1. Do you need support for Assetto Corsa Competizione? Please use the proper forum below and ALWAYS zip and attach the WHOLE "Logs" folder in your c:\users\*youruser*\AppData\Local\AC2\Saved. The "AppData" folder is hidden by default, check "Hidden items" in your Windows view properties. If you report a crash, ALWAYS zip and attach the WHOLE "Crashes" folder in the same directory. Do not post "I have the same issue" in an existing thread with a game crash, always open your own thread. Do not PM developers and staff members for personal troubleshooting and support.
  2. As part of our continuous maintenance and improvements to Assetto Corsa Competizione we will be releasing small updates on a regular basis during the esports season which might not go through the usual announcement process detailing the changes until a later version update where these changes will be listed retrospectively.
  3. If ACC doesn't start with an error or the executable is missing, please add your entire Steam directory to the exceptions in your antivirus software, run a Steam integrity check or reinstall the game altogether. Make sure you add the User/Documents/Assetto Corsa Competizione folder to your antivirus/Defender exceptions and exclude it from any file sharing app (GDrive, OneDrive or Dropbox)! The Corsair iCue software is also known to conflict with Input Device initialization, if the game does not start up and you have such devices, please try disabling the iCue software and try again. [file:unknown] [line: 95] secure crt: invalid error is a sign of antivirus interference, while [Pak chunk signing mismatch on chunk] indicates a corrupted installation that requires game file verification.
  4. When reporting an issue with saved games, please always zip and attach your entire User/Documents/Assetto Corsa Competizione/Savegame folder, along with the logs and the crash folder (when reporting related to a crash).

Any sedan street cars in AC?

I may have the opportunity to go to VIR this fall but I won't be able to take my Cayman. It will have to be the A7. However, I have no idea how it might behave on track and I wondered if there might be a pretty much pure street sedan available I could try in the VIR mod in AC.

Yes, I could search thru all the available built-in marques and available mods but I am hoping somebody already knows.

Thanks. Panamera might be a possibility. I think the other two might be too "sporty." Even the Panamera may offer better handling than the A7 but it might be pretty close.

maserati is "the worst" here imo. I mean, it is a real sedan/limo. Panamera is fantastic, but maserati is closer to audi a7 imo

Thanks. Having never driven either I was going on the family relationship. However, I will give both a try.

Personally I would be looking for something with the same drivetrain; panamera and quattroporte are both RWD, I presume your A7 is Quattro or FWD? so won’t handle anything like any RWD car IMO.
Also for me the Giulia has the most stupid gear ratios in any simulated road car I have tried so probably is not comparable to anything else. Putting into 3rd after absolutely caning 2nd feels like you have jumped to 4th and have no power. Very weird car.

Panamera is also ridiculously, crazily, quick so probably not very comparable in that regard either.

  8. Panamera is AWD btw

Good point. So is the A7. I'll try it. I'm not looking to match my A7 just to get a feel for how a medium sized sedan might behave.

Well, the only Panamera in AC is the turbo which has about 550hp compared to my 330. So I took it around at about half throttle and found it to be incredibly stable. I wasn't stressing it at all. After several laps I decided to open it up just for fun and turned a lap 4 sec faster than the best I've done in the PDK Boxster. That's really amazing. What I did find is that if the A7 is anything like the Panamera it will be right at home at VIR.

Panamera Turbo and GT-R NISMO are the only modern sedan-sized road cars in AC with AWD. Both are well above the performance of an A7 though.

Well above the performance of my Cayman as well.

But at least you're getting some virtual track time and the feel for a heavy car on that track. :)

Not sure what exactly the calculations would have to be behind that, but what about adding restrictor to a fitting AC car to manually tune down the power?

It feels a little bit heavier but not really all that much. I might notice it more on the track. I'm still not quite getting it all from the sim.

Is there a way to do that?

  17. You are taking a land barge to a racetrack; might as well use the Cayenne.

May be a landbarge but a Cayenne or A7 is still going to be faster than a lot of older cars.

Thanks. I downloaded it. If I can back off the power a bit I may be able to get a better feel.

Actually, when the Cayenne first came out, I saw it at One Lap of America at BeaveRun [PIRC North Course]. It was turning some pretty competitive times. Could have been the driver.

Also, I discover the Panamera Turbo is faster than the 718 at VIR. The higher acceleration and speed more than compensates for the poorer cornering, at least in my hands. For some reason it also seems more stable . Maybe I'm just going slower.

From my point of view, anything close to 2 tons in AC would be interesting for you. But anyway, there are some differences boys mentioned above and after your first time in this a7 on this track you'll be surprised for sure, no matter what. But yea, it is obvious to everybody here i suppose. hf!
