1. Do you need support for Assetto Corsa Competizione? Please use the proper forum below and ALWAYS zip and attach the WHOLE "Logs" folder in your c:\users\*youruser*\AppData\Local\AC2\Saved. The "AppData" folder is hidden by default, check "Hidden items" in your Windows view properties. If you report a crash, ALWAYS zip and attach the WHOLE "Crashes" folder in the same directory. Do not post "I have the same issue" in an existing thread with a game crash, always open your own thread. Do not PM developers and staff members for personal troubleshooting and support.
  2. As part of our continuous maintenance and improvements to Assetto Corsa Competizione we will be releasing small updates on a regular basis during the esports season which might not go through the usual announcement process detailing the changes until a later version update where these changes will be listed retrospectively.
  3. If ACC doesn't start with an error or the executable is missing, please add your entire Steam directory to the exceptions in your antivirus software, run a Steam integrity check or reinstall the game altogether. Make sure you add the User/Documents/Assetto Corsa Competizione folder to your antivirus/Defender exceptions and exclude it from any file sharing app (GDrive, OneDrive or Dropbox)! The Corsair iCue software is also known to conflict with Input Device initialization, if the game does not start up and you have such devices, please try disabling the iCue software and try again. [file:unknown] [line: 95] secure crt: invalid error is a sign of antivirus interference, while [Pak chunk signing mismatch on chunk] indicates a corrupted installation that requires game file verification.
  4. When reporting an issue with saved games, please always zip and attach your entire User/Documents/Assetto Corsa Competizione/Savegame folder, along with the logs and the crash folder (when reporting related to a crash).

    Hello gamers!
This week we want to give those of you who use controllers and gamepads to enjoy Assetto Corsa a place to voice your opinion. Often we receive messages requesting improved support for the aforementioned devices so in an effort to better organize this information we are creating a dedicated thread in the Assetto Corsa support forums. We want to know what preferences or driving assists you feel need improvement or implementation to help you get the most out of your driving experience in Assetto Corsa.

In order to get a better experience with gamepads, we recommend to activate the following driving assists:
    - stability control (50% or more)
    - automatic throttle blip
    - traction control

We suggest you to try these settings before to post your feedback and suggestions.

You can join the discussion completing the following information:

    1. your gamepad model (brand, type)

    2. in the Assetto Corsa gamepad options, do you use default settings? Yes / no

    3. if you use customized gamepad settings, please list your values for:

I don't really have any suggestions. For me it works perfectly right off the bat and I enjoy it as it is, I don't have to change anything and it feels perfect.

One of the best aspects about it is the way I can catch the car without the controller being overly sensitive as in other games. The sensitivity at default for steering and throttle is great and allows me to have excellent control of both.

Bought F1 codemasters. Just before this. Meh crap. Hardly played.

Sometimes found not enough lock because of speed sensitivity. Or does another one also affect that as well?

Just a suggestion. Maybe have a curve for speed setting. Like photoshop Curve.

Biggest prblem would be trying to get config right.
Coming out of the game to twiddle 1 setting to go back and test is a pain.
So not really done it that much.

Controller was quite difficult to get to my "taste" although I am quite happy about it now, however there is a fine line between turning circles and speed sensitivity, too much the car wont go anywhere near a corner and too little it just full locks into a slide, if you are harsh. I would like to see a slider for breaking force like the custom wheel has and possibly one for the throttle too. Also it seems that if you describe the pad as a custom wheel, it feels better but you loose rumble. Would also like a few sliders for rumbles like the wheels have as the controller just rumbles for everything and its hard to determine if it is bumps or traction or kerbs.
Very happy with controller though overall. Menu button linked to start button would be amazing as someone else pointed out.

6.a. It must be able to turn the wheels fully at low speed. This is something that the default settings just don't allow, and it makes the controller uncompetitive.
6.b. It should allow smooth turn-ins, even with the relatively small amount of X travel it has on the stick.
6.c. Lastly, it's probably just me, but I've had problems with countersteering with the 360 pad, where I end up flicking the stick to both sides and careening around.

Overall though, with these settings I've had a great time racing with the gampad.

(since build 6.0 it has a bug concerning the automatic upshift from 1st to 2nd gear. You can only overcome it by steering hard to left or right, otherwise it is stuck at the rev limiter in between both gears)
Also, the Ferrari P4/5 suffers under too low steering lock (depending on speed sensitivity, like JBK already mentionioned).
In Monzas first turn (S-Curve) for example, I have to slow it down to under 40 kph in order to keep it on the racing line.

    pressing it down: look back

Assetto Corsa is really the best PC-Sim I tried so far. With the settings I posted under point 3 I am able to keep all the already added cars almost entirely on the racing line.

    6. IMPORTANT:One thing that could be improved is the steering speed. When I set it too low the car goes crazy in corners, because the sterring wheel is turning too fast, but when I set it too high the cars have problems in slow and close corners, you will miss the apex and maybe go offtrack
