1. Do you need support for Assetto Corsa Competizione? Please use the proper forum below and ALWAYS zip and attach the WHOLE "Logs" folder in your c:\users\*youruser*\AppData\Local\AC2\Saved. The "AppData" folder is hidden by default, check "Hidden items" in your Windows view properties. If you report a crash, ALWAYS zip and attach the WHOLE "Crashes" folder in the same directory.
  2. FOR ASSETTO CORSA COMPETIZIONE: If you report issues with saved games, please always zip and attach your entire User/Documents/Assetto Corsa Competizione/Savegame folder!
  3. If your game executable is missing, please add your entire Steam directory to the exceptions in your antivirus software, then run a Steam integrity check or reinstall the game altogether.

    1.0.9 is broken on high graphical settings. It crashes for me like clockwork on all circuit and car combinations (including stock) until I start backing things down. Patrods suggestion does not work for me.

    There are consistent error messages from multiple users referencing files that look like they were on a dev box, and never got updated for end users.

    Go try it yourself. Max out your graphic and post processing settings and try and load silverstone.

    Guys...this has happened enough now to where EVERYONE who isn't a noob or new to AC should expect problems. They Kunos guys are busier than most people on the planet right now...time to buy them some vino :)

    There have been several occasions where updates have downloaded and no info on them has been posted for days in the subforum for announcements, just in the last few months. And nothing would show up when you'd try the button for "update info" in Steam or tried in-game either. Nobody wants to go dumpster diving in the game folder looking for update changelogs every time there is a patch brought online.

    AC has a lot to learn from PCars in this regard - every update is fully documented on the forum before you can even download it, and any play workarounds needed are prominently noted.

    i must admit its crazy how fast they are rolling out these updates. But the next update, will be 1.1 meaning NEW CARS, hoping the ruf enters the game.

    It was mostly audio fixes ;). Luca is really working hard on it! The LaF skid sound is perfect again. THANKS!!!
    Sure the other guys are working hard too, but its not showing yet :D :p

    Maxed everything. No crashes, dropped my FPS down to the 40s with just me out there though.
    PP to Dynamic, all sliders to ultra, maxed smoke and all mirrors and reflections. Silverstone

    The hassle for me is that sound file updates have broken almost all of the custom maps...none of which have any sound files. Kunos should state what will need to be done.

    I can live without Modded cars as I only had a couple, but the tracks (modded ones) are almost the only reason I play this game. I'll go play my other racing sims until this gets sorted.

    Disabling post processing seems to have done the trick for me. Lake louise (which was the easiest to cause trouble with) starts up just fine with PP disabled, and so do all the stock tracks. even at max settings. Silverstone decided it didn't want to play ball with heat shimmer. Lake Louise wouldn't take PP at all.

    Post processing, SLI, and 3 screens required for the bug maybe?

    Partially agree. But don't people "dive" into the game folder when they are downloading mods? Plus like @Quffy said, you can see the changelog in the AC menu, so there's no need to search for the .txt file.

    I understand the sim likes CPU power, you are running almost a ghz faster than I am. That is probably most of it.

    I don't think people say it is bad on AMD, what they say is AMD is not so great at putting drivers out. The hardware is fine.

    Big FPS improvements for me on in game cars and tracks, have not tried mods yet and I recently removed all mod apps and reinstalled game fresh. Still getting some minor crackling though.

    the update notes have to be in game, not everyone reads forum,
    game needs to tell you , update bla bla bla, modded content might be crashing, needs to be fixed with this and that

    Our servers were not updated and may be joined without any problem.
    Verify your firewall .... I had twice the surprise to discover this same kind of problem ... assettocorsa.exe was gone from my authorized softwares in the firewall.

    Maybe due to another update in the week ? ....

    Wait, how do you know that every ten numbers, a car is coming? o_O. Those badges in game refer to extra content in development from what I've heard.
