1. Do you need support for Assetto Corsa Competizione? Please use the proper forum below and ALWAYS zip and attach the WHOLE "Logs" folder in your c:\users\*youruser*\AppData\Local\AC2\Saved. The "AppData" folder is hidden by default, check "Hidden items" in your Windows view properties. If you report a crash, ALWAYS zip and attach the WHOLE "Crashes" folder in the same directory. Do not post "I have the same issue" in an existing thread with a game crash, always open your own thread. Do not PM developers and staff members for personal troubleshooting and support.
  2. As part of our continuous maintenance and improvements to Assetto Corsa Competizione we will be releasing small updates on a regular basis during the esports season which might not go through the usual announcement process detailing the changes until a later version update where these changes will be listed retrospectively.
  3. If ACC doesn't start with an error or the executable is missing, please add your entire Steam directory to the exceptions in your antivirus software, run a Steam integrity check or reinstall the game altogether. Make sure you add the User/Documents/Assetto Corsa Competizione folder to your antivirus/Defender exceptions and exclude it from any file sharing app (GDrive, OneDrive or Dropbox)! The Corsair iCue software is also known to conflict with Input Device initialization, if the game does not start up and you have such devices, please try disabling the iCue software and try again. [file:unknown] [line: 95] secure crt: invalid error is a sign of antivirus interference, while [Pak chunk signing mismatch on chunk] indicates a corrupted installation that requires game file verification.
  4. When reporting an issue with saved games, please always zip and attach your entire User/Documents/Assetto Corsa Competizione/Savegame folder, along with the logs and the crash folder (when reporting related to a crash).

ACC: Built In Livery Creator/Editor

Will we be able to create our own livery with a built in livery editor?

I'm not asking for it when the game is released if it's not there. But can it be part of a future update?

Marco mentioned in an interview somewhere, that they're wanted for custom liveries as well, but don't expect it in early access though. Nothing confirmed.

I'm sure they also mentioned that there was a build in system so custom liveries were seen by other players online without having to download them manually.

Let's hope it does not create a big lagging time when someone joins a server ^^

  6. Hmm, let me think... which game used a low poly placeholder in such cases to load an existing skin when being back at the pits? 13 years ago? ;)

    Oh yes, rFactor

  8. YESS, some things could be that easy :), and then (because a new product has to be better than an old one):

Build in torrent technology, all used skins at a server could be stored in the windows temp directory (or a dedicated temp folder within the steam path). For the moaners place a checkbox in the settings where this will be allowed or not. If being already at the server, the later joined drivers shall get a placeholder skin and car and when the driver gets back to the pits all stuff can be loaded. No coder can tell me that this is difficult. :p It is just work to do.

IMO tires compliment a livery like a tie compliments a suite (IE Sidewall lettering, etc). However, I would like to know what tires are permissible?
    Pirelli, Michelin, Yokohama, Continental, other?

Have none of you ever skinned in AC? I am sure it will be the same.

IIRC, in the Reec Department interview, they said the livery editor will be similar to the ones in Grid and Dirt. Do there'll be set designs and sponsors that you can choose

You could just get a white livery until the session ends, in case you join mid session.

Considering it's on a different engine and probably without the file structure and access as in AC I would say it's probably not the same.

And I thought this thread was about a built-in livery editor - which from what I recall is planned and should work online.

Livery editor indeed planned, mentioned in RD video interviews. You choose from in-game stickers, ads, and probably how you want to place them. But no totally own image files. This way no data will move other than coordinates for stickers, so will be fast online. That's how I understood it anyway

Paying loads of money to get the official license with liveries then going custom is a no no unless u want to lose the license and pay even more in penalties. However, if the custom liveries was written and agreed when the deal was made then it is just timing question.

Wow, you really don't have the slightest clue about licensing  I'm glad that doesn't stop you from posting though.
