1. Do you need support for Assetto Corsa Competizione? Please use the proper forum below and ALWAYS zip and attach the WHOLE "Logs" folder in your c:\users\*youruser*\AppData\Local\AC2\Saved. The "AppData" folder is hidden by default, check "Hidden items" in your Windows view properties. If you report a crash, ALWAYS zip and attach the WHOLE "Crashes" folder in the same directory. Do not post "I have the same issue" in an existing thread with a game crash, always open your own thread. Do not PM developers and staff members for personal troubleshooting and support.
  2. As part of our continuous maintenance and improvements to Assetto Corsa Competizione we will be releasing small updates on a regular basis during the esports season which might not go through the usual announcement process detailing the changes until a later version update where these changes will be listed retrospectively.
  3. If ACC doesn't start with an error or the executable is missing, please add your entire Steam directory to the exceptions in your antivirus software, run a Steam integrity check or reinstall the game altogether. Make sure you add the User/Documents/Assetto Corsa Competizione folder to your antivirus/Defender exceptions and exclude it from any file sharing app (GDrive, OneDrive or Dropbox)! The Corsair iCue software is also known to conflict with Input Device initialization, if the game does not start up and you have such devices, please try disabling the iCue software and try again. [file:unknown] [line: 95] secure crt: invalid error is a sign of antivirus interference, while [Pak chunk signing mismatch on chunk] indicates a corrupted installation that requires game file verification.
  4. When reporting an issue with saved games, please always zip and attach your entire User/Documents/Assetto Corsa Competizione/Savegame folder, along with the logs and the crash folder (when reporting related to a crash).

Generic Weekly Hotlap Challenge #151 – Register your interest…

  1. Welcome to the thread for the Weekly Hotlap Challenge #151 - Register your interest…

Quick reminder to all, please use the format prescribed below to post an entry.

    The Challenge: Hotlap
    Car: Lamborghini Huracan ST
    Track: Barcelona Moto

    upload_2019-10-26_18-20-1.png
A few weeks ago there was a request for a GT3 car from one of our fastest drivers. I’ve tried to go one better. The Lamborghini Super Trofeo is the fastest one-make racing series in the world, according to the manufacturer; “the ultimate challenge between the best drivers from around the world to decide the overall champion of Lamborghini Super Trofeo.”
This series is made up of four regional championships - North America, Europe, Middle East and Asia and culminates in a two round World Final, in which all the drivers in the three continental series fight for the title of Lamborghini World Champion. The finals are on at the moment, 24th and 27th October, at the Jerez de la Frontera circuit in Spain. (https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCO2SBo6hz0FewMjl6n5Md-Q or Motorsport.tv)
The Super Trofeo car is based on the Huracán LP 620-2. It is stripped out, fitted with lightweight carbon fibre bodywork and massive aero kit, a full roll cage, centre-lock alloys and slicks, racing wiring loom and electronics, racing steering wheel, a dash mounted TFT display and a ten setting traction control and Bosch Motorsport ABS system.
    upload_2019-10-26_18-23-9.png
The 5.2 litre V10 sends 620bhp and 420lb-ft of torque, to the rear wheels alone, through a new three-disc clutch and six-speed racing sequential gearbox. Tyres are bespoke, by Pirelli. Much more about those below.

You and I may enter this global racing competition. The website says, all you have to do is “Register your interest at your local Lamborghini Dealer.” If you have about £500k and are free for the year, go for it. Haha! it would be an amazing experience, to say the very least! If you don’t have the time or money, thank Kunos for AC!
    upload_2019-10-26_18-23-57.png
We haven’t got Jerez, so instead, we’re at the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya, as it became known in 2013. (I missed that rebrand.) It is one of Europe's busiest tracks, playing host to high profile rounds of F1, MotoGP and is the seasonal winter testing home for the F1 teams. Rather like Jerez, the circuit features a mix of fast and slow corners, a long straight and a variety of elevation changes.

Driving the ST around here is a bit of a balancing act. If you are not on the throttle through the corners, the back will step out viciously quickly. Too much power will also send the back out. In both cases, it is a very hard car to recover. Be accurate, brake in a straight line, turn in picking up the power smoothly and it all gets much easier and the car feels fast and faithful.

Tyres for the ST series are P-Zero DH slicks, described as “a competition only road tyre with smooth tread for dry or damp surfaces.” Smooth equals zero! We like a conversation about tyre pressure on the forum, here’s what Pirelli themselves has to say:
Working pressure values depend on the size of the tyre in relation to the load that it is subjected to. As the weight of the vehicle, the aerodynamic load, speed and acceleration increase, the working pressure must be increased. Generally speaking, “heated up” working pressures vary from 1.9 to 2.2 bar (27.5psi -32psi) for GT cars and 2.0 to 2.5 bar (29psi-23psi) for tourism (sic*) cars. Initial inflation pressures vary in order to obtain these values, depending on whether the tires are preheated or used “cold”. Indeed, preheated tyres can be inflated to lower values than cold tires. The difference may amount to 0.3 to 0.5 bar (4-7psi), depending on the type of heater, time and environment. Tyres should never be used below the minimum pressure value of 1.6 bar, (23psi.)
    (* Touring?)

Anyway recommended pressure for all versions of the slick tyre, in Assetto Corsa at least, is 27psi.

The RSR best time around Barcelona Moto is 1:45.191. I was nearly there on basic testing pace… so I think we’ll eclipse that!

  3. Thanks for your supporting comments, good to hear. Ego fully re-charged!

Regarding the administration, @gamma500, it certainly isn't a "PITA."
There is a simple template to update for the post and a spreadsheet showing use and frequency of cars and tracks, to help pick the combis. Choosing the combis each week enhances the game and it is rewarding when people say nice things! It could take one less than an hour per week.

I am coming up to a triple stint! I'm not walking away, I thought it is well past time to see who else wants a go. I would hope I'm not the only one with this level of enthusiasm!:) I'm happy to guide someone through the beginning, happy to alternate... is it only me that wants to do it?:D:D:D

Default setup is pretty good in this iirc, I don't think my base setup is far from that. Does take a particular style of driving though, well it's a Lambo what do you expect? Decent handling? :D

The lambo is just being unloaded from the truck as we speak... full marks to whoever polished it, looks shiny as fk!

I wasn't much around lately. So much to say. Totall, I completely understand and we cannot thank you enough for all those amazing challenges every week, no day off. I told you before I don't know how you do it. Unfortunately I wouldn't be able to help as I can't even find time to play lately.

I was thinking we could organise something simple to make sure we still compete every week and stay in touch. Not sure it will work but maybe everyone of us send a dream combo and that's our schedule for the next 20-30 weeks... first submitted is week 1. No blurb or anything to make it simple. No one can replace Totall for that anyway.. it will be just an amazing memory we can tell our grandchildrens..

The only problem would be to submit the challenge every week with a new thread. Haven't a breeze how those things are done. Just throwing this out there everyone but I am sure someone has a better idea.

Urgh, I remember this car more clearly now, what a horrible thing it is :D

Quite laughable that this thing the so called poster boy of customer racing handles so badly over the limit. I'm sure it is mighty exciting to drive at 9 tenths and feel amazing, but I think it is more fun to be able to push the limits and still be able to recover the car, this thing is stupidly hard to catch once you reach the tiny limit of the steering lock.
Having just driven the Ginetta GT5 beforehand, (now that is a car for some serious racing!) it was probably clear my opinion today on such thing as a Lamborghini  wasn't going to be particularly favourable :)

Did this earlier in the week, didn't bother posting at the time as it wasn't even enough to go up a place on the board, had another little go today but its not doing it for me so may as well submit the time anyway.
