1. Do you need support for Assetto Corsa Competizione? Please use the proper forum below and ALWAYS zip and attach the WHOLE "Logs" folder in your c:\users\*youruser*\AppData\Local\AC2\Saved. The "AppData" folder is hidden by default, check "Hidden items" in your Windows view properties. If you report a crash, ALWAYS zip and attach the WHOLE "Crashes" folder in the same directory. Do not post "I have the same issue" in an existing thread with a game crash, always open your own thread. Do not PM developers and staff members for personal troubleshooting and support.
  2. As part of our continuous maintenance and improvements to Assetto Corsa Competizione we will be releasing small updates on a regular basis during the esports season which might not go through the usual announcement process detailing the changes until a later version update where these changes will be listed retrospectively.
  3. If ACC doesn't start with an error or the executable is missing, please add your entire Steam directory to the exceptions in your antivirus software, run a Steam integrity check or reinstall the game altogether. Make sure you add the User/Documents/Assetto Corsa Competizione folder to your antivirus/Defender exceptions and exclude it from any file sharing app (GDrive, OneDrive or Dropbox)! The Corsair iCue software is also known to conflict with Input Device initialization, if the game does not start up and you have such devices, please try disabling the iCue software and try again. [file:unknown] [line: 95] secure crt: invalid error is a sign of antivirus interference, while [Pak chunk signing mismatch on chunk] indicates a corrupted installation that requires game file verification.
  4. When reporting an issue with saved games, please always zip and attach your entire User/Documents/Assetto Corsa Competizione/Savegame folder, along with the logs and the crash folder (when reporting related to a crash).

  1. I thought the number of AC sales on PS4 and XBox One combined was close to a million??

Curious as to why it wasn't recorded at 60fps which looks crisper, atleast to my eyes. Perhaps recording it at 60fps would have made it more difficult to sync it with the real track video which was presumably recorded at 24 fps. Either way, nicely done. Very zen !

That can't be correct surely. If those are correct then even for PC those would be very disappointing numbers.

  4. For those that missed the post due to speculating about number of AC copies sold (for whatever reason), Aris posted a vid:

From the comments on the FB article:
    - Nice lap. I really struggle in the Huracan GT3, gotta try again. Whats your secret? [IMG];)
Aristotelis Vasilakos - It's not very easy because we are simulating the car from the start of 2016. The 2017 is more evolved. It has a bit less horsepower because of BoP but more and more balanced F/R downforce that make it faster in turns. Tyres are also better.

Anyway, I've made a setup that is not extreme, trying to match the team's directions and handling characteristics for a long race and accomodate 2 drivers. It’s not the perfect setup, it’s not the fastest, but will do the job I think. Lap was made with this setup, maybe it can help you too. https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/103005/lambo_aris_4.zip

So a Cayanne pulled a 285 ton Airbus A380 42 meters which is the world record.

My question is how many miles would a 917/30 pull one.

I know you probably aren't very serious, but a 917/30 probably couldn't pull it.

RWD, low weight, long gearing, no power on low revs: either it would do burnouts, stall or kill the clutch

@Brownninja97: The 917/30 would probably take off faster than the plane would.

What kind of record is that? If there's traction to get it moving it will move until they run out of road. :p

Tell that to the tens of thousands of active iRacing members. o_O :D

Is it really that many? The only number they have said is afaik active and inactive accounts.

Good point, not having AI is the main reason I have no interest in iRacing.:)
like many, I like to have the choice to decide on what I want to do. Since online and offline have their own set off issue, it is nice to be able to alternate. iRacing Online is arguably the best available, but you are still facing a lot of non perfect online drivers and the race you want to attend may or may not be available when you have the time for a little SIM driving.:D

Hard to nail down, ask 10 Internets and you'll get 10 different answers. A quick Google search returned several quotes saying 50,000 active members but none pointed to any verification of those numbers, which is why I left my comment vague. The point remains though, iRacing is very popular and probably has as many or more people online at any given moment than any other sim yet it's completely devoid of AI, so perhaps AI isn't as important as was suggested, at least not for everyone.

Have to remember that in iRacing you are "online" if you read forums. You left your browser tab open looks that you are online. Numbers of people who have car on the track is very different.

I have only couple of AI races in AC and those were more like testing mods. If racing game doesn't have anykind of storyline I don't see the point to race with AI.

Agree with the second part, but strongly disagree that non perfect online drivers are a problem. For me a big part of the fun is reading and avoiding the mistakes of others, it's a really good skill to have. Sure, on purpose wreckers are a different story, but in hundreds of hours racing online in AC I've seen that only a handful of times. I think only having perfect drivers would be boring, hence why people ask for AI's making mistakes too.

If by mistake you mean slightly missing a breaking point or not accelerating soon enough, I agree with you and would also like to see the AI be a little less predictable.
If the mistake you are referring to is the way online driver usually behave, then I don't. The vast majority of SIM driver are erratic and iRacing is no exception, and in that case I will take AI consistent over online usual mess.
As for having fun dodging the usual online lunatic, good for you but no fun for me. It is understood that most of the time it is unintentional which for me makes it even more sad.
Definitely would rather see more contain driving and less apologies for driving over their abilities.
