1. Do you need support for Assetto Corsa Competizione? Please use the proper forum below and ALWAYS zip and attach the WHOLE "Logs" folder in your c:\users\*youruser*\AppData\Local\AC2\Saved. The "AppData" folder is hidden by default, check "Hidden items" in your Windows view properties. If you report a crash, ALWAYS zip and attach the WHOLE "Crashes" folder in the same directory. Do not post "I have the same issue" in an existing thread with a game crash, always open your own thread. Do not PM developers and staff members for personal troubleshooting and support.
  2. As part of our continuous maintenance and improvements to Assetto Corsa Competizione we will be releasing small updates on a regular basis during the esports season which might not go through the usual announcement process detailing the changes until a later version update where these changes will be listed retrospectively.
  3. If ACC doesn't start with an error or the executable is missing, please add your entire Steam directory to the exceptions in your antivirus software, run a Steam integrity check or reinstall the game altogether. Make sure you add the User/Documents/Assetto Corsa Competizione folder to your antivirus/Defender exceptions and exclude it from any file sharing app (GDrive, OneDrive or Dropbox)! The Corsair iCue software is also known to conflict with Input Device initialization, if the game does not start up and you have such devices, please try disabling the iCue software and try again. [file:unknown] [line: 95] secure crt: invalid error is a sign of antivirus interference, while [Pak chunk signing mismatch on chunk] indicates a corrupted installation that requires game file verification.
  4. When reporting an issue with saved games, please always zip and attach your entire User/Documents/Assetto Corsa Competizione/Savegame folder, along with the logs and the crash folder (when reporting related to a crash).

SRO E-Sports GT Series, Kunos Simulazioni and Ak Informatica will join forces to organise a two-hour Assetto Corsa Competizione race at Monza next weekend (29 March), uniting real-world and sim drivers while raising money for charity.

The Italian circuit was set to open the 2020 GT World Challenge Europe Powered by AWS season prior to the global COVID-19 pandemic and will now provide a fitting stage for the online contest. Scheduled to run at 14.00 CET on Sunday, the event will feature 40 drivers racing Assetto Corsa Competizione, the official game of SRO Motorsports Group.

Real-world racers, celebrities and professional sim drivers will be invited to take part, while the event will also feature five wildcard entries chosen through a public hot-lap contest. This will be open from 23 to 26 March, with the five fastest drivers earning an invite to race.

All competitors will be asked to make a minimum €15 donation to the COVID-19 Solidarity Response Fund, which supports the World Health Organization and its partners in their response to the ongoing pandemic.

Global fan engagement will be an integral part of the event, which will be live streamed on the GT World YouTube page and across social media, including the new SRO Motorsports Group Twitch channel. Fans can also join the conversation on Twitter as the GT World Challenge Europe account keeps track of the action from start to finish.

Registration begins on Monday 23 March, while the free practice server opens on Friday 28 March. Sunday will begin with free practice at 10.00 CET and qualifying at 13:15 CET, before the main race goes green at 14.00 CET.

I'm surprised by this, I thought ACC devs were against touching the original SRO BoP.

The BP BoP is excellent in a world where real teams and real cars have join a season over many tracks.
For single events like this, this is a compromise between having the real deal, and avoiding a single manufacturer race (because simracers don't need to buy a car, commit to engineers and so on - and ofc. because simracers are simracers).

Same for the SRO esports series last year; we took actions in organization to prevent all participants picking the one car that is 0.015 s faster in a Q lap on the precise circuit. Just because it is too easy to cherrypick a car in the virtual world, and it isn't good for the event and especially viewers. We could also have went for a slight ballast for the one or two cars that may appear pretty quick on a specific track instead, no big deal actually.
(And btw. there was no race where only "the one car" was overly competitive, we even had winners with B-cars)

I entered. I don't think I have any chance of making the top 5, but whatever its for charity right? Very excited for it.

Yeah, that's what I gathered from looking at the tweet replies. Hope it doesn't.

Personally I think penalties in ACC are much better handled than in AC - and very close to IRL - so I don't quite see the issue.

I suppose for events like these with drivers that may not be as familiar with the software it might be a good idea to do a test and training session beforehand. Just like in real life race control on occasion (first test or practice session of the season) does FCY and red flag tests so everyone is up to speed on what to do. Do the same with a formation race start for esports events.

Real drivers have a Test server with race sessions I think, for the Sunday Monza event. If they use it or not, is a different matter...

We are running organized test races every evening and there's a cycling test server with a short race session up for pros and invitees during the day. If the start is not clean on Sunday, it's really not gonna be the organizers to blame. :)

Particularly because it's not even a competitive event that's gonna matter for any championship, it's all for charity.

Not blaming anyone. Real driver getting DQ'd, getting unhappy with penalties and others agreeing that the sim's penalties are trash even though they're not just seems like the last thing this sim needs. He seems to have taken it well at least.

Can I be an Invitee? I'll start last and stay out of the way lol.

Mainly because there is NFW I am going to be able to put down a 1:46 like the aliens. Took all I had to get a 1:49.
