1. Do you need support for Assetto Corsa Competizione? Please use the proper forum below and ALWAYS zip and attach the WHOLE "Logs" folder in your c:\users\*youruser*\AppData\Local\AC2\Saved. The "AppData" folder is hidden by default, check "Hidden items" in your Windows view properties. If you report a crash, ALWAYS zip and attach the WHOLE "Crashes" folder in the same directory. Do not post "I have the same issue" in an existing thread with a game crash, always open your own thread. Do not PM developers and staff members for personal troubleshooting and support.
  2. As part of our continuous maintenance and improvements to Assetto Corsa Competizione we will be releasing small updates on a regular basis during the esports season which might not go through the usual announcement process detailing the changes until a later version update where these changes will be listed retrospectively.
  3. If ACC doesn't start with an error or the executable is missing, please add your entire Steam directory to the exceptions in your antivirus software, run a Steam integrity check or reinstall the game altogether. Make sure you add the User/Documents/Assetto Corsa Competizione folder to your antivirus/Defender exceptions and exclude it from any file sharing app (GDrive, OneDrive or Dropbox)! The Corsair iCue software is also known to conflict with Input Device initialization, if the game does not start up and you have such devices, please try disabling the iCue software and try again. [file:unknown] [line: 95] secure crt: invalid error is a sign of antivirus interference, while [Pak chunk signing mismatch on chunk] indicates a corrupted installation that requires game file verification.
  4. When reporting an issue with saved games, please always zip and attach your entire User/Documents/Assetto Corsa Competizione/Savegame folder, along with the logs and the crash folder (when reporting related to a crash).

    Hi Jim,
    Thank you very much indeed, this is working perfectly in multi player for me too, which is all I actually want it for, but just in case it hasn't already been reported, if CC is running and I use hotstint mode, after I have done a lap he just keeps repeating the last lap time, again and again. Seems consistently reproducible for me, happens every damn time I forget to turn it off before going into hotstint mode :)

    yeah, it repeats constantly because the session type being send by the game is usually AC_SESSION_TYPE.AC_HOTLAP but occasionally is AC_SESSION_TYPE.ACC_HOTSTINT, and this change in session type triggers the session restart logic so the app thinks it's a new session confusing the lap time code. Next update will have both session types mapped to HotLap so this should fix it

    I thought that CC wasn't able to work with ACC, very good news to see it came back to work.
    This really add much for immersion.
    About voice recognition options, I would like to know if I can map a button to enable/disable permanent listening.

    It's working, it has some quirks in ACC but it's working and way better than not having it.
    The official development for ACC is discontinued but Jim did not take ACC connectivity out of the program.
    So you can use latest official version.

    The whole thing is an immersion boost, its so much better than the builtin crew sounds. I really would like to see a better data support for CC, plz, not "just ignore him and he will gow away" ;)

    Well I used Audacity and loaded three existing WAV files that contained the sounds that when combined would pronounce my name.
    I removed the unwanted bits from each track and moved the remainder of the tracks so they played in the right sequence.
    A bit of trial and error is needed and you may find it helps to slightly overlap tracks a bit.
    When you are happy with the results export it as [Your name].WAV and put it in
    C:\Users\[Your username]\AppData\Local\CrewChiefV4\sounds\driver_names
    Restart CrewChief and select it from the list of driver names.

    That gets it working although some of the personalisation generated by CrewChiefV4 and found in
    C:\Users\[Your username]\AppData\Local\CrewChiefV4\sounds\personalisations\[Your name]\prefixes_and_suffixes\ have a slightly odd pitch
    so I think I'll have to spend time tweaking these individually in Audacity to get them right.

    So I tried to recreate out of the existing files "midgett" and "night" my name "midnight".
    I'm not based skilled at Audacity :D but I got it managed, somehow. Still the outcome is a bit harsh pronounced, military like :p

    So my "midnight.wav" file is in the right folder but it's not shown in CrewChief to select. Like many other names.

    So what I'm doing wrong?

    Yeah it can be a bit aggressive , if I find a way of making it sound more natural I'll let you know, there must be a piece of software
    out there that makes it a simple task.
