Now with MFACTORY trans, LSD, Traction Bars, Bigger slicks, new EMS and antilag, boost by gear, etc it's still INSANE to drive even in 5th it's spins them all the way to 10,250rpm. ****s too insane, and I don't drive it on the street but my Driver does we go to krispy Kreme sometimes in it, just for ****s. We run race gas tho, costs a lot. $5-$7.50 per liter. Under full boost it burns about 16 liters in a mile. ROFL.

Elise is a fairly early S1, so 20 years old, I've owned it for 10 of those now. Its a Rover K-series, no brake servos or ABS, no traction control, and about 750kg. Only 118bhp currently but giving it a bit of a refresh soon so will get the head worked on to bring that up around 160bhp and free it up at higher revs.
The Evora and Vantage have both been pretty solid (touch wood).

The Vantage has the Performance Pack and Titanium Exhaust upgrades from Aston Martin, so sounds pretty epic.

I'm a Lotus man really, but the Vantage was my fathers and he'd have wanted me to get some enjoyment from it too.
My original plan was to get either a Ferrari 355 or an Exige V6, but then discovered we'd be needing rear seats, so Evora it was...

That's part of the motivation for keeping and running to be honest, there aren't really going to be many V12 naturally aspirated engines out there, so no way I'd pass up owning and using one at least for a couple years.

Sub-20mpg fuel economy with RON98 Super Unleaded does sting a bit though...

 

Here's my daily driver for nearly the last 10 years..... this was it just before it was shipped from Japan to the UK , been lowered since then and peppered with stone chips on the front.

 

Lovely, and a nice colour too. Would love an ITR DC2 personally, but wife says I'm not allowed any more cars.

 

Yeah wanted a DC2 aswell but was looking for something a bit newer as I just got rid of my '95 GPX FTO and before that had a '93 Prelude VTEC JDM

Prelude had a pretty nasty death, some old pensioner drove into while it was parked outside house ...

I still have them but don't have that CRZ anymore. That was the first CRZ with Buddy Club Coilovers and was the lowest static Hybrid at the time. Anyway, I love DC5's and so freaking jealous you can daily drive JDM cars over there man. It is a PIA to get them even into the States, let alone get them registered.

This is my daily... not far off on the Huracan in peak horsepower, just at a slight weight disadvantage

 

Not the fastest cat on the block but it's pretty comfy ride and there's enough legroom so it doesn't get cramped.

Indeed. As long as I manage to get myself through the door I can just sit back and relax. And hopefully remember to get off at the right stop.

 

Took the Max (Light Rail) to the wife's office the other day, made it a few stops before falling asleep and going about 10 stops past her office, and she was NOT impressed as we had a dinner date lol.

 

So I just rescued this barn find Jeep J3000 Gladiator and got it running and driving under its own power!



I am really stoked. Longstory short, this was my Gramps' and then Dad's, and then neighbors, but now mine, and my Oldest Son's I learned to drive on the farm in this, at a very young age, and will someday soon get to teach my son to drive in this very same truck. We had to tow it to one of my rentals (no room at Shop, Home, or Storage lol too many cars!), but it now runs and drives under its own power. My son LOVES this Jeep, and has already got to drive around the block in it. It needs a lot of work, no doubt, though it does have the good 327 V8 AMC Block. This is going to be a long, but fun project!




What about you guys? Any good barn finds or Deal-of-a-Lifetime Cars you got, or had? Anyone have the car they learned to drive in? Or a parents hand-me-down? BESIDES YOU @Thorburn Mister V12 - we all know about your awesaome sounding and super gorgeous Vantage Sir

Yet another make n model car we won't ever see here. We don't get any of the good hot hatches! So unfair. Least we got the CTR this time around. And the GT-R. I guess that's enough for me.
