1. Do you need support for Assetto Corsa Competizione? Please use the proper forum below and ALWAYS zip and attach the WHOLE "Logs" folder in your c:\users\*youruser*\AppData\Local\AC2\Saved. The "AppData" folder is hidden by default, check "Hidden items" in your Windows view properties. If you report a crash, ALWAYS zip and attach the WHOLE "Crashes" folder in the same directory. Do not post "I have the same issue" in an existing thread with a game crash, always open your own thread. Do not PM developers and staff members for personal troubleshooting and support.
  2. As part of our continuous maintenance and improvements to Assetto Corsa Competizione we will be releasing small updates on a regular basis during the esports season which might not go through the usual announcement process detailing the changes until a later version update where these changes will be listed retrospectively.
  3. If ACC doesn't start with an error or the executable is missing, please add your entire Steam directory to the exceptions in your antivirus software, run a Steam integrity check or reinstall the game altogether. Make sure you add the User/Documents/Assetto Corsa Competizione folder to your antivirus/Defender exceptions and exclude it from any file sharing app (GDrive, OneDrive or Dropbox)! The Corsair iCue software is also known to conflict with Input Device initialization, if the game does not start up and you have such devices, please try disabling the iCue software and try again. [file:unknown] [line: 95] secure crt: invalid error is a sign of antivirus interference, while [Pak chunk signing mismatch on chunk] indicates a corrupted installation that requires game file verification.
  4. When reporting an issue with saved games, please always zip and attach your entire User/Documents/Assetto Corsa Competizione/Savegame folder, along with the logs and the crash folder (when reporting related to a crash).

    Hello.
One thing crossed my mind,Im really used to python apps in ac. What will ACC have, will hud be like in PC or other sims? Becouse i think python is great. There is some flaws i noticed using some apps what ended crashing one or other app if both enabled.
What u guys think about that?
    Sorry for bad grammar.

It's great as a system, but Sidekick app takes lot less space with most of useful info, compared to using stock AC apps. App system is nice but I wouldn't be opposed to a fixed HUD, with some options like minimal, off, full telemetry etc. It would be console compatible later, which I think has been a design principle for ACC

Well, I think the Dev's said that they are focusing all their efforts for PC, and maybe consider console at a later date.
For years I was telling people about python apps because for me, I think every game ever should have that ability now.
Plus, there are console games like Little Big Planet that utilized context menu's in a similar way, so I can't see it being impossible.

They've also said the UI will be made console compatible from the start, and mouse won't be required for same reason. HUD is kind of part of it. They said they don't want to end up in same situation again, where they need to later redesign UI for consoles, like happened with AC. So everything can be navigated with a wheel/gamepad (mouse support will be very likely in too, though)

I use sidekick for long. What will I personaly miss from python is custamization.
Just hope ACC will have some HUD options, like offset X-Y and size.

I'm hoping they go for something like crewchief and apps become less necessary. Ideally VR users should be able to drive the car and display the same information a real driver would get in the same way as the driver would see it in the real car, IE: on the wheel or through their radio.

Having said that I'm really going to miss something like the tyre app, I'm not an alien who can just feel what temp the tyres are at (although maybe I'm using the tyre app as a crutch) and use it to set basics like tyre pressure and minor suspension/alignment adjustments. Come to think of it, I only ever really used the tyre app.

Losing apps is big, so I'd assume they've got a good way to replace it.

Hiring Minolin was a great move. But I kind of wish CrewChief by @Jim Britton was integrated/bought from him/something something. Because CC has been constantly worked and polished with often weekly updates, to a level of total immersion. Creating something like that must have been an enormous task. Speech recognition, all the voice lines it can say, like naming various corners in even mod tracks. CC is simply insane app, makes Project Cars 2 default pit radio look like a joke. And makes many HUD stuff obsolete, and is way more immersive. I love how I can just ask CC what my tyre temps are, position, remaining time/laps, how much fuel etc. without taking my eyes off the track.. and it just tells me

It's absolutely necessary for VR to be able to have everything function without any screen overlays or other fake stuff (e.g. the red cube around the pit stall). You can almost get there in AC but only with a lot of work. At this point there's no excuse to not have a proper visual and audio experience available by default.

Totally agree with Turk and ShredatorFIN. Would love to see something like CC built in, but suspect that might be a bit of a tall order for v1.0. If CC can integrate with ACC I’d be more than happy.

While I don’t disagree that it would be nice to have the option to be overlay free, it does irk me when people present their personal, subjective opinions using terms like “absolutely necessary” and “proper”.
