1. Do you need support for Assetto Corsa Competizione? Please use the proper forum below and ALWAYS zip and attach the WHOLE "Logs" folder in your c:\users\*youruser*\AppData\Local\AC2\Saved. The "AppData" folder is hidden by default, check "Hidden items" in your Windows view properties. If you report a crash, ALWAYS zip and attach the WHOLE "Crashes" folder in the same directory. Do not post "I have the same issue" in an existing thread with a game crash, always open your own thread. Do not PM developers and staff members for personal troubleshooting and support.
  2. As part of our continuous maintenance and improvements to Assetto Corsa Competizione we will be releasing small updates on a regular basis during the esports season which might not go through the usual announcement process detailing the changes until a later version update where these changes will be listed retrospectively.
  3. If ACC doesn't start with an error or the executable is missing, please add your entire Steam directory to the exceptions in your antivirus software, run a Steam integrity check or reinstall the game altogether. Make sure you add the User/Documents/Assetto Corsa Competizione folder to your antivirus/Defender exceptions and exclude it from any file sharing app (GDrive, OneDrive or Dropbox)! The Corsair iCue software is also known to conflict with Input Device initialization, if the game does not start up and you have such devices, please try disabling the iCue software and try again. [file:unknown] [line: 95] secure crt: invalid error is a sign of antivirus interference, while [Pak chunk signing mismatch on chunk] indicates a corrupted installation that requires game file verification.
  4. When reporting an issue with saved games, please always zip and attach your entire User/Documents/Assetto Corsa Competizione/Savegame folder, along with the logs and the crash folder (when reporting related to a crash).

There are definitely compromises in endurance race setups where drivers share a car, but since they tend to share a car for a long time that's probably not a big issue, I imagine they end up adapting their styles to each other. And it's one thing to say "Alright, this is the setup we're gonna use because it's the one that suits us three best for this race", and another thing to say "Alright, this is is the setup that everyone has to use if they want to prove they're fast in our simulator".

It makes sense for "hotlap" in "special events" to have fixed specific track/car/setup/rules/assists and separate leaderboard for that particular event. That doesn't mean there can't be another "special event" that allows custom setup. As I understand "Special events" won't be fixed and should be changed weekly/monthly.
Where as customized "hotlap" mode in "single player" menu can be more open mode for players to drive different cars/tracks/setups they want and also have separate leaderboard from "special events".

The global one is not active at the moment. To participate in the leaderboard events, start one of the first 3 special events

ahh yes I was a bit wondering about the CC too :) .. my PC is 99 (in hotlap and was in the hotstints too before the reset.. didn't made a hotstint since) and my CN is between 95 and 97 .. my CC however is on 71 or so at the moment... it startet with 96 or so .. and the more I drive.. and the faster and more consistend I get... the CC goes down more and more :D ... it got it's first real drop.. after I spun and reseted the event... it droped from something in the 90s.. to 80 or so... I got it then backup to 86... but did some restarts because of setup tests and got sometimes a bit messy... because of it.... it's now 71 or so like I said :D ... well.. I ended up stop careing about the CC .. since I know I have decent car control and pace and consistency is what I am more interested in :) my track rating is something just over 50 lol.. it just standed still at that rating... no jumps up or down.. I think it's 56 or so .. didn't moved in any direction

but it's still quite funny that I can drive lap after lap after lap.. at a quite decent pace... but the CC thinks I don't have a good car control :D ..
maybe it's the equivalent to a driving teacher or so ... as long as you drive gentle but not fast.. it's great driving.. but when you go fast.. it's too much for him as passenger :D and if the moment comes.. where you will make a mistake after 50 laps of hotlapping or so... it's like SEE I Told you !!

however minolin.. you made a great job with the ratings so far... and it helped even myself (who does simracing for 26 years now) .. to get more out of myself and get better... or at least to get faster on speed in ACC .. to adapt to it faster... then I would have without the ratings.. it feels like that at least
very good already... very interested into the next steps and features and ofcourse the multiplayer aspects.. looking very much forward to the future of ACC since this very first version is already amazing

I also think how it is now is the best solution for something like a leaderboard for hotlapping... because every lap fresh optimal tires and no fuel consumption means... everyone is realy dealing with the same exact conditions everytime.. for each lap... otherwise the leaderboard would be not as sharp as it is.. because you wouldn't know under which conditions which time is set... if it was a full tank or only a splash.. or if the tires where off or if they were on the optimum and so... now everyone deals with exactly the same.. for each lap... so you exactly know where you stand... what is more or less the reason for a leaderboard :)

and don't get it wrong.. I am totally for realistic conditions.. with all the dynamic effects.. at everything.. the more realistic it gets the better it is... but that's for races and such things... which will come :) ..

the leaderboard has nothing to do with actual racing... it's just how fast can you drive the lap (or stint) compared to others... and for that.. it should be as less variance in conditions as possible...

all the realistic dynamic stuff is for actual racing (everything..like practice sessions, qualyfing and the race itself ofcourse..belong to that... and even qualifying is a bit similar to hotlapping... it's still another beast... getting out at the right time.. have no traffic.. have a rubbered and clean track .. build the temperatures up to the optimum on the outlap.. and then nail that one perfect lap)... and I am very looking forward to that (not so much the qualy.. I hate qualy lol but the racing itself :D ) :)

One more thing. Please, in leaderboards, include also info of how many participants is there (absolute position/total, percentage, whatever...). Don't do the same mistake like many other games, that, for to me unknown reason, omit this information.

It's like geographic map without a scale. It is almost useless and the same applies here. If you don't know how many people participate, it doesn't matter what is your position in the leaderboard.

Your PC rating tells how many people you have passed, doesn't it ?

I don't think it will be per-leaderboard value.

I think currently it is per leaderboard but most likely will end up as an average for all PC ratings you have, at least per track.

Currenlty the PC rating is an average of the special events you've done. I did the hotlap and 8min hotstint and was in the mid 90s. I then started the 35min hotstint and when I completed the first lap my PC rating dropped to like 18 or something ridiculously low and would go up after each lap I completed.

I think it is per leaderboard.... since I had a differend pc rating depending which event I joined...

which would make sense.. since minolin already wrote in the initial post that.. it depends on how fast people are... and 100 is p1 ... so you would need differend pc for differend events.. since you can't compare a hotlap with a 35 minute stint for example

It would be nice to see the sectors time too...
To understand in which part of the track we are losing time in comparison with the best players.
