1. Do you need support for Assetto Corsa Competizione? Please use the proper forum below and ALWAYS zip and attach the WHOLE "Logs" folder in your c:\users\*youruser*\AppData\Local\AC2\Saved. The "AppData" folder is hidden by default, check "Hidden items" in your Windows view properties. If you report a crash, ALWAYS zip and attach the WHOLE "Crashes" folder in the same directory. Do not post "I have the same issue" in an existing thread with a game crash, always open your own thread. Do not PM developers and staff members for personal troubleshooting and support.
  2. As part of our continuous maintenance and improvements to Assetto Corsa Competizione we will be releasing small updates on a regular basis during the esports season which might not go through the usual announcement process detailing the changes until a later version update where these changes will be listed retrospectively.
  3. If ACC doesn't start with an error or the executable is missing, please add your entire Steam directory to the exceptions in your antivirus software, run a Steam integrity check or reinstall the game altogether. Make sure you add the User/Documents/Assetto Corsa Competizione folder to your antivirus/Defender exceptions and exclude it from any file sharing app (GDrive, OneDrive or Dropbox)! The Corsair iCue software is also known to conflict with Input Device initialization, if the game does not start up and you have such devices, please try disabling the iCue software and try again. [file:unknown] [line: 95] secure crt: invalid error is a sign of antivirus interference, while [Pak chunk signing mismatch on chunk] indicates a corrupted installation that requires game file verification.
  4. When reporting an issue with saved games, please always zip and attach your entire User/Documents/Assetto Corsa Competizione/Savegame folder, along with the logs and the crash folder (when reporting related to a crash).

Generic Weekly Hotlap Challenge #119 – Seaside Holiday Hachi-Roku

Discussion in 'Console Lounge' started by Totall Wrytoff, Mar 10, 2019.

  1. Welcome to the thread for the Weekly Hotlap Challenge #119 – Seaside Holiday Hachi-Roku

This is also Round Two of the second mini-series “The Family Man,” which will run to the end of March and feature cars that I think would be good for ferrying the wife and kids whilst putting a smile on the face of Dad.

    The Challenge:
    Hotlap
    Car: Toyota AE86
    Track: Zandvoort
    upload_2019-3-10_21-33-53.png
    upload_2019-3-10_21-34-10.png
Not yet used in WHC, the Toyota AE86 Sprinter Trueno, to give its full name, is a much more modest family car than last week’s excess. This motor would have been an interesting choice for the family wheels between 1983 and 1986, although the kids would have to be small as there’s not much room in the back. It’s great to see the steering wheel is on the right side, the correct side of the car. :D
As part of the Corolla family, the name AE86 comes from the design code for the 1600cc front-engined, RWD model from the fifth generation of the Corolla. In Japan it is also called the Hachi-Roku, which means 86. It is powered by a fuel injected naturally aspirated, inline four cylinder, DOHC engine giving 128 bhp at 6,600 rpm and 110lb/ft (149Nm) of torque at 5,200 rpm in standard form. The AE86 came with a 5-speed manual gearbox or optional auto and an optional LSD. It weighs just 970kg.
The car, a tuner's delight, is now a manga star, a drift favourite and most of them now look like this.
    upload_2019-3-10_21-36-20.png
Summer holidays by the chilly North Sea for us this week, at Zandvoort in the Netherlands. It’s a famous old racing circuit, but there is a very interesting deadline coming up at the end of March and it’s nothing to do with Brexit. Have a read of this:

“In March 2019, it was confirmed that a letter of intent had been signed between Zandvoort and Formula One Management to stage the Dutch Grand Prix, but that it was dependent on private funding being secured to cover hosting the race. A deadline of March 31 2019 was set for a final decision to be made.”

I can’t see it happening but it would be fantastic, then carnarge!

So for this combi and I appreciate this might be more difficult for some members, imagine that it is summer holidays, you have briskly driven the wife and kids down to the beach in the “drive it like you stole it” holiday rental car and now you are on the way back to shade and cold lager. The target for the trip back is to halve the time taken on the way…
    Happy days.

The recommended pressure for both the Street 90s and Street tyres is 39psi all round, optimum temp range is narrow with a minTF of 75 and maxTF of 80.

How to take part - Hot lap:
To enter, select Drive > Hotlap, choose the Toyota AE86 and Zandvoort circuit. Please setup the session as shown below:
    Mode: Hotlap
    Time of day: Free
    Ambient Temp: 26 Degrees
    Setup: Free
    Controller: Free
    Assists: Free
    Stability: Free

To qualify for WHC you must have the ambient temp set to 26 DegC.

    Deadline: Sunday 17th March 2019 - 21:00 GMT.

You can run as many laps as you like and update your times as often as you like. It is all about taking part, testing yourself and enjoying Assetto Corsa. All Platforms are welcome.
To submit a time, pause the game and select 'session' from the menu and screenshot this page or take a photo of your screen and post it in this thread - Note all the information from the screen is required including temperature, mode heading and of course the car being used!
Please post video clips and share information in here as well, but without the session screen your time will not be included (placing the session screen in a video clip is acceptable).

Please use the following format to post your times:

Your time, to be shown as x.xx.xxx.
    Your platform (PC Xb1 PS4)
The image or screen shot showing your time.
    Your thoughts and comment

Please mark updated times with Improvement.

A leader board is collated regularly. Unfortunately editing of posts gets locked on this forum so this post cannot be updated.

From now on: Weekly Hotlap Challenge Championship League
    How it works:
    1. Enter the Weekly Hotlap Challenge as posted every Sunday evening and you will be automatically entered into the league table.
    2. Your ranking in the final standings, posted on Sunday evening, will earn you points, as follows:
    Place Points: 1st 14 2nd 13 3rd 12 4th 11 5th 10 6th 9 7th 8 8th 7 9th 6 10th 5
    3. Every player taking part in a WHC, but finishing outside the top 10 will get 4 points.
    4. Every player who is in the table, (ie has entered a previous WHC) but does not play that week will get three points each week.
    5. Players that join WHC after next week's WHC#114 will be awarded 3 points retrospectively for every WHC missed. For example, if you enter WHC for the first time at WHC#124, your name will be added to the table, with 27 points, plus whatever you score in WHC#124.
    6. Specialist Challenges will also feature throughout the season. These will be as monthly mini-series, for example Formula 1 February or Muscle Car Month, or nominated car types, for example the best driver in road cars. These events will be announced in the WHC Thread. The winner of each Specialist Challenge will receive 5 bonus points.

The updated Championship league table will be displayed in a new post in the Console Lounge each week.

At the end of the year, the WHC before Xmas week, the winners will be declared -
    * Championship podium
    * Specialist Challenge Winners
    * 1st place Contributor (the most Bonus points)
    * 1st place Loyal Lapper (who has entered most regularly, most often, if there is a draw, then Champ points)

I have a real soft spot for the 4AGE, my old MR2 had one back in my hair dresser days. Really nice little buzzing raspy engine. Mine was a bog standard NA but it still spat flames :p I think the AE86 is a great little drivers car in AC to, it might not be fast but it takes some finesse to keep it doing what you want (especially on st90's)
