1. Do you need support for Assetto Corsa Competizione? Please use the proper forum below and ALWAYS zip and attach the WHOLE "Logs" folder in your c:\users\*youruser*\AppData\Local\AC2\Saved. The "AppData" folder is hidden by default, check "Hidden items" in your Windows view properties. If you report a crash, ALWAYS zip and attach the WHOLE "Crashes" folder in the same directory. Do not post "I have the same issue" in an existing thread with a game crash, always open your own thread. Do not PM developers and staff members for personal troubleshooting and support.
  2. As part of our continuous maintenance and improvements to Assetto Corsa Competizione we will be releasing small updates on a regular basis during the esports season which might not go through the usual announcement process detailing the changes until a later version update where these changes will be listed retrospectively.
  3. If ACC doesn't start with an error or the executable is missing, please add your entire Steam directory to the exceptions in your antivirus software, run a Steam integrity check or reinstall the game altogether. Make sure you add the User/Documents/Assetto Corsa Competizione folder to your antivirus/Defender exceptions and exclude it from any file sharing app (GDrive, OneDrive or Dropbox)! The Corsair iCue software is also known to conflict with Input Device initialization, if the game does not start up and you have such devices, please try disabling the iCue software and try again. [file:unknown] [line: 95] secure crt: invalid error is a sign of antivirus interference, while [Pak chunk signing mismatch on chunk] indicates a corrupted installation that requires game file verification.
  4. When reporting an issue with saved games, please always zip and attach your entire User/Documents/Assetto Corsa Competizione/Savegame folder, along with the logs and the crash folder (when reporting related to a crash).

Weekly Hotlap Challenge #221 - Toyota Tango and an Audi Spa day

    The Challenge:
    Hotlap
Car: Toyota AE86 and Toyota TS040 Hybrid 2014
    Track: Imola

This week’s hotlap challenge will test your patience in more ways than a three year old! We’re gonna kill you with kindness, and scare you witless at the same time. It’s going to take a bit of patience and skill to wrestle the old street car around this circuit, so grab a drink or a smoke because you’ll have plenty of time for distracted driving on Imola. But on the flip side, you’ll be wishing for a little more reaction time between corners in the dedicated warp missile known as the TS040.

I thought it might be fun to do a little compare and contrast between these machines. Although built for different purposes, they were built by the same company to do essentially the same thing - go fast. Yes they are both cars in the general sense of the word but they are about as far apart as two things can be and still be talked about in the same sentence. Marvel at what a load of time, technology, and a lot of money can accomplish.

Imola is the track of choice this week as it seems to suit both cars the best. Not only was it an F1 track in a past life, its an accessible track to those of us who like to thrash our own street cars on open track days. Imola is the best of both worlds for this week’s challenge.

Recommended tyre pressures for the Toyota AE86 street tires is 39psi. The 90's street tires are slower so don't use them lol.

Recommended tyre pressures for the Toyota TS040 Hybrid are Undetermined at this time. In other words I don't know what they're supposed to be yet.

RSR shows the top lap times are 1.26.954 for the Hybrid and 2.23.233 for the AE86.

How to take part - Hot lap:

To enter, select Drive > Hotlap, choose the Toyota AE86 or Toyota TS040 Hybrid 2014 and the Imola circuit. Please setup the session using the settings below:

    Mode: Hotlap Imola
    Time of day: Free
    Ambient Temp: Free
    Setup: Free
    Controller: Free
    Assists: Factory
    Stability: Free

    Deadline: Sunday 13th January 2019 - 21:00 GMT.

You can run as many laps as you like and update your times as often as you like, it’s simple All Platforms are welcome, it is all about having fun and enjoying Assetto Corsa.

To submit a time, pause the game and select 'session' from the menu and screenshot this page or take a photo of your screen and post it in this thread - Note all the information from the screen is required including temperature, mode heading and of course the car being used!

Please post video clips and share information in here as well, but without the session screen your time will not be included (placing the session screen in a video clip is acceptable).

Please use the following format to post your times:

Your time, to be shown as x.xx.xxx.
    Your platform (PC Xb1 PS4)
The image or screen shot showing your time.
    Your thoughts and comment

Please mark updated times with Improvement.

A leader board is collated regularly. Unfortunately editing of posts gets locked on this forum so this post cannot be updated.

    ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Continuing with the "beat the pro" theme, but this week we are back in the GT4, targeting a 2:31:3 around Spa in the Audi R8 GT4, I've no idea how easy this will be as not had a chance to try it, but the video mentions the drivers is on used tyres, so we will compensate for this by setting the track conditions to "fast".

2:21 is easily possible, but I messed up mid sector a bit.

    Video will follow shortly.

I've a definite soft spot for the LMP's in AC...no idea what I'm doing with the KERS deployment though!

Toyota AE86, second car I owned as a youngster (my first was an XR3i) - had the number plate A141 CAN - the twin cam engine blew, con-rod straight through the side of the block! Oh to be 18 and have the 80’s back again.

Ideal pressure for TS040 is 35 psi all around, all compounds.

"Fast" track conditions might be too slow to get a 2:31 to be honest.

Very different from the GT3 version. Needs lots of tweaks. Still working on it.

Needed a lot of brake duct and pressure tweaks. Running front and rear ducts at 2. Pressures still not perfect but close.

0 front bar. springs soft front, stiff rear. Not the best balance but it rotates. Some lift oversteer but its better than pushing like crazy imo.

yeah sorry about that, didn’t have time to test, I worked on the basis that gt4s are usually around 10 seconds a lap slower that GT3s so it felt doable, but I forgot how long a lap of Spa is!

No worries, i think the 2:33's will be the lowest for us. Which is still pretty quick!
