1. Do you need support for Assetto Corsa Competizione? Please use the proper forum below and ALWAYS zip and attach the WHOLE "Logs" folder in your c:\users\*youruser*\AppData\Local\AC2\Saved. The "AppData" folder is hidden by default, check "Hidden items" in your Windows view properties. If you report a crash, ALWAYS zip and attach the WHOLE "Crashes" folder in the same directory. Do not post "I have the same issue" in an existing thread with a game crash, always open your own thread. Do not PM developers and staff members for personal troubleshooting and support.
  2. As part of our continuous maintenance and improvements to Assetto Corsa Competizione we will be releasing small updates on a regular basis during the esports season which might not go through the usual announcement process detailing the changes until a later version update where these changes will be listed retrospectively.
  3. If ACC doesn't start with an error or the executable is missing, please add your entire Steam directory to the exceptions in your antivirus software, run a Steam integrity check or reinstall the game altogether. Make sure you add the User/Documents/Assetto Corsa Competizione folder to your antivirus/Defender exceptions and exclude it from any file sharing app (GDrive, OneDrive or Dropbox)! The Corsair iCue software is also known to conflict with Input Device initialization, if the game does not start up and you have such devices, please try disabling the iCue software and try again. [file:unknown] [line: 95] secure crt: invalid error is a sign of antivirus interference, while [Pak chunk signing mismatch on chunk] indicates a corrupted installation that requires game file verification.
  4. When reporting an issue with saved games, please always zip and attach your entire User/Documents/Assetto Corsa Competizione/Savegame folder, along with the logs and the crash folder (when reporting related to a crash).

Realistic Behavior Automatic Gearbox

    Don't know if really discussed, but I want to know if there is a possibility to replicate the real automatic gearbox in game. I mean, actually it changes gear only when reaching the limiter, like a sport mode, but is it possibile with app or not to simulate the auto gear change due to throttle input? And also when you downshift on paddle to going manual and then on auto after few moments (I've tried s-tronic and it worked like this..).
    Just to have the pleasure of driving along lot of tracks, simulating a real driving cruise ^^ and enjoy the smoothness of real automatic gearbox.

    It's not forbidden :p I never drive on auto due to this fact, but remember also on console a lot of people use auto gearbox. Is good to have a real auto gearbox, to slower speed and faster reaction only when needed ^^ is there any mod?

    I don't think may sims actually did managed to make an accurate torque converter behavior. So I doubt it. It would be pretty simplistic.

    I've bought beamNG, a car physics simulator. It's not the best sim of course, still wip, but it works like as I said the automatic gearbox, and it's really nice ;)

    I think BeamNG did a good job - though I'm well aware its not a sim replacement, but a fun technical showcase nevertheless. Their engine thermals system is pretty cool too...

    Yes, I'm not talking about a complex system like that, just a throttle input's adaptive gearbox maybe ;)

    I'm temporarily out of shifter and so totally on automatic gearbox. To me upshifting is okay but downshifting only happens on low rpm and that often means coming out of the corner on wrong gear.
    This is ofcourse the result of the non dynamic downshift points

    I've played with gearboxes on mods, you can most certainly achieve something that feels like a proper automatic transmission by playing with the gas cutoff time and slip threshold.

    I'm sure combining that with some clutch settings and some luts you could easily model one. With 0 gas cuttoff time it feels like an automatic with one crazy shiftkit.

    i always go for auto gearbox in beam.ng just because no else done it like they did and its pretty fun.
