Car time ranking

Courtesy of the RSR rank, I have sorted all the AC cars by relative performance, so you can see what car matches up with what. The top 5% of PRO rank lap times are averaged across
Spa, Mugello, Imola, Silverstone, Nurburgring GP and GT, Vallelunga Full and Classic, Monza, Magione, Zandvoort, Barcelona GP and Moto, Brands Hatch GP, Red Bull Ring and Laguna Seca.

The lap time taken is the median of all PRO lap times at a track from the world record to 5% slower e.g. if the world record was 100 seconds, lap times from 1:40 to 1:45 (105 seconds).

Air temp between 25 and 27 degrees, track temp is between 34 and 39.

From AC 1.14 onwards, when wind was introduced, times are only taken from hotlap sessions with no wind.

Because not all car/track combos have times recorded, when comparing two cars to see which one's faster, the comparison only looks at tracks where both cars have times recorded. The "Diff Prev" column in the list below shows on average how many seconds slower the car is than the previous car, where they have tracks in common.

Why is the 458 GT2 missing?

The number of total entries per car or the number of used entries per car would be interesting along side the lap time. Maybe somehow have the popularity of the certain combo play a role in the stats, popular cars/combos will produce faster lap times, but atm I don't know how.

Thanks for your work on making this list.

However, taking the GT3s for example, I would say it's still too soon to make any accurate assumptions.
Many of the combos are missing some of the faster guys laps.
Either way, still good for a ballpark estimation.

I just hope you have already put a mark on your calendar to come back and readjust the list after some time has passed.

Seems odd to me, that the GTA is faster than the QV, but I suppose it's my bad.
Also, some other cars are not where I expected them to be, relative to others, but maybe the data is incomplete?

 

Being a programmer, it's automated. I expect to come back after some time and press the button again, as it will only get more accurate with time and more laps.

 

Good effort Wally, but what would really be nice is a global ranking list of all cars on Nordschleife, Tourist and 24h.

Would great to have this on AC too, or at least RSR should have the option to select the track and list All Cars WR for that track, currently they don't have that otion. Hm, now that I think about it I should ask this in their topic.

Of course we wont have hours, but you get my point.

 

Great list but remember some of the car/track combinations have very little activity in terms of total drivers who've completed a clean lap as of now . For instance i'm 4th fastest in the M3 E30 at Nords tourist which sounds awesome until you see there's only 5 registered times ha ! .

 

I wouldn't worry about any of the Nords layouts, in a relative short time the leader boards will be very populated.

It's odd that the Evora GX seems to have slightly quicker lap times than the Evora GTC. In my case, it is exactly the opposite, although that's with default setups for both cars.

 

I've published a new list in the first post, with only times set since AC 1.1, since some cars' performances have changed in that release. There are several car/track combos with no times, so I've averaged each car's relative rank at a track, such that 1.000 is the fastest time. This is to allow for averaging across different combos with missing data.

I will update this over time as we get more post-1.1 laps in the RSR rank.
