1. Do you need support for Assetto Corsa Competizione? Please use the proper forum below and ALWAYS zip and attach the WHOLE "Logs" folder in your c:\users\*youruser*\AppData\Local\AC2\Saved. The "AppData" folder is hidden by default, check "Hidden items" in your Windows view properties. If you report a crash, ALWAYS zip and attach the WHOLE "Crashes" folder in the same directory. Do not post "I have the same issue" in an existing thread with a game crash, always open your own thread. Do not PM developers and staff members for personal troubleshooting and support.
  2. As part of our continuous maintenance and improvements to Assetto Corsa Competizione we will be releasing small updates on a regular basis during the esports season which might not go through the usual announcement process detailing the changes until a later version update where these changes will be listed retrospectively.
  3. If ACC doesn't start with an error or the executable is missing, please add your entire Steam directory to the exceptions in your antivirus software, run a Steam integrity check or reinstall the game altogether. Make sure you add the User/Documents/Assetto Corsa Competizione folder to your antivirus/Defender exceptions and exclude it from any file sharing app (GDrive, OneDrive or Dropbox)! The Corsair iCue software is also known to conflict with Input Device initialization, if the game does not start up and you have such devices, please try disabling the iCue software and try again. [file:unknown] [line: 95] secure crt: invalid error is a sign of antivirus interference, while [Pak chunk signing mismatch on chunk] indicates a corrupted installation that requires game file verification.
  4. When reporting an issue with saved games, please always zip and attach your entire User/Documents/Assetto Corsa Competizione/Savegame folder, along with the logs and the crash folder (when reporting related to a crash).

What's your normal pace?

Well when I first read this thread I was stuck at about 1:58 and didn't really know where to go, but after lowering slightly the FFB and graphics settings I am now lapping happily into 1:57's and PB of 1:55.9xx

  2. 1.58 1.59 with the pad, not even the Microsoft one . To be consistent with the pad is the most difficult thing. I think
I'm going to buy a steering wheel as soon as I can .
    Have you got any suggestion?
I think I can improve to 1.56 1.57 on the pace.
On the hot lap is even more difficult with the pad because you have not control of the wheel .
    Infact my best is 1.57.9
There i can improve a lot with a steering wheel .
I cannot wait to race . I have never been racing on line before. Just so excited .

  3. Of course with the pad I cannot race at good speed . Just too difficult. For me at least

    Hi Salvatore,

depends on your budget. The G29 is a good start, the T500RS is really good. And you can spend much more. ;)

Not sure what just happend but my times went up by a second or 2

Most of time seems to have been lost not trailbraking in corners
Went from 1.58.5 hotlap to wel in to the 1.56s

Race average went from 2 mins to a pb of 1.58.5 and an average to a max of 1.59
Holy **** this car starts to feel good

For me it's because I can't really feel the car/road/tyres, feel a bit like pcars2.

Fastest for me is low 2:00.xxx, and I'm good with that.

    Consistency is my focus.
I'm really only interested in endurance racing so I'll train for calm, clean, consistent laps without over driving the car or my abilities.

    Practice mode:
    PB: 1:58.5
    Avg: high 1:59
    That's with aggressive setup.

    Haven't tried hotlap yet.

    Hotlap:
PB 1:59,3, but could possibly go down to low 1:58's with the actual setup if I would get a good constant lap
    Avg: high 2:00's

Still struggling with FFB on the T500RS and still trying setups, so there is maybe room for improvement, but I have no idea how to go to low 1:55's or even less.

By the way, all the people than run low 1:55's or better: Do you all use Left-foot braking? As I'm not good at this I wonder if practicing this will help improve time far more than anything else.

I think left foot braking will always be faster.

It's just a myth. I use left foot braking and can't go under 2:00 :D

Try right foot braking then. :D

Actually left foot braking makes me 1-2 seconds slower , but I can imagine that it has advantages.
I wonder if anyone that changed from "regular" braking to left foot braking can tell how much there times advanced (maybe not in ACC but in AC).

Dunno, i never did right foot braking. As far as i'm concerned, it only has advantages - faster reaction, you can brake and hit the throttle at the same time, which helps you stabilize the car in some situation, and i find it more comfortable too. The only times i right foot brake is when i drive cars with H-shifter.

I'm not certain if anyone has a definitive answer on that, but from remembering discussions about Barrichello 10-15 years ago I believe Ferrari expected it could make a difference of up to 0.1 - 0.2 s per lap on some circuits for a F1 car.
This number may have been optimistic though.

I actually did switch from regular braking to left foot braking just to see if there's any difference and if I'm not totally imagining things, I might've been a bit faster. I don't have any actual data to back it up, but it just felt faster and more 'in-control.' Suppose it has to do with the fact that you don't have to shift your feet around.

Still finding my feet re: setup of both car and wheel, but ran a 1:58.725 PB in Hotlap. Tend to average around 1:59-2:00 but as I find my rhythm I expect both my average and PB to fall, maybe into around the 1:57's. Of course, it didn't save my best time on the leaderboard. :(

Shaved a tenth to 55.8 after reducing FFB further, still gets heavy when it should do so suppose it was clipping still. More detail and lighter about the centre and feels good.

Any chance we can get + and - bound to FFB adjustments on track please? Makes it so much earlier to get it dialled in if we don’t have to exit to main menu every time to adjust.

Left foot braking here in all cars with 2 pedals, makes catching it easier when trailing into a corner IMO, can get on the power earlier. Some cars it can be really useful to feather the throttle before coming off the brakes.
Heel toe of course plus some LFB in h shifter cars, I use the left foot when need to brake but not downshift and right foot when I need to use the clutch.
