The Challenge.

Track: Monza

Apologies, no screen shots for this one, due to laptop problems! Over to @iwanchek for the detail as he decided the combo for this week.

Ferrari FXX K is the ultimate power force in its own league. The unbelievable beauty of the outside, and the V12 in the inside makes this car unbelievably fast. Every detail is designed only for one purpose-Speed! This car got some serious speed, how much?! All of it!

How to describe this track in one word-fast!

This amazing track with few of the most iconic turns in racing world will completely test the maximum performance of the car and the driver as well. Speed, braking, precision and lots of concentration will be the key for a top spot. Every small error will result lost of time.

Please make sure you have the ambient temperature set correctly, I really don't like disallowing times!

Sunday February 19th - 22:00 GMT

How to take part!
To enter simply head into the game select Drive > Hotlap / Practice choose the Ferrari FXX K and head to Monza Make sure you setup the session using the settings detailed in this thread and hit the track!

You can run as many laps as you like and update your times as often as you like, its simple All Platforms are welcome, it is all about having fun and enjoying Assetto Corsa.

To submit a time, pause the game and select 'session' from the menu and screenshot this page or take a photo of your screen and post it in this thread - Note all the information from the screen is required including temperature.


Feel free to post video clips and share information in here as well, but without the session screen your time will not be included (placing the session screen in a video clip is acceptable).

You also need to state the time and your platform in the body of your post, this should be the first thing you do, the image should then be placed below the text. It would also be helpful to mark updated times with Improvement. This makes collating the results much easier.

There's a lot of room for improvement.
By the way, crappy choice @iwanchek, the MGU-K on this car is wonky. There's no settings for traction control, so you're left with whatever the factory decides. The brakes are underpowered for this car so you have to brake much earlier. And, finally, choosing a Ferrari on Monza, truly original. You really showed us all how much better you are at selecting the combos for this challenge.

My first try. Car is very nervous on the rear axle with full power and the pedal sucks the power out of the batteries like ... very quickly. Didn't drive this car a lot, it's a little too fast for my taste, but here is my first laptime. Wasted a bit of power on the straights, but i noticed it too late when i rendered the video. Should be online soon.

Just for the record; you don't have TC adjustment in the Porsche either but it's time that you learn how to drive a really proper car without the TC

I'm assuming you do realise that these kind of cars are actually designed to be used with assists?

 

I to, but Lady mentioned that this car is without any TC as the Porsche as well assists are bulit in those hard Zg-tech stuff that's under the bonnet. I've got that but Larry don't

Note you have to drive this car with the traction control as factory settings are requested

On console this means you are stuck with them them maximum...

At first I thought this car felt quite detached, as far as handling and response. But after a few laps I've realized that it is the opposite of detached and that feeling is the active aero. Seems to have amazing effect mid corner. The car really almost feels more like it's flying than driving through a med to high speed corner. It likes smmoooootthhh steering input b/c of this. I definitely noticed higher exit speeds when staying really smooth and conservative on steering through a corner as opposed to aggressive entry and catching with steering corrections. Whenever I had to make steering corrections I could swear I noticed the aero changing a bit to follow the steering correction input and unsettle and push the car. Learning a lot about this car and its' advanced Autobot technology. Very cool.

 

But you can't adjust the TC, the system was designed to be adjusted, and you can't on console.

Exactly, utterly ridiculous car to choose when console players will be at a disadvantage.
