1. Do you need support for Assetto Corsa Competizione? Please use the proper forum below and ALWAYS zip and attach the WHOLE "Logs" folder in your c:\users\*youruser*\AppData\Local\AC2\Saved. The "AppData" folder is hidden by default, check "Hidden items" in your Windows view properties. If you report a crash, ALWAYS zip and attach the WHOLE "Crashes" folder in the same directory. Do not post "I have the same issue" in an existing thread with a game crash, always open your own thread. Do not PM developers and staff members for personal troubleshooting and support.
  2. As part of our continuous maintenance and improvements to Assetto Corsa Competizione we will be releasing small updates on a regular basis during the esports season which might not go through the usual announcement process detailing the changes until a later version update where these changes will be listed retrospectively.
  3. If ACC doesn't start with an error or the executable is missing, please add your entire Steam directory to the exceptions in your antivirus software, run a Steam integrity check or reinstall the game altogether. Make sure you add the User/Documents/Assetto Corsa Competizione folder to your antivirus/Defender exceptions and exclude it from any file sharing app (GDrive, OneDrive or Dropbox)! The Corsair iCue software is also known to conflict with Input Device initialization, if the game does not start up and you have such devices, please try disabling the iCue software and try again. [file:unknown] [line: 95] secure crt: invalid error is a sign of antivirus interference, while [Pak chunk signing mismatch on chunk] indicates a corrupted installation that requires game file verification.
  4. When reporting an issue with saved games, please always zip and attach your entire User/Documents/Assetto Corsa Competizione/Savegame folder, along with the logs and the crash folder (when reporting related to a crash).

    Hi lads,

    As time for preordering pCARS with bonus cars is coming to the end, I'm thinking about preordering my copy.
    The problem is that I splashed lot of cash recently and I'm thight on budget now.
    AC is a perfect sim for me due to the feeling of the cars and their behaviour, and cars and tracks selection... but I liked SHIFT 1 (with mods ofc) a lot... but the cars even with mods were so, so floaty... and I'm afraid that after playing so much AC, pCARS will feel like that and I know I wouldn't stand such floaty feeling of the cars. And if it will, then I won't be playing it thus the cash will be wasted.

    So should I invest in pCARS? Please remember I'm currently tight on budget...

    PS. please also look at my hardware specs. It allows me to run AC with high/ultra details, with AFx8 and AAx4, and all effects on in 1280x1024 with resonable ~75 fps in most cases.

    I never preorder. I wait so i can check reliable sources for info on the product. Sure with Pcars there is a lot of info out already so if you know you will like it and predorder give you a better deal - why not. Up to you mate. :)

    If your budget is tight then wait a week or two after it's released, read reviews, opinions and decide. Unless these bonus cars are so important for you and worth the risk.

    Dunno why you need to ask others to buy or not to buy things, but ok.

    You have asked and I say: If you like Race Sims you have to give it a go and buy it. Otherwise you are not able to make your own oppinion about it.

    It's $37.50 on Greenmangaming which is an official Steam reseller and you get the pre-order stuff. It is a retail copy so you will get it 1 day later than Steam. Make sure to use the VIP price which requires you to make an account. It probably will not be much cheaper than that at the Steam Summer Sale. You could also go for a gray market key site like G2A if you're willing to risk a small chance of having keys revoked for a couple dollars less.

    I don't know anything about third party game resellers. How does GMG works ? Why do we have to wait one day after Steam to get the game on GMG (you said cause retail copy but I don't get it) ?

    I'd like I like to make love to beautiful women, still I really can't put some milk in my coffee !

    What it comes down to is whether forming your own opinion on own experience is worth it for you to separate with all that money. And when your opinion formed up says that it is bad, you still have lost all that money.

    With the own-opinion-argument you must buy the same shabby yellowpress newspaper that you hate so much every morning again and again - because else you cannot form your own opinion on whether they may have improved their style and quality of journalism (or not). ;) In other words: opinion and action are disconnected for you, and no matter your opinion, you always buy it anyway.

    Tricky!

    My advise: wait. Listen in for feedback. Then, after a reasonable amount of time, decide.
