1. Do you need support for Assetto Corsa Competizione? Please use the proper forum below and ALWAYS zip and attach the WHOLE "Logs" folder in your c:\users\*youruser*\AppData\Local\AC2\Saved. The "AppData" folder is hidden by default, check "Hidden items" in your Windows view properties. If you report a crash, ALWAYS zip and attach the WHOLE "Crashes" folder in the same directory. Do not post "I have the same issue" in an existing thread with a game crash, always open your own thread. Do not PM developers and staff members for personal troubleshooting and support.
  2. As part of our continuous maintenance and improvements to Assetto Corsa Competizione we will be releasing small updates on a regular basis during the esports season which might not go through the usual announcement process detailing the changes until a later version update where these changes will be listed retrospectively.
  3. If ACC doesn't start with an error or the executable is missing, please add your entire Steam directory to the exceptions in your antivirus software, run a Steam integrity check or reinstall the game altogether. Make sure you add the User/Documents/Assetto Corsa Competizione folder to your antivirus/Defender exceptions and exclude it from any file sharing app (GDrive, OneDrive or Dropbox)! The Corsair iCue software is also known to conflict with Input Device initialization, if the game does not start up and you have such devices, please try disabling the iCue software and try again. [file:unknown] [line: 95] secure crt: invalid error is a sign of antivirus interference, while [Pak chunk signing mismatch on chunk] indicates a corrupted installation that requires game file verification.
  4. When reporting an issue with saved games, please always zip and attach your entire User/Documents/Assetto Corsa Competizione/Savegame folder, along with the logs and the crash folder (when reporting related to a crash).

  1. I did not bash the OP or anyone's driving skill o_O I just pointed out the minute people criticise the physics of assetto they use forza or GT as an example of a sim..

    You don't get it heh...
You are on my ignore list from day one, and I'm only reading your posts if I'm bored as hell...
Until you have something worth reading to say....
    But that's unlikely...

That's not how most would interpret that 'console players' remark. Kinda sounds like you're being condescending to me. Really looks like it actually.
Try answering my questions with that AC knowledge you have, they're actual questions for people who might know or the devs specifically who will know...Otherwise move along because you haven't helped one bit.

  4. LOL at the guy using auto-clutch bragging about his 'skills'.....

How does auto clutch work with my G29 and shifter?

FYI once again any deliberate pointless posts are being reported, answer my questions or move along as they are extremely relevant to this issue Ace, Michael, Untrained.

I am not sure it's a physics thing, I just have no sense of connection with car, no real idea of what the rear of the car is doing or going to do (other than spin the rears if it hits full boost at the wrong time). I am literally guessing about grip levels. I am making corrections based on visual and aural information rather than feedback through the wheel, in the F40 that is usually too late to catch it.

The P1 is worse still as I don't really know what the front end is doing either.

In have my FFB relatively light at 30% and the multipliers / effects set to zero.

I'll have a play with the slip setting in the advanced FFB options and see if that adds anything.

  7. The same way that forcing ABS works on the F40....what is your point, and even better, what the hell does it have to do with the OP of this thread?

If what you say is correct then I should be able to turn auto clutch on and shift the F40 without touching my clutch pedal correct?

Ok, Michael's response on you was a bit harsh. But given the history of this thread...;)
I know you consoleros have no way to see your ffb clipping.
    But you can feel it!
Test drive each car on Nordschleife, and if your ffb settings feel dead at the compression at Fuchsröhre your settings are way to high! Adjust it accordingly for THAT corner, and you should be good for all occasions!
    Have fun!

Are you talking about road cars or race cars when you talk about paddle shifter cars stalling? Shouldn´t happen with road cars as they are not sequential but automatic, automated manuals or DSGs, which don´t feature a clutch pedal. This happened on the PC version until a few patches ago, that these cars can stall. If this is not built into the console version yet, it´ll most likely get in soon. It only affects the vehicles launch, though.

With sequential gearbox equipped race cars you still need the clutch to launch the car, so the car should stall if you engage a gear without pressing the clutch.

Can´t you do that in SP? Do you have a "Adjust driver assistance based on controller settings" option in your settings? You´d need to turn that off than, as the game obviously expects people using an H-Shifter to use their clutch pedal if they have one configured. If that setting does not exist, it might be worth a suggestion to add this.

FYI you're talking to someone probably already way faster than you on his/her console than you on pc just so you know.

The R35 Nismo is my prime example stalling from neutral to first, though literally everything stalls if no throttle is applied in gear(obviously manual stick cars do and should).

Using auto clutch on the F40 in any game mode makes it miss gears unless 0% throttle is applied and using auto clutch and auto blip together in the F40 makes it miss gears almost 100% of the time, it basically breaks the h shifters config/sends it haywire somehow.
