1. Do you need support for Assetto Corsa Competizione? Please use the proper forum below and ALWAYS zip and attach the WHOLE "Logs" folder in your c:\users\*youruser*\AppData\Local\AC2\Saved. The "AppData" folder is hidden by default, check "Hidden items" in your Windows view properties. If you report a crash, ALWAYS zip and attach the WHOLE "Crashes" folder in the same directory. Do not post "I have the same issue" in an existing thread with a game crash, always open your own thread. Do not PM developers and staff members for personal troubleshooting and support.
  2. As part of our continuous maintenance and improvements to Assetto Corsa Competizione we will be releasing small updates on a regular basis during the esports season which might not go through the usual announcement process detailing the changes until a later version update where these changes will be listed retrospectively.
  3. If ACC doesn't start with an error or the executable is missing, please add your entire Steam directory to the exceptions in your antivirus software, run a Steam integrity check or reinstall the game altogether. Make sure you add the User/Documents/Assetto Corsa Competizione folder to your antivirus/Defender exceptions and exclude it from any file sharing app (GDrive, OneDrive or Dropbox)! The Corsair iCue software is also known to conflict with Input Device initialization, if the game does not start up and you have such devices, please try disabling the iCue software and try again. [file:unknown] [line: 95] secure crt: invalid error is a sign of antivirus interference, while [Pak chunk signing mismatch on chunk] indicates a corrupted installation that requires game file verification.
  4. When reporting an issue with saved games, please always zip and attach your entire User/Documents/Assetto Corsa Competizione/Savegame folder, along with the logs and the crash folder (when reporting related to a crash).

Generic Weekly Hotlap #91 - TT Challenge

Welcome to the thread for the Weekly Hotlap #91 - TT challenge

    The Challenge.

    Car: Audi TT Cup
    Track: Nurburgring GP (GT)

    ambos.jpg
    carro.jpg

The TT cup is a fun car to drive!
This model is part of the one make championship Audi organized from 2015 to 2017,and it served as an opening event for DTM races. This year, due to lack of entries, it was cancelled.
The TT is an interesting car, no doubt about that. A single-turbocharged vehicle generating 310bhp, as because it's very light and small, it can be fairly quick.
Well...it is somewhat oversteery, specially if you push it to the limits - the default TC helps with this though!

    Assetto Corsa.jpg

Nurburgring served as one of the TT cup (and DTM obviously) so i think it's fitting that the challenge should take place in this track, I choosed the GT version because of the last chicane: many people (me included) find the last chicane to long and hard, so the shorter chicane should be easier to go around, and provide faster laptimes and reduce the difference from the aliens to the rest of us :p

    The Rules.

    Mode: Hotlap
    Time of day: Free
    Ambient Temp: 26 Degrees
    Setup: Free
    Controller: Free
    Assists: Factory
    Stability: Free

If it isn't mentioned here then assume the setting is free.

Please make sure you have the ambient temperature set correctly, and that you are in hotlap mode, I really don't like disallowing times!

    The Deadline.
    Sunday August 12th 2018 - 21:00 GMT.

    How to take part!
To enter simply head into the game select Drive > Hotlap and choose the Audi TT Cup and head to Nurburgring GP (GT). Make sure you setup the session using the settings detailed in this thread and hit the track!

You can run as many laps as you like and update your times as often as you like, its simple :) All Platforms are welcome, it is all about having fun and enjoying Assetto Corsa.

To submit a time, pause the game and select 'session' from the menu and screenshot this page or take a photo of your screen and post it in this thread - Note all the information from the screen is required including temperature, mode heading and of course the car being used!

Feel free to post video clips and share information in here as well, but without the session screen your time will not be included (placing the session screen in a video clip is acceptable).

You also need to state the time and your platform in the body of your post, this should be the first thing you do, the image should then be placed below the text. It would also be helpful to mark updated times with Improvement. This makes collating the results much easier. Also,to avoid mistakes on laptimes, please enter them with the format x.xx.xxx. This format makes it easier to work with Excell.
A leader board will be collated from time to time, this will keep everyone up to date on where they currently stand...Unfortunately editing of posts gets locked on this forum so this post will not be updated.

Feel free to use the unofficial leaderboard but remember you still need to include the session screen in this thread to be included in the results.

Good luck and have fun ;)

Obviously P2P button disabled in hotlap mode. Steering lock (540 degrees?) automatically enabled. You can experience that in the hairpin curves which results in heavy b(l)ocking of the steering wheel.
Will give this more attemps during the week. Wednesday less warm temps predicted.

Still 3 secs seperated from the top RSR time...

    Two vids just for fun.
disclaimer: Using this as reference is completely at your own risk and will probably not. I repeat NOT, improve your best time

First couple of laps also 2:10-2:14. Then I figured out this car has some kind of power steering. Slightly* touch the throttle while cornering. Scraped off a couple of seconds.

*slightly, mid or full throttle depends on the corner angle. Sounds like a pro right :D:p

Not bad for a fifteen minute investment! But now that I think about it, I've probably used this car just once previous to tonight. And with that engine note, I think I know why. Still, it's interesting in ways, if not peculiar in my book!

Not the most exciting car for me neither, but that's what is great in our hobby, we have so many choices, so many different cars to drive, I really love this diversity.
And Hugo like a good DJ makes his choices very wisely :)
    Can't wait the weekend again!

Thanks for the confidence in me but I'll probably sit this one out. I find this car a little boring to drive (uber-stable) and not a fan of the circuit either.

Fwd requires a different technique to drive fast than I’m used to. It’s also not a very exciting car. But I do like the track. I’m sad I missed the last challenge cause I was on holidays, the lotus 25 is a great car.
