1. Do you need support for Assetto Corsa Competizione? Please use the proper forum below and ALWAYS zip and attach the WHOLE "Logs" folder in your c:\users\*youruser*\AppData\Local\AC2\Saved. The "AppData" folder is hidden by default, check "Hidden items" in your Windows view properties. If you report a crash, ALWAYS zip and attach the WHOLE "Crashes" folder in the same directory. Do not post "I have the same issue" in an existing thread with a game crash, always open your own thread. Do not PM developers and staff members for personal troubleshooting and support.
  2. As part of our continuous maintenance and improvements to Assetto Corsa Competizione we will be releasing small updates on a regular basis during the esports season which might not go through the usual announcement process detailing the changes until a later version update where these changes will be listed retrospectively.
  3. If ACC doesn't start with an error or the executable is missing, please add your entire Steam directory to the exceptions in your antivirus software, run a Steam integrity check or reinstall the game altogether. Make sure you add the User/Documents/Assetto Corsa Competizione folder to your antivirus/Defender exceptions and exclude it from any file sharing app (GDrive, OneDrive or Dropbox)! The Corsair iCue software is also known to conflict with Input Device initialization, if the game does not start up and you have such devices, please try disabling the iCue software and try again. [file:unknown] [line: 95] secure crt: invalid error is a sign of antivirus interference, while [Pak chunk signing mismatch on chunk] indicates a corrupted installation that requires game file verification.
  4. When reporting an issue with saved games, please always zip and attach your entire User/Documents/Assetto Corsa Competizione/Savegame folder, along with the logs and the crash folder (when reporting related to a crash).

Official leaderboards / hotlap rankings request

So I saw that supposedly we'll get "Official leaderboards (basically RSR inside the game)" system, which is great news.

Hopefully it'll avoid the mistake of RSR (and I really liked RSR, it's been a great addition to AC), where they ended up allowing times set in any session or conditions and it became an arms race to see who could find the most favorable track conditions to do the best time, and drove many serious users away in the process...

So, please make a fixed hotlap sesssion mode in game the same as AC with fixed weather / time of day / temps just for the leaderboards and ensure a level playing field with no silly arms race.

And the main reason I'm making this post, can we please have a seperate "Wet Hotlap" mode with a seperate results table in the rankings, I know I'll use it and I'm sure many others will too

    thank you :)

Please add the possibility to practice against ghost cars of other people in the rankings.

Not sure on this one. If this is a leaderboard and effectively a competition why should you see how someone else has done the time? Shouldn’t you work it out yourself?

This is something id like too, have leaderboard record laps be set in the exact same conditions for all. The other thing is they dont have to be optimal maybe an iteresting option could be to set conditions to match the real world qualy conditions from the last race at that track.

Keeping records of peoples best race laps etc would also be nice but for the actual record laps fixed conditions are really needed. This was probably the biggest downfall with RSR and as AC added things like wind and laps were able to be set in any session it was really hard to get a true look at where you stand.

The idea is to improve your skills by practicing against better times. F1 series had that and allowed me to progress beyond what I thought was possible. It was difficult/impossible to follow the fastest times but loading progressively faster ghosts can take you there.

If the idea is training then yes, but if the idea is competition then no

R3E has it and the leaderboard is a real competition. IRL drivers and their team can watch what others are doing (braking points, turning points, etc). I cannot consistently drive with a ghost, so I use it for one or two laps max, but that is enough to understand what I miss. Even though in 95% cases, I just see myself losing time tenth by tenth in every corner, it helps for the 5% where I got it a bit wrong in a single corner, just like I would irl by watching another guy lapping.

Could there be a separated leaderboard for players using the default car setup? (To see the driving skills without of the enginering skills)

Agree that a 'lap record' should be done in fixed conditions, I love RSR but do wish that Pro settings with correct shifter had priority over everything else.

And also agree it would be nice to have filters (like RSR) for wet laps, and default setups etc.

Not sure about ghost cars, that might make things a bit too easy and 'unrealistic'?

If the ghost car thing is an option possibly let the driver who sets the lap chose if to make it public or not

I would never use a ghost car as its distracting as heck. Possibility to view replays would be better, hotlaps really shouldn't be any secret and viewing replays makes it easy to see if something fishy is going on.

A basic speed trace comparison like in ptracker would also be cool along with an overview of the line used on a track map being able to compare but higher detail then what ptracler offers.

Another cool option would be to have the option to set any lap as a reference delta. This can be done in real racing betweem team mates easily and possibly F1 with their gps tracking it would be possible to set any other cars or at least sector splits.

Possibly full delta and ghost laps should be available to opt out of but also option to share a setup would be nice kind of like an ingame setup market.

Yep main thing I didn't like about RSR.. the conditions weren't same for everyone. Maybe have 2 series, free setup and default setup. Everything else static like air temp, tyre warmers, assists, rubbered track... always same, if you choose a Hotlap mode

Don't think ghosts of others should be visible. They worked their lines and put the time in.... everyone should do their own work. Racing against own ghost yes, others no. Imo. Yes real drivers can see how others raced.. so go into YouTube and look at some good lap made in the game. Or go into MP server and see how others do their laps. But why allow leeching on other people's work by copying their lines, instead actually learning something yourself

Having many categories like "wet hotlap" "no traction control" might be cool but then it would be less competition per category. Although, with just official GT3 cars and not 170+ cars there would be probably plenty of times in every category.

Ideally I'd like to see the implementation of a "Championship Mode" with a fixed set of conditions that quality for the inclusion in this mode. I'm talking about the usual stuff of track parameters, time of day and running the car via it's "real" setup in terms of transmission, ABS, TC etc. Beyond that, being able to sort via a wide variety of other parameters such as tire choice, track grip levels, , transmission options, driving aids etc. should be more than enough to keep everyone happy. Within this Championship Mode I'd like to see several different ranking categories for us to compete in such as:

    The Ultimate Leader:
Highest Average Weighted Ranking (min. X combinations + weightings applied to your results based on how popular the combinations you choose are)

    Others:
Highest Average Ranking Overall (min. X combinations)
    Most Combinations
    Most 1st's
    Most Top Tens
    Most Laps Overall

    ....etc.

IMO highlighting a Championship Mode will likely encourage the most participation with that set of parameters but the inclusion of various overall leaderboards gives us all something to shoot for or measure against.
