1. Do you need support for Assetto Corsa Competizione? Please use the proper forum below and ALWAYS zip and attach the WHOLE "Logs" folder in your c:\users\*youruser*\AppData\Local\AC2\Saved. The "AppData" folder is hidden by default, check "Hidden items" in your Windows view properties. If you report a crash, ALWAYS zip and attach the WHOLE "Crashes" folder in the same directory. Do not post "I have the same issue" in an existing thread with a game crash, always open your own thread. Do not PM developers and staff members for personal troubleshooting and support.
  2. As part of our continuous maintenance and improvements to Assetto Corsa Competizione we will be releasing small updates on a regular basis during the esports season which might not go through the usual announcement process detailing the changes until a later version update where these changes will be listed retrospectively.
  3. If ACC doesn't start with an error or the executable is missing, please add your entire Steam directory to the exceptions in your antivirus software, run a Steam integrity check or reinstall the game altogether. Make sure you add the User/Documents/Assetto Corsa Competizione folder to your antivirus/Defender exceptions and exclude it from any file sharing app (GDrive, OneDrive or Dropbox)! The Corsair iCue software is also known to conflict with Input Device initialization, if the game does not start up and you have such devices, please try disabling the iCue software and try again. [file:unknown] [line: 95] secure crt: invalid error is a sign of antivirus interference, while [Pak chunk signing mismatch on chunk] indicates a corrupted installation that requires game file verification.
  4. When reporting an issue with saved games, please always zip and attach your entire User/Documents/Assetto Corsa Competizione/Savegame folder, along with the logs and the crash folder (when reporting related to a crash).

Feels slow this car, ran out of petrol at Parabolica on the last lap when 2/10ths up (so 21 litres needed to get through the stint here)

Well I managed to knock about a second off of my time from a few years ago. I tweaked the tune that I had saved from the setup market to suit me and the track better. Now the trick will be, whether or not I can replicate that time when I get my new rig setup.

    @Pretend racer Is it the 720S we’re using? That’s what’s in the picture, but you’ve put 620S. There’s only a 650S though? :confused:

Sorry about that! A small typo by mike and a reading comprehension issue on my part is what caused that confusion. Mike wasn't able to provide the usual picture to go with the challenge this week because he's on vacation. I decided to pull some pics from the interwebs because I don't actually own ACC. I just searched acc 620 mclaren and it brought up that beauty of a pic of a 720s. Google lied to me hahahah. It pulled a pic from facebook and the first line of text associated with that picture is "everybody loved the 650s"... I never read the text of course, and I didn't even think to double check.

Anyways, I think I got we all got it sorted now. New pic in place and I corrected the typo in the 1st post. Thanks guys!

I was flogging around in the mid 2.08s, concerned and very conscious of the notional 2.07 target set by Pr.
I then applied his set up, thinking it wouldn't really help and I was wrong! End result = phew!:)

First crack at this one, and not a car I’ve driven in AC before - but crept into the 7’s so happy with the start!

    and in with the new!!!!
    upload_2021-9-2_21-39-56.png

The build is done, now its time to tweak the ergonomics and learn how to use all the new software for the pedals and the simcommander software for the wheel and the bass shakers!

    Very nice!

Are those sprints i see? Been wanting them myself for a while. As well as a rig.

Are you in the garage or the basement?

I'm stuck in the utility closet - hot water tank, furnace, fuse panel etc. Just enough room for the rig which is perfect. Its not an eyesore to the wife - outta sight outta mind lol.

Yep I got the sprints for pedals. Couldn't justify anything else really. Bang for your buck they are the best pedals out there I think.

The rig is an asr6 from advanced sim racing. Best deal in Canada

  14. Very nice @Pretend racer!
    And the seat?
Upgraded from your 70s style "plush ride" to something approaching a Recaro? Reminds me of an Escort XR3i from the late 80s....:)

I'm not sure I'll do better than this, it felt like I was spot on for each corner, although obviously not!

OK, not a bad opener for me, good improvement through the 10 mins but still far to go. I have a 30k run/swim this weekend so not sure how much time I’ll have to improve unfortunately??

haha well not quite. My old seat was actually the middle seat from the middle row of a Dodge Caravan (minivan). It was a captains chair so it had arm rests on both sides lol. I got it for $20 out of the Pick a Part (junkyard where you pull your own parts off the wrecks). Pretty good deal compared to what a sparco seat goes for these days. I figured for the new rig I wanted something a little more sporty. So I grabbed the 'new to me' passenger seat from a wrecked Mitsubishi eclipse -
I made sure I got the seat slider too, which is a $135 option if I bought it from asr.

    Finally !
Looks like a good upgrade. :cool:Pro tip: Get a foot rest for your feet. You will not regret it!
Monitor looks a bit too far away for me, but you are driving VR anyway, right?
Anyway, I take this will just be the start for you. I bet soon you will be looking for upgrades :D

Yes, I do actually have a foot rest. I just took the pic after I installed the bass shakers cause they can't be seen under my foot rest. And yes I race in vr so monitor distance doesn't matter.

Next upgrade will be the computer itself. Gonna try and get something cool during the black friday sales lol, or maybe just keep plugging away until ac2 comes out...
