1. Do you need support for Assetto Corsa Competizione? Please use the proper forum below and ALWAYS zip and attach the WHOLE "Logs" folder in your c:\users\*youruser*\AppData\Local\AC2\Saved. The "AppData" folder is hidden by default, check "Hidden items" in your Windows view properties. If you report a crash, ALWAYS zip and attach the WHOLE "Crashes" folder in the same directory. Do not post "I have the same issue" in an existing thread with a game crash, always open your own thread. Do not PM developers and staff members for personal troubleshooting and support.
  2. As part of our continuous maintenance and improvements to Assetto Corsa Competizione we will be releasing small updates on a regular basis during the esports season which might not go through the usual announcement process detailing the changes until a later version update where these changes will be listed retrospectively.
  3. If ACC doesn't start with an error or the executable is missing, please add your entire Steam directory to the exceptions in your antivirus software, run a Steam integrity check or reinstall the game altogether. Make sure you add the User/Documents/Assetto Corsa Competizione folder to your antivirus/Defender exceptions and exclude it from any file sharing app (GDrive, OneDrive or Dropbox)! The Corsair iCue software is also known to conflict with Input Device initialization, if the game does not start up and you have such devices, please try disabling the iCue software and try again. [file:unknown] [line: 95] secure crt: invalid error is a sign of antivirus interference, while [Pak chunk signing mismatch on chunk] indicates a corrupted installation that requires game file verification.
  4. When reporting an issue with saved games, please always zip and attach your entire User/Documents/Assetto Corsa Competizione/Savegame folder, along with the logs and the crash folder (when reporting related to a crash).

Direct drive wheel movement in ac

    Hello people !

I know people are curious about how detailed a DD wheel can be so here it is.

So i thought i would record a lap showing the wheel movement from FFB.

The point of the video is to show how active the wheel of the virtual car (therefore also the actualy ffb wheel) can be compared to real life.

Looks pretty realistic, could be even more realistic if i was willing to risk my arms integrity.

I know people are curious about how detailed a DD wheel can be so here it is.

This is a DIY Direct Drive servo wheel capable of 22nm,
Normally i race AC using 30% of that power.
This video is recorded using 50% .
No added effects in AC, 13% dampening.
    Track grip @ 97%.
    Default car setup.

Didn't use more power since i wanted the video to show some FFB forces that are race-able for 40 minutes or so (depending your fit level)

I have never used this car @ Nords and i have done max 10 laps on this track in my life so excuse some misshaps :D

I hope you like it !

p.s. Check the wheel while going over the carousel.

All the small movements you see at the wheel are produced by the ffb. You just can't hold this thing straight! Even the small movements you see are massive hammerlike hits.
And the best thing is that there is no clipping at this % of gain, so the detail is unbelievable! Only on AC :)

    right on.

Eventually I'll go DD, but I'm going to need the prices to drop a bit... But considering demand of the Accuforce is still outstripping supply, that's going to be a while...

so wait, did your issues get resolved?? or is it still too strong to really play? (i forget what the specific issue w/ AC FFB for DD wheels was, sorry)

The only issue with AC FFB on a direct drive wheel is that there are exagerrated SAT forces, therefore the wheel wants to center by itself (like it should) but instead of applying x force it applies x3 , or that is how it feels.

This makes driving with high forces a pain in the .... arms.....

@Aristotelis , can you confirm the forces are exagerrated or you stand by the opinion they are normal?

    Thanks.
