1. Do you need support for Assetto Corsa Competizione? Please use the proper forum below and ALWAYS zip and attach the WHOLE "Logs" folder in your c:\users\*youruser*\AppData\Local\AC2\Saved. The "AppData" folder is hidden by default, check "Hidden items" in your Windows view properties. If you report a crash, ALWAYS zip and attach the WHOLE "Crashes" folder in the same directory. Do not post "I have the same issue" in an existing thread with a game crash, always open your own thread. Do not PM developers and staff members for personal troubleshooting and support.
  2. As part of our continuous maintenance and improvements to Assetto Corsa Competizione we will be releasing small updates on a regular basis during the esports season which might not go through the usual announcement process detailing the changes until a later version update where these changes will be listed retrospectively.
  3. If ACC doesn't start with an error or the executable is missing, please add your entire Steam directory to the exceptions in your antivirus software, run a Steam integrity check or reinstall the game altogether. Make sure you add the User/Documents/Assetto Corsa Competizione folder to your antivirus/Defender exceptions and exclude it from any file sharing app (GDrive, OneDrive or Dropbox)! The Corsair iCue software is also known to conflict with Input Device initialization, if the game does not start up and you have such devices, please try disabling the iCue software and try again. [file:unknown] [line: 95] secure crt: invalid error is a sign of antivirus interference, while [Pak chunk signing mismatch on chunk] indicates a corrupted installation that requires game file verification.
  4. When reporting an issue with saved games, please always zip and attach your entire User/Documents/Assetto Corsa Competizione/Savegame folder, along with the logs and the crash folder (when reporting related to a crash).

The app is also attached to that XGN post as well. Or can you not see the attachment on the post?

Yes, there is no attachment that I can see on the XGN post.
Thanks for your help with this.

If you could post the updated attachment here that would be great Wally?

Where or how did you determine that chart for optimal tire pressure & temps.
The list does not include the F330 P4! thanks!

I've been using this quite happily for a street car but I just started using a track car with slicks and I wonder if I am doing it right. It's been so long now I don't remember what I should be doing.

On the street car I was trying to get 35# in front and 36# in the rear hot and that's what I set the target to in the app. Then I would check actual pressures and over a session or two get a cold pressure that would build up to target for each track. That worked the way I thought it should. However, . . .

On the track car, the default cold pressure and the starting Tire Pressure Engineer target were the same, 17#! Over time the tires heat up to about 25#. At that point, the temp boxes are all green, but Tire Pressure Engineer is telling me to drop 8#. That just doesn't seem to be right. Shouldn't the TPE target be the desired hot pressure?

TPE targets the ideal (hot) pressure for that tyre compound, as defined in the car's physics files. Are you using an AC car, or a mod car?

Thanks. That's what I thought. I'm glad I WAS doing it correctly.

I'm using an AC car (Porsche GT4 Clubsport) but I may have fiddled with it at some point in the past and forgotten. However, I saved the ini file in my Downloads directory. It calls for 27# front an rear.

Regardless of the definition, I found a pound less in the rear made the car rotate better. Could be the way I drive. Anyhow, I'll set TPE to 27#F and 26#R and see what happens.

    Thanks again.

BTW, this may be lack of experience with this car, but so far my braking, turn in, apex and track out points for this car are almost exactly the same as for the 718. It is just way faster, 5sec or more per mile at this point. I wonder if that is typical of all cars or just Porsches or just these two cars. I wish I had more experience.

I use TPE all the time, but I just selected a Porsche GT4 street car and it didn't appear! It was selected but didn't show. Why?

OK. I'm doing something wrong. I just selected the Lambo GT3 at the Nurburgring GP circuit, same as ACC. The ini file I saved as reference says hot tire pressure should be 26#, but TPE fired up to the default pressure of 16#. I had to change TPE to 26# and increase the starting pressures to 20#. I don't mind doing this but it means checking the ini file every time I select a new car. Do I have it set up wrong?

The next time you see this, please zip and attach py_log.txt in your AC logs folder. There may be an error.

Here you go. I tried a Fiat 500 Abarth, which is a car I never used before. The default starting pressure seems to 16# all the way around and that is what TPE opened with.

The lower right corner of the TPE window shows a G measure, which I presume is grip but I haven't figured out exactly what it is showing or how to use it. I have noticed it doesn't seem to get as high as real cars on real tires but there could be any number of reasons for that. In particular, running street tires on Skid Pad 0.5 it never gets above 0.75 even though the car is at the point where it is starting to slide. The highest I've seen anywhere is 0.82. Real grip is in the 0.95-1.05 range.

Depending on what this is actually trying to show, semi-slicks might be closer to my street tires than AC's street tires are or maybe not.
