1. Do you need support for Assetto Corsa Competizione? Please use the proper forum below and ALWAYS zip and attach the WHOLE "Logs" folder in your c:\users\*youruser*\AppData\Local\AC2\Saved. The "AppData" folder is hidden by default, check "Hidden items" in your Windows view properties. If you report a crash, ALWAYS zip and attach the WHOLE "Crashes" folder in the same directory. Do not post "I have the same issue" in an existing thread with a game crash, always open your own thread. Do not PM developers and staff members for personal troubleshooting and support.
  2. As part of our continuous maintenance and improvements to Assetto Corsa Competizione we will be releasing small updates on a regular basis during the esports season which might not go through the usual announcement process detailing the changes until a later version update where these changes will be listed retrospectively.
  3. If ACC doesn't start with an error or the executable is missing, please add your entire Steam directory to the exceptions in your antivirus software, run a Steam integrity check or reinstall the game altogether. Make sure you add the User/Documents/Assetto Corsa Competizione folder to your antivirus/Defender exceptions and exclude it from any file sharing app (GDrive, OneDrive or Dropbox)! The Corsair iCue software is also known to conflict with Input Device initialization, if the game does not start up and you have such devices, please try disabling the iCue software and try again. [file:unknown] [line: 95] secure crt: invalid error is a sign of antivirus interference, while [Pak chunk signing mismatch on chunk] indicates a corrupted installation that requires game file verification.
  4. When reporting an issue with saved games, please always zip and attach your entire User/Documents/Assetto Corsa Competizione/Savegame folder, along with the logs and the crash folder (when reporting related to a crash).

    These are not screenshot but photo made with my phone of the mirrored image on my flat screen.
    I change VR pixel density depending of the track or condition, for zolder dry I can use 190 and stable 45fps ASW, for nurb with night I drop to 160, for now these are the only test I could have done with this tweaked engine.ini ,I will test more track and condition later.
    These tests have been done on multiplayer.

  7. here 2 photos taken through the oculus lens, proof this is not that bad in VR, in the rift this is very less blurry, this is the phone that is adding all these blur.

  9. if you have a wmr it can be the reason, I read somewhere on the forum that they are not integrated as default in the UE4 and that can create scale issue

    Very interesting - I run at 1920x1080 which is different than your set-up - I noticed you turned sharpness all the way down to zero where I have it maxed otherwise it gets worse. I run in-game pixel density at 150%

    I have also added the following section below to the engine.ini - it was recommended here and am experiencing with it

    EDIT: Tried changing the resolution to what you have and it does not take it into account - it is almost like if it has no effect with VR (which am new to). Do you launch ACC through SteamVR at all?

    I am with rift cv1. I hope they dont wanna put away that option out. Pc1-2, RRRE has it and far way comfortable when you can set for yourself.
     
  12. The screen resolution I have done a test and kept this resolution, I don't remember if it had an impact on perf, need to test again.
    Sharpness I have tested in VR with max value and off, I couldn't notice any difference in graphics so I kept it off.
    I will try with your console variable.
    I don't use oculus traytool, just ctrl+3.
    I don't use steamVR, I just right click on the game then choose launch in VR.

One thing I did for know if world scale was good was to compare the size of my hands when on the wheel with the hands in the game, for do that, I up my head and I can see by the gap under the headset at my nose level my hands so it is easy to compare, sometime we can thing the scale is off but it isn't.

    If i wanna compare or measure its is like everything is just 3/4 size of the "real" size, its feels like this:

    Maybe i have one more option to set my height smaller or taller in oculus settings but i doubt it will be my secret weapon for this problem.

    Actually, you did the right thing by setting it up to 1024x768 resolution in the settings as it has NO impact whatsoever on the Rift resolution and rendering. It actually helps with stressing less the comp as it will have impact on the view displayed on the PC - disabling full screen helps too. Sharpness doesn't seem to matter hence why many folks set r.Tonemapper.Sharpen=3 or 2
    I have better results and behavior by setting pixel density in OTT and leaving it at 100% in the game settings. Am still fine tuning from having tried tons of settings from many relevant threads in the forums. Will post my findings once done.

    I said I would post my settings once I have reached something satisfactory in terms of performance and quality in VR, here we are:

    Asus Zephyrus GX501GI Gaming Laptop (runs pretty much anything at max except VR naturally)

    Intel i7-8750H CPU @ 3.8GHZ

    1TB SSD
    No Overcloking

    Software:
    Running Win10 Pro

    VR
    Oculus Rift CV1\
    Oculus Tray tool with Pixel density of 1.5 (150%) and ASW Locked 45fps

    I have been reading a lot of content around VR performance and some related to ACC - Please find below what allows me to run 45FPS in all camera views pretty much - depending on the track I use a pixel density of 1.5 to 1.8 but I tend to leave it at 1.5 most of the time.

    If you are srtuggling with performance a bit, I would reduce r.TranslucencyLightingVolumeDim to 12 or lower and set pixel density to 1.4 (140%) - Of course if you have the equivalent of a an Nvidia 1070 GPU.

    In-game settings:
    ** Note that you can set pixel density to zero in the Oculus Tray Tool and instead use the In-game Pixel Density and set it to 150 or 140% for instance.
