1. Do you need support for Assetto Corsa Competizione? Please use the proper forum below and ALWAYS zip and attach the WHOLE "Logs" folder in your c:\users\*youruser*\AppData\Local\AC2\Saved. The "AppData" folder is hidden by default, check "Hidden items" in your Windows view properties. If you report a crash, ALWAYS zip and attach the WHOLE "Crashes" folder in the same directory. Do not post "I have the same issue" in an existing thread with a game crash, always open your own thread. Do not PM developers and staff members for personal troubleshooting and support.
  2. As part of our continuous maintenance and improvements to Assetto Corsa Competizione we will be releasing small updates on a regular basis during the esports season which might not go through the usual announcement process detailing the changes until a later version update where these changes will be listed retrospectively.
  3. If ACC doesn't start with an error or the executable is missing, please add your entire Steam directory to the exceptions in your antivirus software, run a Steam integrity check or reinstall the game altogether. Make sure you add the User/Documents/Assetto Corsa Competizione folder to your antivirus/Defender exceptions and exclude it from any file sharing app (GDrive, OneDrive or Dropbox)! The Corsair iCue software is also known to conflict with Input Device initialization, if the game does not start up and you have such devices, please try disabling the iCue software and try again. [file:unknown] [line: 95] secure crt: invalid error is a sign of antivirus interference, while [Pak chunk signing mismatch on chunk] indicates a corrupted installation that requires game file verification.
  4. When reporting an issue with saved games, please always zip and attach your entire User/Documents/Assetto Corsa Competizione/Savegame folder, along with the logs and the crash folder (when reporting related to a crash).

Share you VR moment.

I got a DK2 two months after AC release. Now that I said that out loud, is that right? Did AC have vr support from the beginning? I know I'm on my third vr headset. Two DK2's and now a CV1 so it's been three years or more.

Anyhow I remember racing gocarts with cars on the Nordschleife years ago. The cars were faster sure but I could out corner them and then try not to get run over on the straights, what a rush in vr!!

Second VR moment of the week end, puech_arnal in the BMW M3 E30, some of the sceneries of that track in VR look real!

The you are there feeling is quite something. Don't forget to look back at the beautiful V12.:D

Just did Ford Focus RS MK2 Time Attack at Monte Erice Sicily/L1/Hill Climb/ beta v0.85 (SIM TRAXX), this a very nice combo and a tribute to what all those mod out there bring to AC.
Try it, you will not be disappointed.

Trying out things you never will be able to do in a real car (even less chance to do in a gt3 rs): Driving from the backseat!

I bumped into a thread, HERE, which explains that using Oculus VR with Open VR in AC yield better performance, I though I would share since VR is so hungry on performance.

  8. I've developed this habit of driving with my right hand on the wheel and the left elbow supported by the door/window.

The first time I tried VR I felt whoozy so I decided to try a slower car and went to Prato on the Fiat 500. Just driving slow and looking around. Spent the entire time going for the window/door and realising it wasn't there. Every time it happened it made me laugh out loud: "Oh right, this is a simulation."

Haha sound like you need to add a door to your rig to increase the tactile immersion

Having been racing in VR for quite some time, it's been a long time since I have had any of those "wow" moments but, PC2's dynamic weather has brought that back a bit. Driving at night in the rain while avoiding pooling water, managing the wipers, and struggling to see through spray kicked up from opponents car's is really convincing and adds a whole new dimension to virtual racing. :)

  11. I've had the rift for about 6 months and I love every aspect about it ( except the sweat and lines on forehead lol) . But today I ran the f2004 around monza and I loved it , you may think hhmm so what . But I detest monza and in vr I'm starting to really enjoy it . I think the biggest thing in vr is the way the tracks come to life , the elevation on the nurburgring gp just blew me away and made me love that track .

Similar experience here, after close to 600hours of VR those WOW moments are rare but had two back to back in PCars 2 over the weekend.

Keeping in mind that my graphics settings are very close to maxed with 1.6PPD (I'm ok with ASW)

Set up a private practice on nords that started at 5pm with a 25x time speed in clear weather. The sunset, turning to night with the stars and the moon out driving past lit up pit buildings and other details and then in to sunrise was pure magic. For those laps I was so hugely impressed that current tech can allow you to experience something that so few would otherwise experience.

The second one was the same thing but change weather to thunderstorm. The rain and flashes of lightning at night lighting up an otherwise mostly pitch black track was epic and quiet unnerving. Did that in an open wheel Caterham and also the Bentley GT3 car. Both of these were well and truly proper WOW moments

  13. Today on the nordschleife trying to get under 4.59 in the f2004 and overhead at fairly low altitide a hot air balloon , not the easiest trying to look at it whilst doing 180 mph lol . Vr is going to be magical in a few years time . :D
