1. Do you need support for Assetto Corsa Competizione? Please use the proper forum below and ALWAYS zip and attach the WHOLE "Logs" folder in your c:\users\*youruser*\AppData\Local\AC2\Saved. The "AppData" folder is hidden by default, check "Hidden items" in your Windows view properties. If you report a crash, ALWAYS zip and attach the WHOLE "Crashes" folder in the same directory. Do not post "I have the same issue" in an existing thread with a game crash, always open your own thread. Do not PM developers and staff members for personal troubleshooting and support.
  2. As part of our continuous maintenance and improvements to Assetto Corsa Competizione we will be releasing small updates on a regular basis during the esports season which might not go through the usual announcement process detailing the changes until a later version update where these changes will be listed retrospectively.
  3. If ACC doesn't start with an error or the executable is missing, please add your entire Steam directory to the exceptions in your antivirus software, run a Steam integrity check or reinstall the game altogether. Make sure you add the User/Documents/Assetto Corsa Competizione folder to your antivirus/Defender exceptions and exclude it from any file sharing app (GDrive, OneDrive or Dropbox)! The Corsair iCue software is also known to conflict with Input Device initialization, if the game does not start up and you have such devices, please try disabling the iCue software and try again. [file:unknown] [line: 95] secure crt: invalid error is a sign of antivirus interference, while [Pak chunk signing mismatch on chunk] indicates a corrupted installation that requires game file verification.
  4. When reporting an issue with saved games, please always zip and attach your entire User/Documents/Assetto Corsa Competizione/Savegame folder, along with the logs and the crash folder (when reporting related to a crash).

Banned for posting my opinion about pcars

    What is up with this bull**** banning policy? I just got banned and received the following message:
    "Second warning and ban - Forum rules #5 #6 #8." First of all, I have never received a warning in the first place on my real account (biolankomposti). Secondly, I have broken none of the cited rules, especially rule 8 which is copyright infringement. What I did was voice my opinion about PCars in the correct thread and got banned for that. It's almost like we were on WMD forums or something where criticizing the game is not allowed. If you have an issue with my critique, please point them out instead of revoking my access to the whole god damn site and thus support for a game I bought early-access.

    Here is the post that got me banned:

    "Okay, I torrented it and ran into exactly same problems that I had with the leaked alpha version and Shift 2. I still can't figure out how to get the steering right. Just like in Shift 2 I sometimes find it hard to simply drive a car straight after coming out from a corner, feels like there was some added artificial fishtailing to make it more difficult. Tried lowering the "steering sensitivity" (whatever that **** is supposed to mean) and it helped but made the steering overall worse. Why can't I just click a "linear steering without any "sensitivity" bull****" checkbox and be done with it? Infuriating. The dynamic tire model seems to be **** like before, sometimes it's like racing on ice and sometimes you have endless grip through a corner. Whenever I crash in Assetto Corsa I'm like "Why did I do that again?" but in PCars my reaction is more like "Why the **** did that happen?". The handling of cars is simply unpredictable. I'm afraid it has been designed with consoles in mind and they've botched the wheel handling again.

    The only positive thing I can see is that FFB is much better than in the alpha, but I don't think I'm buying this game unless they make some major changes."

    What was so horrible about that post (apart from my opinion) that warrants a one month ban?

    oh oh, smells like...

    "I torrented", "got the leaked alpha" and similar hints that make you suspect of doing piracy.

    Saying your oppinion was truly not the main reason I think.

    Piracy is not a trivial thing, calm down, sit back, take some time and think seriously about.

    i agree thats too harsh if you did not get a warning. its easy to see these threads as casual discussions among peers & sometimes things will "slip", i hope they will reverse or severely shorten the ban
