1. Do you need support for Assetto Corsa Competizione? Please use the proper forum below and ALWAYS zip and attach the WHOLE "Logs" folder in your c:\users\*youruser*\AppData\Local\AC2\Saved. The "AppData" folder is hidden by default, check "Hidden items" in your Windows view properties. If you report a crash, ALWAYS zip and attach the WHOLE "Crashes" folder in the same directory. Do not post "I have the same issue" in an existing thread with a game crash, always open your own thread. Do not PM developers and staff members for personal troubleshooting and support.
  2. As part of our continuous maintenance and improvements to Assetto Corsa Competizione we will be releasing small updates on a regular basis during the esports season which might not go through the usual announcement process detailing the changes until a later version update where these changes will be listed retrospectively.
  3. If ACC doesn't start with an error or the executable is missing, please add your entire Steam directory to the exceptions in your antivirus software, run a Steam integrity check or reinstall the game altogether. Make sure you add the User/Documents/Assetto Corsa Competizione folder to your antivirus/Defender exceptions and exclude it from any file sharing app (GDrive, OneDrive or Dropbox)! The Corsair iCue software is also known to conflict with Input Device initialization, if the game does not start up and you have such devices, please try disabling the iCue software and try again. [file:unknown] [line: 95] secure crt: invalid error is a sign of antivirus interference, while [Pak chunk signing mismatch on chunk] indicates a corrupted installation that requires game file verification.
  4. When reporting an issue with saved games, please always zip and attach your entire User/Documents/Assetto Corsa Competizione/Savegame folder, along with the logs and the crash folder (when reporting related to a crash).

Generic Weekly Hotlap #87 - Another one bites the dust

Welcome to the thread for the Weekly Hotlap #87 : Another one bites the dust
    The Challenge.

    Car: Maserati GranTurismo MC GT4
    Track: Nordschleife

    Assetto Corsa_5.jpg

    Assetto Corsa_4.jpg

Around 2012, Maserati launched the race spec GranTurismo MC for the Trofeo World Series, a one make championship for this model, but it didn't take much more time for Maserati to realize the MC was a very capable machine, so they decided to venture their model into the internacional racing scene. Thus, the GT4 version we currently have on AC was born, Heavily based on the Trofeo car (it even has a 99% identical aero pack), the GT4 is now the car in which many private teams compete in this series, the Maserati is equipped with a 4.7 liter naturally aspired V8 engine that generates around 430 bhp. Not the first car you would think when choosing a vehicle to do some racing (i know i never thought of it!) but trust me,you will be a fan after a couple of laps :)

    Assetto Corsa_3.jpg

With the summer reaching it's peak and warm temperatures inviting to go outside to the beach, i think a trip to the dunes of Zandvoort, with the ocean so close, would be very nice. Also, the track works well with GT cars. Its always a great feel to run smoothly around Rob Stolemakerbocht ;)

    The Rules.

    Mode: Hotlap
    Time of day: Free
    Ambient Temp: 26 Degrees
    Setup: Free
    Controller: Free
    Assists: Factory
    Stability: Free

If it isn't mentioned here then assume the setting is free.

Please make sure you have the ambient temperature set correctly, and that you are in hotlap mode, I really don't like disallowing times!

    The Deadline.
    Sunday July 15th 2018 - 22:00 GMT.

    How to take part!
To enter simply head into the game select Drive > Hotlap and choose the Maserati GranTurismo MC GT4 and head to Zandvoort. Make sure you setup the session using the settings detailed in this thread and hit the track!

You can run as many laps as you like and update your times as often as you like, its simple :) All Platforms are welcome, it is all about having fun and enjoying Assetto Corsa.

To submit a time, pause the game and select 'session' from the menu and screenshot this page or take a photo of your screen and post it in this thread - Note all the information from the screen is required including temperature, mode heading and of course the car being used!

Feel free to post video clips and share information in here as well, but without the session screen your time will not be included (placing the session screen in a video clip is acceptable).

You also need to state the time and your platform in the body of your post, this should be the first thing you do, the image should then be placed below the text. It would also be helpful to mark updated times with Improvement. This makes collating the results much easier. Also,to avoid mistakes on laptimes, please enter them with the format x.xx.xxx. This format makes it easier to work with Excell.
A leader board will be collated from time to time, this will keep everyone up to date on where they currently stand...Unfortunately editing of posts gets locked on this forum so this post will not be updated.

Feel free to use the unofficial leaderboard but remember you still need to include the session screen in this thread to be included in the results.

Good luck and have fun ;)

tried the special events with this car at red bull ring over months - struggled a lot with him in the past - so i knew what challenge he is at zandvoort - really careful driving is the key this week (if not - plz correct me!).

first try with stock setup and 30l.

what i really like - the tyres have no wear after 4 laps - you can do a lot of laps to learn this combo.

zandvoort has become one of my favourite tracks. so this would be a really nice challenge!!

    aris and zandvoort: :)

remembering this video i changed setup:
    tyres
    17 17 front
    18 20 rear
    tank 20l - 9 laps
    camber
    -3,5 -3,5 front
    -2,5 -2,5 rear
    stabi (dunno in englisch, sorry....)
    front 1
federrate (dunno in english too, sorry again...)
    107 front&rear
height so that 80 front and 104 rear
    bump
    front 2
    rear 6

the car is more forgiving and not so bumpy (in my opinion  - there is a lot of "feeling" - must not be the best way. i feel better ;))

hit the wall again, time to rest

edit: @BrainsBush oh! above is not the real reason why i am faster - i forgot one thing. turned the weather from hot to more realistic, typically weather in netherland..... s*h*i*t*t*y :p:p:p
    (only joking ;))

Zandvoort is one of my fav tracks. This car has too much downforce for my personal preference but still a worthwhile combo.
I used Matthieu Labbe’s tune for Redbull downloaded from the setup market. I adjusted psi to suit, and I lowered the brake bias 1 click to the rear.
