number to 15, i will be "hardening" it, correct?

    Hi!
Have put ~30h into ACC so far. Haven't gotten much into setups. Just simple tire heats and ride height.
Did a race on Imola today, 2x30min practice, qualifying and an 60min race.
Fastest lap I managed was 1:47.750.
Not a perfect lap either, could go faster.

It got me wondering, how much can a proper setup improve your lap time?

  20. IMHO, race cars leave their factory at their fullest performance capabilities and without changing a/some part (s), you can not increase HP, Max Speed etc with setup changes. What setup does is, tame the cars behaviors to suits drivers driving style and fine tune handling inconsistencies caused by tracks unique specifications. In arcade and sim arcade games setup changes indeed make a huge difference but in sims which tries to emulate the real world physics it does not.

Many veterans suggest not to bother with setups ın the beginning and learn how to to drive the car first. It may sound annoying and insulting to a beginner (i too felt like that) but it is somehow true. I only have one reservation for this. If the beginner had some experience on street cars or in arcade cars, they begin with some serious driving bad habits. Many sims suggests two setups a more stable one for beginners and an aggressive one for the experienced drivers. Sometimes, for the bad habits i mentioned; even the stable setup can not be stable enough. So the driver indeed needs to make small adjustments here and there for it. The caveat here that almost all beginners start with no car tuning knowledge and even if they do, they do not have enough driving skills yet to evaluate whether the change was for good or bad. So they spend hours on the setup screen and few minutes on track. I know i did.

If you have a friend who know how to setup and you will be able to explain what is "really" the problem, you can ask him to tune it for you. I am not pointing commercial setups available out there or setups shared on the web here. These still be not appropriate for the beginners. Once you start to develop better race driver habits and technique, then you may benefit from setup changes to fix your shortcomings.

Long story short; No matter how it sounds, learn to drive the car as it is.
