Race Restart Glitch / Bug

Last night I ran 5 or 6 races in quick race mode against the AI, and when they got overzealous and punted me off the track as they tend to do, I would restart my race. When it placed my car back on the grid, it's like it's dropped from four or five feet off the ground, it's never lined up straight with my start box, and my wheel no longer thinks it's at center. As soon as I launch, the car will go hard left or right and I have to restart again making sure my wheel is centered manually. Is there no auto center for our wheels in the game?

Clutch Calibration Issue

For whatever reason AC wants the clutch on my T3PA Pros pressed all the way to the floor or the gears simply grind while you missed a shift. Real cars don't work this way, and other sims don't either. Again, we really need a way to calibrate our wheels / pedals.

Random FFB Loss

No real rhyme or reason to it, just randomly I lose all FFB on a Thrustmaster TX servo base. The only way to fix it is to exit out to the dashboard, quit the game, then re-launch it.

 

Yes I've seen all those issues too, the FFB loss is the most baffling as it does seem to be random, I can't find a pattern to it. II have three replays saved where it happens and they all have significant fps drop/lag whatever so it could be something to do with that.

The clutch pedal one is equally annoying because the clutch pedal works on semi automatic paddle shift cars but there you need only brush the pedal to see the rpm hit the redline.

 

i've heard reports of people loosing ffb randomly on ps4.. i think it was because of TX wheel getting too hot and turning it off to prevent premature hardware failure.
People fixed it either turning down ffb force or replacing stock internal fan for a more powerful one.

 

Odd that it doesn't happen in any other games though and the FFB in pCARS is far heavier than AC for example. F1 2016 is faultless as far as FFB goes. This seems to be a problem isolated to AC, on the Xbox One at least.

 

My TX base is out of warranty, and as such has been modified. The stock fan was a 60mm 16CFM unit, it has been replaced with an 80mm 42CFM unit mounted in a better location to help cool the motor better. I'm also running V.50 firmware in constant on fan mode. I have my FFB settings at 40/40/40 in AC. And as mentioned by others, I too have no issues in any other title that I play.

 

Before you restart, make sure your wheels are centered, because the game will put you on the starting grid with the wheels as they were when you crashed.

The clutch is the same on g920 really annoying, ive had to turn damage off cause kept blowing me box up. Sure it will get fixed soon.

 

Wow, I quickshift and just lightly tap the clutch on my G29 on PS4 haha, so much so that I regularly grind a gear here and there from just missing its point of disengagement. Strange that it would be so different on the G920/xbox.

 

That dropping from 4 or 5 ft and wheel not centred happens on the PC version as well, its a bit weird, a lot of times I just restart from the beginning again because I find it so annoying.

 

As far as the loss of ffb you guys should try a hard reset of the console itself by unplugging it or holding down the xbox button on the console, it usually fixed alot of little issues.
The clutch pedal characteristics seem to be different on all the cars, some of the older ones seem to need more effort and care i guess to not grind. I just chalk this up as possibly being realistic. I was driving the Lamborghini Miura and it was definitely more finicky than modern cars were, im sure the real cars tramsmission wasnt exactly refined at the time.
