1. Do you need support for Assetto Corsa Competizione? Please use the proper forum below and ALWAYS zip and attach the WHOLE "Logs" folder in your c:\users\*youruser*\AppData\Local\AC2\Saved. The "AppData" folder is hidden by default, check "Hidden items" in your Windows view properties. If you report a crash, ALWAYS zip and attach the WHOLE "Crashes" folder in the same directory. Do not post "I have the same issue" in an existing thread with a game crash, always open your own thread. Do not PM developers and staff members for personal troubleshooting and support.
  2. As part of our continuous maintenance and improvements to Assetto Corsa Competizione we will be releasing small updates on a regular basis during the esports season which might not go through the usual announcement process detailing the changes until a later version update where these changes will be listed retrospectively.
  3. If ACC doesn't start with an error or the executable is missing, please add your entire Steam directory to the exceptions in your antivirus software, run a Steam integrity check or reinstall the game altogether. Make sure you add the User/Documents/Assetto Corsa Competizione folder to your antivirus/Defender exceptions and exclude it from any file sharing app (GDrive, OneDrive or Dropbox)! The Corsair iCue software is also known to conflict with Input Device initialization, if the game does not start up and you have such devices, please try disabling the iCue software and try again. [file:unknown] [line: 95] secure crt: invalid error is a sign of antivirus interference, while [Pak chunk signing mismatch on chunk] indicates a corrupted installation that requires game file verification.
  4. When reporting an issue with saved games, please always zip and attach your entire User/Documents/Assetto Corsa Competizione/Savegame folder, along with the logs and the crash folder (when reporting related to a crash).

Why don't they call it Blancpain 2018 instead and release a new version every year; Blancpain 2019, etc, like the F1 series? Seems a more sustained business model.
Also every year they could transfer all the technology to the ACx series.

But why, if it's good? People drive mostly GT3 anyway, in current multiplayer. Most games aren't moddable you know. Still not all of them die away "really quick".

You can as well play ACC while waiting. Don't want it, skip and just wait, play something else. o_O

I can imagine ACC working on a similar style as the latest IL2 series.

IL2 - Battle of Stalingrad: bunch of planes and map, including scripted campaign
IL2 - Battle of Moscow: bunch of planes and map, including scripted campaign
IL2 - Battle of Kuban etc
    Extra DLC: more planes

Can play online using any of the maps, and with any of the planes, but only use the ones you've bought, and cant use the map/campaign single player.

ACC - Blancpain GT3: bunch of cars and tracks, including championship
ACC - V8 Supercars: bunch of cars and tracks, including championship
    Extra DLC: more cars

Can play online using any tracks, against anycars, but use only cars you own. Doesn't segregate the community as much, gives people a taste of the DLC, makes em want to buy. Everyones happy?

Just thinking out loud.. (ACC - V8 Supercars does sound good though :p)

Oh well. I was hoping they keep their options open for the future to expand the title as their platform for specific series and esports. But that subtitle is pretty clear.

Still leaves the door open for the Blancpain GT Series Asia, kind of?

And it brings up another question, which Blancpain GT season is ACC covering exactly (with a full release likely not before 2019)? Is it going to cover every season from now on or nothing specific?

ACC will represent the 2018 Blancpain season AFAIK

Yes, based on the current season, but not what the plans are for the future. Since it's 'ACC - the official Blancpain GT Series game' (like GTR that didn't focus on a single season) and not 'Blancpain GT 2018' (like F1 2017, FIFA 2018, etc.).

In AC you needed many cars because you didn't have much else to do. In ACC you have much more to play and re-play with fewer but specific content (I imagine, from how Kunos announced the game to be). So you're actually gaining in terms of gaming and you don't have to hop from car to car because you're bored for not doing anything meaningful besides hotlapping and pub racing sometimes. Take F1 games for examples, people don't need 1000 cars and tracks, because they have the game experience with specific content.

One of the most played games of all time, CSGO, what content does it have? Not that much really, but it offers meaningful game modes where you can play and re-play endlessly the game where only rarely you get bored. Same with other games such as Rocket League. Though these games are also helped by the customization of content, only visual though, not customization that affects the gameplay.

You are assuming there are plans that far into the future. And if there were I really doubt Kunos are going to tell you.

Both races belong to the Intercontinental GT challenge. The Suzuka 10h race has nothing to do with the Super GT season (although entrys from the GT300 class cars like Prius, Brz, GT8 and Lotus Evora are also eligible).
The PWC final will be held at Watkins Glen, the California 8h race is an additional race and doesn't count towards the PWC championship (Corvette takes part in PWC but isn't confirmed for the 8h race so far)
My guess is that Callaway is "just"doing the Suzuka 10h to present the car to the asian market.

I hope they keep the public servers open during race. Not having to wait 20 mins in pits for race to finish. At first i didnt like it. Booted up rf2 few times and just sitting in pits, so bored.

The 1000 km Suzuka was part of Super GT for the last decade, my bad for listing it as Super GT round. The California 8hr is listed on the PWC calendar. Neither has influence on the rest of what I wrote, with both being Intercontinental GT rounds, as is the Spa 24 - and if the Germany-based Callaway team can enter a race in Japan, they could just as well in Belgium, in the same championship...

Thats right, but keep in mind that Callaway Competition is a very small company without big budgets like the other GT3 manufacturers. They only sold one car in two years to a customer team in germany. The car is already well known in europe and will (hopefully) be recognized also in the US soon , so no need to "burn" more money there to catch customer's attention.

Id like an option for open or closed pits, also an option to allow people to go back on track after escaping to pits or to retire them from the session if pits are closed and they dont drive into the pits themselves.

This post has nothing to do with ACC and probably doesn't belong in this thread but Kunos should require the FIA Rallycross Championship as well.

    I can only dream, no?

It would be nice to know if the Blancpain official license will include also the Intercontinental GT Challenge:
    http://www.intercontinentalgtchallenge.com/
which is part of the Blancpain GT Series as well as Total 24hours SPA 70th Edition, aforementioned in the Community FAQ Blog:
"Add to this formula the 24 Hours of Spa-Francorchamps, and you get the best thrilling GT racing series ever".

I'd love to see these tracks :
1 Liqui Moly Bathurst 12 Hour , Australia Mount Panorama Circuit, Bathurst, Australia
2 Total 24 Hours of Spa , Belgium Circuit de Spa-Francorchamps, Stavelot, Belgium
3 Suzuka 10 Hours , Japan Suzuka Circuit, Suzuka, Japan
4 Mazda Raceway California 8 Hours , United States Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca, Monterey, United States
