1. Do you need support for Assetto Corsa Competizione? Please use the proper forum below and ALWAYS zip and attach the WHOLE "Logs" folder in your c:\users\*youruser*\AppData\Local\AC2\Saved. The "AppData" folder is hidden by default, check "Hidden items" in your Windows view properties. If you report a crash, ALWAYS zip and attach the WHOLE "Crashes" folder in the same directory. Do not post "I have the same issue" in an existing thread with a game crash, always open your own thread. Do not PM developers and staff members for personal troubleshooting and support.
  2. As part of our continuous maintenance and improvements to Assetto Corsa Competizione we will be releasing small updates on a regular basis during the esports season which might not go through the usual announcement process detailing the changes until a later version update where these changes will be listed retrospectively.
  3. If ACC doesn't start with an error or the executable is missing, please add your entire Steam directory to the exceptions in your antivirus software, run a Steam integrity check or reinstall the game altogether. Make sure you add the User/Documents/Assetto Corsa Competizione folder to your antivirus/Defender exceptions and exclude it from any file sharing app (GDrive, OneDrive or Dropbox)! The Corsair iCue software is also known to conflict with Input Device initialization, if the game does not start up and you have such devices, please try disabling the iCue software and try again. [file:unknown] [line: 95] secure crt: invalid error is a sign of antivirus interference, while [Pak chunk signing mismatch on chunk] indicates a corrupted installation that requires game file verification.
  4. When reporting an issue with saved games, please always zip and attach your entire User/Documents/Assetto Corsa Competizione/Savegame folder, along with the logs and the crash folder (when reporting related to a crash).

Brake temps added to the tyre app?

As more cars have brake temperature added it would be nice to have a visual representation added so we can see what's happening.

Adding a changing color front and rear brake temp icon to the tyre app would be convenient.

For everybody who wants brake temps now, Sidekick has this feature.

Temps can be display permanent or only while braking as overlay. Values are green when in optimal range and have gradient colors above/below. (temp range for gradient can be set manual)

I'd rather prefer a separate app.
I'm using both Sidekick and the tyre app. It's good that Sidekick has this feature, but I find it rather irritating that it only shows the temps on braking.
Usually, in the braking zone and the track, my eyes are on the braking point rather than some app on the screen.

Instead I'd use a separate app which is basically a copy of the tyre app.
Just show if the brakes are cold (=blue), ok (=green) or overheating (=red). Similar to flat spots, fading could be indicated by flickering (which isn't really a feature I suspect but rather a consequence of the changing diameter).
It can show the absolute temperature of the brakes, but in contrast to the tyres, this can be omitted, in my opinion.
For the tyres the absolute temperature can be very important, for the brakes the range that is usable is usually relatively wide, so it's not that much of a big deal.

Brake temps can be displayed all the time too, just needs to be activated and selected. Displaying while braking is another option and I quite like it.
    Just FYI.
(Screen so clean now with Sidekick, Helicorsa and minimalistic ptracker. )

Yeah, but it's still tiny little numbers.

I agree, it's a nice option for people that want to have a minimalistic UI, but I'd prefer to have both a brake temps app and the normal tyre temp app.

I'd hope there be an official brake app much like the very good tyre temp app.

  8. You don't need an app to tell how much temperature the brakes have, enjoy the driving, feel the brakes, real drivers don't have such apps in the car.
The telemetry app shows the brake temperature though

  9. I'd like to see the brake temp info visible either in an app or on the dashboard in the Ferrari F1 cars - its something they definitely have access to and have to monitor.

The MoTeC display in GTR2 had a mode that showed the brake temps. I don't know if it was an identical replica of the real display, but it might be possible.

I suggested adding brake temp to the tyre app as I try to avoid having unnecessary stuff on screen.

A separate app would be OK also.
