1. Do you need support for Assetto Corsa Competizione? Please use the proper forum below and ALWAYS zip and attach the WHOLE "Logs" folder in your c:\users\*youruser*\AppData\Local\AC2\Saved. The "AppData" folder is hidden by default, check "Hidden items" in your Windows view properties. If you report a crash, ALWAYS zip and attach the WHOLE "Crashes" folder in the same directory. Do not post "I have the same issue" in an existing thread with a game crash, always open your own thread. Do not PM developers and staff members for personal troubleshooting and support.
  2. As part of our continuous maintenance and improvements to Assetto Corsa Competizione we will be releasing small updates on a regular basis during the esports season which might not go through the usual announcement process detailing the changes until a later version update where these changes will be listed retrospectively.
  3. If ACC doesn't start with an error or the executable is missing, please add your entire Steam directory to the exceptions in your antivirus software, run a Steam integrity check or reinstall the game altogether. Make sure you add the User/Documents/Assetto Corsa Competizione folder to your antivirus/Defender exceptions and exclude it from any file sharing app (GDrive, OneDrive or Dropbox)! The Corsair iCue software is also known to conflict with Input Device initialization, if the game does not start up and you have such devices, please try disabling the iCue software and try again. [file:unknown] [line: 95] secure crt: invalid error is a sign of antivirus interference, while [Pak chunk signing mismatch on chunk] indicates a corrupted installation that requires game file verification.
  4. When reporting an issue with saved games, please always zip and attach your entire User/Documents/Assetto Corsa Competizione/Savegame folder, along with the logs and the crash folder (when reporting related to a crash).

Generic Weekly Hotlap Challenge #112 – Lots Of Thrills, Usually Sensational

Discussion in 'Console Lounge' started by Totall Wrytoff, Jan 21, 2019.

  1. Welcome to the thread for the Weekly Hotlap Challenge #112 – Lots Of Thrills, Usually Sensational

    The Challenge:
    Hotlap
    Car: Lotus Exos T125
    Track: Vallelunga Club
    upload_2019-1-20_22-57-39.png
    upload_2019-1-20_22-58-16.png
We’re staying in Italy this week, but heading 500km south to the home of Kunos, The ACI Vallelunga Circuit, Autodromo Piero Taruffi and we’re going to have a single-seater-on-slicks work-out around the short Club circuit, so recalibrate those synapses!

The Lotus Exos T125 is a mythical beast born of a bonkers marketing idea.
It was designed as the ultimate track day car for the private enthusiast by the now defunct Lotus Motorsport, in the days when the management lived with the fairies and Lotus stood for Lots Of Trouble, Usually Serious. Intended to be as close in performance to an F1 car as possible but without the need for a team of technicians and high maintenance, the T125 is powered by a Cosworth 3.5 litre GP V8 engine producing 640bhp linked to a six-speed, paddle shift, semi-automatic gearbox. It weighs 560kg according to press reports and 660kg according to Kunos.
In 2010 a select number of VIP Lotus customers got sent an invitation to an exclusive launch event. Lotus was hoping for 25 sales, apparently not even one deposit was received.
    upload_2019-1-20_22-59-34.png
This description from Lotus as to why the car is so named helps you get onto the wavelength of those who conceived the programme:

“Exos is for Exosphere, the earth’s outer atmosphere, where space begins and G-forces lessen, where atoms are on ballistic trajectories and the lightest gases including atomic oxygen reside.”

Reportedly only two prototypes were ever built, one in the weird blue and one in a JPS replica black and featured in a series of “Top Gear.”

This is only the second time, (I’m fairly certain) that we’ve used the Club Circuit at Vallelunga, the first being way back in WHC#9. The circuit is named after the Italian racing driver Pierino Taruffi who was born in 1906, started his first F1 race in his 40s and got his only win at the Swiss GP in 1952.

Recommended tyre pressure for the medium slicks is 24psi all round.

How to take part - Hot lap:
To enter, select Drive > Hotlap, choose the Lotus Exos T125 and the Vallelunga Club Circuit. Please setup the session using the settings below:

medium tyres, pressure lowered and more aero - this whl is about automatism - when you think you have to brake, accelerate, turn the wheel, than you are to late - something very different, but after 10 laps or so - fun fun fun ! :)
good choice @Totall Wrytoff - first i thought - what the heck?
    but its nice!!!!!:cool::cool:

  4. That's good to hear Sissydriver, thanks! I was intending to use a much lower powered car, but because my pedals weren't working when I was testing combis, it was just frustrating. So I tried the Exos and it was completely manic. As you say, you have to radically adjust your normal parameters for braking, turn in and acceleration. Thanks for your support:D

Getting onto the power through the bumpy exit of Viterbo, the first corner, is a knife edge of delight but it's so easy to spin it. Conversely, the awkwardly tight Tornantino corner (the one before the final chicane) is an agonising test of braking and patience. I haven't perfected either, although this lap felt quite good.
I think the cloudy day helped.

To be honest it's not a toy it's a beast.:) I bought it from Mifcom and it has the best GPU in it you can find. Nvidia Geforce RTX 2080 ti. I looked that I have enough SSD Capacity;)

    A few specs:

    Intel Core i7-8700K, 6x 3.70GHz

    ASUS Z370-A II, Intel Z370

    RTX 2080ti

    16GB DDR4-2666, Corsair LPX

    480GB Kingston A400 SSD

    2TB Seagate BarraCuda

The GPU is awesome. It can do Raytracing and DLSS (Deep Learning) when it someday exist games which can do that.
