1. Do you need support for Assetto Corsa Competizione? Please use the proper forum below and ALWAYS zip and attach the WHOLE "Logs" folder in your c:\users\*youruser*\AppData\Local\AC2\Saved. The "AppData" folder is hidden by default, check "Hidden items" in your Windows view properties. If you report a crash, ALWAYS zip and attach the WHOLE "Crashes" folder in the same directory. Do not post "I have the same issue" in an existing thread with a game crash, always open your own thread. Do not PM developers and staff members for personal troubleshooting and support.
  2. As part of our continuous maintenance and improvements to Assetto Corsa Competizione we will be releasing small updates on a regular basis during the esports season which might not go through the usual announcement process detailing the changes until a later version update where these changes will be listed retrospectively.
  3. If ACC doesn't start with an error or the executable is missing, please add your entire Steam directory to the exceptions in your antivirus software, run a Steam integrity check or reinstall the game altogether. Make sure you add the User/Documents/Assetto Corsa Competizione folder to your antivirus/Defender exceptions and exclude it from any file sharing app (GDrive, OneDrive or Dropbox)! The Corsair iCue software is also known to conflict with Input Device initialization, if the game does not start up and you have such devices, please try disabling the iCue software and try again. [file:unknown] [line: 95] secure crt: invalid error is a sign of antivirus interference, while [Pak chunk signing mismatch on chunk] indicates a corrupted installation that requires game file verification.
  4. When reporting an issue with saved games, please always zip and attach your entire User/Documents/Assetto Corsa Competizione/Savegame folder, along with the logs and the crash folder (when reporting related to a crash).

blurry picture and italian colors

I really dislike the blurry image of AC. I think it comes from the anti-aliasing process. There is something like that in Project Cars when you play with the AA settings.
This is at a point where i don't play it anymore. My eyes see clear an sharp images and this game impose blurry ones. Rfactor, iRacing or R3E have a better image.

By the way it seems that each track suffer from the same italian colors. Sunlight is not the same in Rome, Paris or London. They should take care of this.

Possibly the chromatic aberration effect in game? Can be removed from the pp effect you use manually but if you give natural graphics mod a try that changes colours as well as CA to something a little more real. Can be found in the mod section on here or on another popular mod hosting site ;).

You can also try and use SweetFX to sharpen up that image a bit. Takes a few FPS from you though.

    [Double post, sorry]

  6. Just use Natural Graphics Mod which you can find at RaceDepartment.

By default the PP just looks so bad. And atleast you want to make sure you're not running any FXAA because it will make everything look blurry.

Natural Graphics Mod is praised by many, imo it's not that special. It's very stripped down and clinical look, instead of "natural" look as the name says. Bernd Graf graphics mods look much better and natural... but of course matter of taste. Some may even prefer the official ones (?)

    Start here yes.

If you don't want to install any mod :
\SteamLibrary\steamapps\common\assettocorsa\system\cfg open graphics.ini and play with "MIP_LOD_BIAS=0 ; GO NEGATIVE (ie. -1) TO SHARP THE IMAGE"

Another setting I found helps is the depth of field quality. I used to hate how things like the track limit lines would go from sharp to blurry suddenly, there was a clear line where it happened. I changed the Depth of field to maximum and it fixed it. On lower settings it just seems very noticeable.

Try disabling FXAA if you are using it. FXAA is basically a very fast and low resource method of Anti Aliasing which just blurrs any edges it detects. If you have the horsepower to run with a high MSAA + AF or maybe DRS than you wouldn´t need to blur the image and than use sweetFX to sharpen it again.

Using a PP filter without chromatic aberration is a good start, too, I agree with the posts before me hinting at the NGM mod by Chris Kennedy over at RD.com.

It might help if you add your PC specs to your signature so that others can see what settings are possible with your hardware in the case of a question like this.

Thanks i will check the FXAA parameter.

I tried different PP filters and never been satisfied, i think the issue do not come from here.

  13. If you tried only built-in PP effects, everyone of them are blurry and bad looking if you ask me. I'll strongly recommend you to try 3rd party PP-mods ( like this one: http://www.racedepartment.com/downloads/natural-graphics-mod.4551/ ). You might be surprised how much better the game can look and you might also get a small performance boost. And the best thing is that it doesn't break any Kunos files so you don't lose anything if you doesn't like it.
