1. Do you need support for Assetto Corsa Competizione? Please use the proper forum below and ALWAYS zip and attach the WHOLE "Logs" folder in your c:\users\*youruser*\AppData\Local\AC2\Saved. The "AppData" folder is hidden by default, check "Hidden items" in your Windows view properties. If you report a crash, ALWAYS zip and attach the WHOLE "Crashes" folder in the same directory. Do not post "I have the same issue" in an existing thread with a game crash, always open your own thread. Do not PM developers and staff members for personal troubleshooting and support.
  2. As part of our continuous maintenance and improvements to Assetto Corsa Competizione we will be releasing small updates on a regular basis during the esports season which might not go through the usual announcement process detailing the changes until a later version update where these changes will be listed retrospectively.
  3. If ACC doesn't start with an error or the executable is missing, please add your entire Steam directory to the exceptions in your antivirus software, run a Steam integrity check or reinstall the game altogether. Make sure you add the User/Documents/Assetto Corsa Competizione folder to your antivirus/Defender exceptions and exclude it from any file sharing app (GDrive, OneDrive or Dropbox)! The Corsair iCue software is also known to conflict with Input Device initialization, if the game does not start up and you have such devices, please try disabling the iCue software and try again. [file:unknown] [line: 95] secure crt: invalid error is a sign of antivirus interference, while [Pak chunk signing mismatch on chunk] indicates a corrupted installation that requires game file verification.
  4. When reporting an issue with saved games, please always zip and attach your entire User/Documents/Assetto Corsa Competizione/Savegame folder, along with the logs and the crash folder (when reporting related to a crash).

Stop whining. Holidays in Italy are... HOLY. :) :p
This next update will be a great step forward i.m.o. (i do not play a lot online, but really need someAI on track).
And i bet that the updates that Kunos give us do not go exactly in pair with the actual development :)

  3. Hope ya'll had good holidays and took at least a few days off and away from the sim.
After waiting for so long 2014 will be the year that V1.0 is finally ready and released and before the end of the year we will have a laser scanned Nords. In the grand scheme of things waiting a couple more weeks for a couple more cars and maybe a track isn't that big of a deal.

That being said, get the MP working please!

The opposite of me then. The last thing I want from sim racing enthusiast developers is to become like some faceless utility provider I switch to whoever gives the best price or the least crap service. I want a genuine enthusiast to enthusiast relationship because this is a hobby many of us love and the fact we don't have the suits like we had at Sierra holding the purse strings and calling the shots of the sim developers is a very very good thing IMHO.

Imagine the reaction if it was revealed that now we are back from our Christmas break Kunos had been sitting on a bunch of new stuff to release to meet some arbitary release schedule!

    From AC website FAQ:
"The Early Access program allows you to purchase Assetto Corsa some weeks before the final version is released, saving 22% on the release price, getting a beta version of the software and all its updates, that will be released every two weeks since the first launch. Then, when the final version of the game will be available, you will be able to download it without paying any extra charge."

I understand that hard working people deserve a break on the holidays. I'm not saying that the Kunos team needed to be working on AC through Christmas and New Years, and I'm very excited for the announcement, but c'mon.

Erwin is right. Why wasn't a car or some sort of update released today? I feel like something, at least one thing should have been finished ahead of time and queued up for an update today. Didn't need to be AC .5. Just something to keep their word to Early Access customers.

The only reason I'm saying this is because Kunos said that updates will be released every two weeks since the first launch. I really wouldn't care if it was more clearly said up front that they were not going to have an update today. A little note in their FAQ that said (except on holidays), or a clear announcement on Facebook, or the forums earlier this week, or last week stating that due to the holidays, we won't be getting an update.

If there was an update somewhere, please show me where it was. I crawl AC's Facebook page, website, and forums almost every day looking for new news, but I didn't see a single thing.

I guess it's just a difference in culture, but I see a problem in this.

YES, Kunos should have prepared at least a small update or at least better (earlier) communicated that we will have to wait 4 weeks for the next one and
YES, it is not a desaster, the world is still turning and the DEVs have deserved their holidays for their excelent sim.
    Enough said! :)

Just think a bit.. what these guys can do in 4 weeks, since they've done awesome stuff just in 2? I really hope next update don't come with only AI but something more (DAMAGE)... :)

Thanks Kunos, I've spent my bucks really well this time in a game.
You guys deserve some days to "rest", nordschleife license - 10 brand new cars DLC... LaFerrari for free...nice! (Y)~

I think a Christmas is a good reason to disrupt 2 weeks rule. They probably still worked more then us on holidays. They deserved it. They have families too.

All of the studios around here get a week off at the end of December. Only IT lackeys work around Christmas.
I don't know, but I've been told that most entertainment companies stop production for a week or more during the holidays.

I think that early access communities would benefit from a "No entitled brats allowed" policy.

Maybe they expected common sense to prevail and for people to realise, all by themselves, without it being spelt out to them, that there probably wouldn't be an update 2 days after new years' day? If they made a mistake, this is it.

I don't know what to say anymore, except to try and be charitable to you people and reiterate once again that Kunos are not a massive commercialised studio like Turn 10, Infinity Ward, Rockstar, etc. They are a small independent team who have poured a lot of their own personal fortune and much of the last four years of their lives into this project because they want to mange the best racing simulation possible. They are not out to take your money and run, they are not out to make promises they cannot keep. From the very beginning of the process they have been open and honest with us, they have communicated and engaged with the community on a lot of aspects, and they've even incorporated several community suggestions into the sim as we've gone along. A lot of you seem to be coming at this from the entirely wrong angle I think, and you're making it increasingly unpleasant for the rest of us.

Grandi ragazzi!
    Buon Anno!! Continuate così!
    Simone.

Of course they do. They have been doing an amazing job and have delivered a unique and very fun driving experience, BUT they did not live up to their word. It's like false advertising.

    Common sense, huh?

Let's look at it this way. Imagine you're paying me to make you sandwiches. I told you up front, that if you pay me for sandwiches, I will give you sandwiches every 2 weeks. When holidays come around, I could make arrangements for your sandwiches ahead of time, since you paid me to make you sandwiches every 2 weeks. If I don't get sandwiches to you in the time frame that I said I would, then that's a little problem.

I completely understand that they're a small development house, and I do not expect them to be a Rockstar or Turn 10. I know they're not out to take our money and run. I know they won't let us down. What I do expect is for them not to say that they're updating the game every 2 weeks when they aren't. That's fine if they don't.. Just don't say it!

Get it? It's the principle of it all. I admit, it's an anal annoyance on my part, but it's simply somebody saying they'll do something and they don't. Their FAQ should not say updates every 2 weeks when there won't be.

Again, I understand they're a small software house. I don't expect them to be like a 50 person team. I love what they have done so far, and I'm so, so excited for what is to come. My point is just that they said something on their website that is not true.
